  • Generally it went well, as promised. 
    If it were possible I would give a B+ rating, but more because of the apparent nature of stone countertop installations than this particular provider. This installation went well but a few months afterward we noticed that the seam between two sections is slightly uneven. Jack came to inspect it and dismissed it as not uncommon in these installations. I wasn't sure how to take that evaluation. But recently I visited another home which had a more substantial (ie, expensive) countertop installation than my own and found the same problem, although not as pronounced as my own. So caveat emptor -- if you're pay close attention to details, you may not be entirely satisfied with what you get but apparently it's the nature of the beast.

  • Good selection of granite with friendly, informative staff at the shop. The counter tops were delivered on time with professional installers. The granite looks good in my new kitchen. The only negative I encountered was due to my lack of knowledge when buying the sink which was placed in the granite. I asked the shop staff about the sink grate, but was unaware that they should have been purchased with sink. The very first day I used my sink after installation, I washed out the slow cooker base. Now every day I must look at the large scrapes in my sink. I spent lots of money remodeling and now I must deal with these ugly blemishes in my sink. I still haven't been able to find metal bases for the sink because all manufactures say I should have bought them with my sink.

    My guest bath granite - blue pearl with a square sink is so beautiful. It reminds me of a 5 star hotel!

  • Luxus Marble and Granite went from being an A+, to an F overnight.
    I would have written a raving review had I not experienced a smalll issue that delayed my kitchen project from being completed for an entire month.
    I visited their showroom in May when I was just about ready to break ground on my kitchen remodel. The sales representative Melissa was super nice and provided me with a lot of knowledge and information.
    I searched for and found a granite slab that I loved at Boston Granite Exchange toward the end of May. I forwarded the information to Melissa and she provided me a quote within minutes.
    About a week after I reserved the slab in Boston, Melissa called me to let me know that she acquired a slab of the Sienna Bordeaux granite from one of her suppliers and could offer it to me for a cheaper price than the one at Boston Granite Exchange.
    I visited the showroom that day to view the slab and place my order. Melissa put me in the computer immediately to be measured for a template and an install date.
    Template was done on 6/11 and install happened on 6/20.
    The following week my contractor was back in my kitchen to finish some eletrical work and install the appliances. At this time he was also planning to begin the tile backsplash.
    When he installed the appliances, he called to inform me that Luxus failed to install a Stove rail. I had no idea what a Stove rail was.
    The type of stove that I purchased was a slide in. This means that the surface does not come flush with the wall, therefore a small piece of granite needs to be installed behind the stovetop.
    I called Luxus immediately to let them know that this needed to be installed in order for my contractor to begin the tile backsplash. I left a message and waited 3 days for a return phone call. I called again and reached Melissa. She said she would look into it and let me know. I received a call the following week with the details of how much it will cost to install this new piece. An additional $175. The following week a technician came to the house to measure for the new piece. I received another phone call let me know that their would be an additional cost due to the fact that they needed to install not only the stove rail, but a piece of granite backsplash as well. The balance would be an additional $116.
    Finally, today, July 31st the work was completed. (and my contractor was finally able to begin the work on my tile backsplash) Although the rest of my countertops were done perfectly, this new piece had a noticable seam. Not happy, but what bothers me the most is that they left the invoice for me and the cost of the materials were $116. The description for the $175 charge states and quot;Trip Chargeand quot;. Are you kidding me? They had the nerve to charge me for labor after they screwed up! If they had asked when they came to measure for the template what kind of appliances I had, this would not have happened. However, I could not get them to admit to this mistake. So I had to pay in $ and time.

    Superior customer service when they are trying to obtain your business. Once they have it, you'd better hope nothing goes wrong.

  • Cannot say enough wonderful things about Quality Granite! My husband and I are new to the area and shopped around for a long time to find what we liked for the best price. Our taste is really champagne on a beer budget - so we knew it would take a special place to fit our needs. Quality had a beautiful selection... it was aparent that much time and attention was taken to select the granites, marbles, etc that they had. There are larger stone yards in the area - but they aren't worth your time. Veronica (the manager) was amazing - she totally understood what we were going for and helped us select the perfect pieces aestetically and financially. She made the whole selection process so enjoyable! Bill (the owner) was amazing and really worked with our renovation schedule for templating, fabrication and install. As a nervous nelly he certainly set all my worries at ease. Denise (the owner's wife) and Duval (the lead fabricator) were lifesavers today and actually came out to help with a small issue we had with our bathroom sinks - angels:) Truely these are people you will want to do business with - we could not be happier with the outcome and we made some wonderful friends in the process.
