Appliance Repair reviews in Smithfield

  • Took three trips to get the job done. I appreciated that the technician attempted the least expensive fix the first time around. When this did not solve the problem, I was able to quickly reschedule and get them back out to re-evaluate the situation. The parts and labor warranty ensured that I only paid for the visit fee for the first time out. The ultimate fix was more costly, but the part came in quickly and the technician was back out to install it just two days after its arrival. Arrival was alway prompt, including a text message alerting me that the technician was on his way to my location.

  • Danny's Appliance was contracted out through Home Depot to install our new dishwasher. Devin (who I later learned was the owner's son) came out and disconnected our old appliance and then attempted to install our new one. At that time, we found out that there was a pipe blocking the install area (we'd recently bought the house) so Devin suggested we call a plumber and he'd be back once the pipe was moved/removed. He and his assistant proceeded to roll our old dishwasher out and water started leaking everywhere onto our newly installed floors and carpeting. He told his assistant to "just move faster". They left without coming back in to wipe up the water and we were left to clean up the trail they left behind. In addition, an hour after they left, we noticed that there was about 2" of water collecting under our sink storage cabinet area. Eventually we figured out that they had turned on a water pipe and had not shut it off before leaving. I called Danny's Appliance to ask what to do (before we figured out it was just a pipe that was running everywhere) and the receptionist said she would try to contact Devin....he couldn't be reached, so she said she would have his father call him since he might ignore the store's calls but probably not his dad's..... When Devin called us back he seemed annoyed that he might have to come back out, and wasn't even the slightest bit apologetic that they'd left a water pipe running when they'd left. ......I would like to say things then took a turn for the better, but they did not. After calling our plumber, we found out that the pipe behind the dishwasher area was actually our main drain and it could not be removed, meaning we could not install the particular model we'd purchased through Home Depot. After setting up the return through Home Depot, we called Danny's Appliance back to request that they come and disconnect the dishwasher, as they'd partially connected the plumbing and we were told by Devin that they didn't do that and that I could disconnect it myself and use duct tape to close the open drain. I was annoyed by this and asked him to check with his FATHER since I now knew he was employed by him, and his reply was that he would have to call me back. He never called. And now when our dishwasher is going to be picked up by Home Depot, we will be left with an open drain (and a useless sink) until a new dishwasher can be delivered and installed. What terrible customer service and overall service in general.

  • Merki is awesome! We had another company come out 3 times to fix a refrigerator that kept icing up but they never fixed it correctly. Merki diagnosed the problem, verified he was correct, then ordered the parts. And when he had difficulty finding one of the parts, he went above and beyond tracking that part down. Merki was extremely professional & pleasant & answered all my questions. Alex, who handles the phone calls was also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to call again if I needed to.

  • I called him and left a voicemail and he returned my call in about 15 minutes. We setup an appointment for the next day and he called 30 minutes in advance and arrived promptly. He diagnosed the broken belt problem in minutes. He said the price difference for changing the belt and doing a full maintenance change of parts was $50. I decided to go with the full maintenance after looking at the insides of my dryer. He was professional and courteous throughout.

  • Machine was very loud in the spin cycles and suspected bearing issue.  Not an emergency as washer worked.  Technician came in at 6 pm on Tuesday and consulted with supervisor over the phone as to which part needed replacing.  Used I-pad to find part and gave me a price of $340 to repair.  Decided to go ahead as machine is otherwise a great machine.  Scheduled repair for Saturday the 15th at 8am  with Supervisor and additional person training.  Three tech's for 2.5 hours.  Very complex repair.  Told us to not use it for 24 hours to let seal and sealent set up and dry.  Machine works great and very quiet.  Very professional group.  Glad we had Angies List to guide us to the right repair shop.

  • We were very pleased with his demeanor and honesty. He told us what our options were and gave us price estimates for all options. He did not try to sell us anything. Just gave us our options so we could make an informed decision. Will definitely use Warner's appliance again in the future.

  • I needed a good time option and was pleased with the flexibility available. I was given a time slot of 4pm - 7 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Randy called approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving and arrived at 4 pm.
He was very thorough and professional and also gave me some tips on maintaining and how to do some things myself in the future. For the Double Oven, Randy had to trouble shoot an error message on the keypad. He needed to let the issue surface again, and although it did not during his time at my house, he told me what he did and based on what happened was able to narrow the problem to the root cause. He took the model number he needed, did some checking and within 30 minutes of his leaving, he called me back with a part number and also gave me an option to save me over $100. for the repair.
Overall a very good experience and very professional.

  • My initial description pretty much says it all. Once again, I am very satisfied with this company's performance and always call them first if I need service. I have a service contract on my appliances and when I call in for a repair, I specifically request this company.
