"Everyone that I was in contact with was terrific. They were quick to respond to my inquiries and to install the new system. They removed our old system and installed" a new one from the ground up. The best part is the automatic controller, we no longer have to manually turn the system on and off. Just set the temperature I want and the system takes care of everything for me. So glade that we invested the money into a new system, we are enjoying our pool so much more this year. I would recommend this company and use them again.

"After the initial discussion with the engineer who measured sunlight and shade and oriented me to the technology -- he was amazingly clear and talked to me like" an equal -- I dealt with the office via email. They answered every question or query about time and procedure within an hour or two. They worked with my budget plans and kept me up-to-date on scheduling. Every email exchange was human and warm. These are vendors!!!! Who else is like this??? and I was excited and they responded to my excitement with appreciation. It was so cool. First of all, the installation was scheduled between blizzards. They came and they shovelled me out --- three guys with shovels cleared my deck, the area around my garage, made a passageway to my back door and a passageway around the house to where the ladder to the roof had to go AND the guys who did the work were the electrician and the chief engineer and another engineer!! They did it as if it were the most obvious and pleasant thing they could do on that day. I was so sorry for them. I had 3-4 foot drifts everywhere and a healing shoulder and couldn't do anything but watch. They smiled and laughed and were glad to do this. Some of what they did was necessary for the installation but they cleared a LOT of space. They were amazing: very careful about bringing snow into the house and about insulation from the attic getting on the rug. Totally apologetic when I was just happy they were there! I'd still be waiting if I had to wait until after the snow was gone. The planned location of the inverter box didn't quite work so another location was found that worked very well. I must have asked the question about 'how much noise will it be' a million times and not once was the phenomenal electrician impatient with me. He explained everything. When he had to route the cable through my problematic ceiling fabric, he did it without disturbing anything!! How did he do that??? Meanwhile other guys were in the attic with masks and suits (nothing up there but insulation), installing support beams. For the next two days they cleared the garage to hold 30 panels and prepped the roof to take the rails until finally the roof was dry enough to do the installation. Then it was three guys on the roof, one guy on the ladder carrying panels up to them, and the electrician making the connections in the house. They finished in three days and we stood in a circle while they turned the system on as the snow began to fall again. When 30 out of 30 panels came online in spite of the
, I almost cried. They all were grinning at me like kids. The whole experience was one of the greatest in my existence. You must understand. I knew NOTHING about solar power except that I wanted it and had wanted it a very long time. To decrease the use of fossil fuels, my carbon footprint, even by one person is a very big deal. They took me every step of the way and now that I have the meter running and the numbers showing me my own solar power production, it feels like I have seen the future and it's MINE. I cannot praise this company highly enough. There are just no words. If anyone who reads this is even slightly considering exploring solar power, GO FOR IT. Use
. They will make it happen for you!

8 tips for finding the best solar panel installer

One highly rated provider shares eight tips to help you find the best solar panel installer for your home and get the best return on your investment.

3 types of solar panels: pros and cons

Are you confused about how solar panels work? Manufacturers produce three general types of panels, with variances that affect efficiency and performance. Find out how the three types differ, and which might work best.

Connecting your residential solar power to the utility grid comes with advantages, but for some homeowners a stand-alone solar system is a better fit.

Are you talking about powering your home solely on solar (i.e. no back up power source or off grid).

The power, once convered from DC to AC via the inverter, is suitable for use by the home.

Most solar application are in supplement to the current powering of the home and will spin the meter back in the day but are not the primary.

OK - that should strike Atlantic Plumbing off your vendor list !

You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.

Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.

It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.

Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

So you don't have to read my long review if you don't want to: You can't go wrong with
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. If you don't contact a single other solar installer, you won't be missing out. If you do, you'll find out what a value you get from
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. I have nothing negative I can say about
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
or his crew. A+++ I decided I wanted to install a medium sized solar panel array after one of my coworkers had a system installed. A solar panel system has a lot of components, and there are a good number of choices you'll have to make when selecting one to install. I started by calling the company that installed my coworker's. They are a big company and do a lot of installs. My friend claimed that he was able to get a special deal through 'Solarize Orange County,' which is supposed to reduce prices by committing a large number of clients to install solar. He paid just over $20,500 for polycrystalline panels and a string inverted system. One of the first things you will find about many of the big solar installers is that you are rarely going to talk to someone that actually does the work. You'll talk to a sales guy. In fact, with both companies that I contacted, prior to contacting
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, I had to wait over a day to get a call back. Contrast this to
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, and its owner,
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, and the experience was totally different.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, being the owner and installer, answered my call immediately, and spent a long time on the phone with me discussing my solar needs and concerns. I could tell that his
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was far more in depth than the sales guys from the other companies. On to the pricing....
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
's pricing was better than the solarize project pricing that my coworker had gotten, and
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was using as good as, if not better equipment. In fact, since
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
did not have a solarize project, the two big companies that provided quotes were $3500 and $7000 more, respectively.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
is able to give you better pricing because he does not have a sales staff to employ and give commissions to, nor does he have a ton of overhead. Now, some of the big companies will offer to fight your
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
battle for you.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
isn't likely to do that. Personally, I think if you are going up against your
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
to install panels, you will be a better advocate and presenter for your position than an outsider. But if you go with the bigger companies, know that you are paying for those extra services that you likely aren't going to need. Choosing
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was the obvious choice compared to the other companies... His pricing was the best. He was the most knowledgeable person I had spoken with. He was the most responsive and attentive to detail. My install was going to be more demanding than most. I live in a neighborhood with strict architectural guidelines, and my panels were going to have to be on the front of the house. I had to go through a very difficult process for approval, complete with appeals and massive amounts of paperwork and preparation.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, knowing that my approval was not a sure thing (in fact, it was unlikely), patiently provided me with all the information I needed, including bringing some equipment by so that I could present it to my board in the event it was needed.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
also realized that my install was going to have to look perfect. He used black solar panels with black frames, and all black mounting rails and hardware. Against my black roof it was going to look great. After a long hard fought battle, I won, and I was finally able to sign the contract with
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. The time elapsed from the first contact to contract signing was about a month and a half.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
started the install about 2.5 weeks after we signed the contract. It took his crew about 4 days to get the panels and everything done. There were a few trips back out to the house with inspections and small follow-up work. It was as expected. The install was beautiful and one of the best looking front facing installs I've ever seen. I couldn't have been happier. However, prior to having the system turned on, my painter almost ruined everything by spraying paint onto many of my brand new panels.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
's crew worked hard to get the panels cleaned of paint, with a smile on their face, and the panels are back to looking like new.
So, in short, choose
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
if you want who I think is the best solar crew in the area, you want good pricing, and you want an efficient and skilled crew. Choose the other guys if you want to pay more, and you want to support flashy vans and slick sales presentations...

The representative was well prepared and gave us a wonderful
presentation. When I saw how much money
the solar panels were going to generate, I was sold. Between the tax credits, a
grant from the county, SREC (credits for using solar power), BGE savings and
BGE pay back, it will not be long before the system has paid for itself and the
advantages and money will keep on coming.
The best part is that
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
takes care of all the paperwork
so that I
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
’t miss any savings. Most of the time all I have to do is sign and
return the forms. I would recommend
everyone to get solar panels for great savings for their checkbook and also for
a better environment. Of course, Renewable
Energy Corporation is the best place to get quality solar panels and excellent
service.

They did a very good job. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. They installed it in a prompt and reliable fashion They even went above and beyond to help me with the previous Solatube that had been incorrectly installed. What more could you ask for from a service provider?

They were very responsive. Great service. We originally installed two and added a third because we were so pleased with the outcome and trusted this company to do good work.

Things went extremely well, installers arrive at the appointed Time.

Prior to installation they reviewed how the installation would be performed and the location of the inverter on the side of the house. Placed exactly as we agreed to.

The crew was cordial , respectful, and out going and operated in a very professional manner.

Highly recommend this crew, work was completed in less time than they predicted, left the job site as if they were not there

After signing up with Solarize Amherst, we were quickly contacted by
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
who came out and did an evaluation of or home. The employee who did the evaluation was very informative, telling us about what he would be doing for his evaluation.

We then met with the
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
representative at their office who gave us detailed information about the system they were suggesting, the cost, the tax incentives, SREC's and payback period for the system they were proposing. He explained in detail not just the system, but the contract, rebate and SREC program. We felt very comfortable signing the contract after this meeting.

They then sent a structural engineer to our home to evaluate the roof and it's support structure. While he was a contract employee, he again was very informative and walked us through what he was doing and the calculations he would be making to insure our roof was able to carry the load of the proposed system.

I was then contacted by
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
,
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
's Operations Manager who set up the time schedule for construction of the project and then winter happened. Between gaps in snowfall, our roof cleared enough to have the system installed. The work crew were as expected from our earlier experience with this company, courteous, informative and respectful. They also were safety minded as the winter was effecting their work.

There is a tremendous amount of paperwork and communication required with different agencies and our electric company.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
, in particular,
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
took care of it all while continuing to keep me updated at every step. This company was wonderful to work with and I recommend them highly.

Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was one out of three highly rated companies listed on the "GoSolarSF" list of companies that I contacted.
Out of these three, the rep for
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was the only one who actually bothered to go up on my roof and measure shading/look at the roof. Also, he noticed two issues with our electrical system that were overlooked by the other companies (water line not grounded, inspector might ask for second grounding rod).
Having done my research, I asked all three companies for a specific system with LG Panels/Enphase inverters and
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
also came back with the most competitive bid, including fixing the two electrical issues they noted.
Scheduling the installation in
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. 2014 was a little tricky, due to weather, but
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
managed to get it done and knocked out the install in one day.
We had a very thorough City inspector, but nonetheless the system passed inspection right off the bat.
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
also handled all the paperwork regarding city permit/net metering/Go Solar SF rebate and everything went through smoothly.
Everybody at
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
was very pleasant to deal with and so far the system has exceeded the performance that I expected.
Highly recommended.

Everything was smooth start to finish, I called for an estimate and
Greene Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
came out right on time and provided an estimate on the spot. I was quote by one other place and everything was comparable, price was a little better. On the install date the workers installed the system and at the end of the day showed me how to use it. It's been a couple weeks and so far everything is working great, the pool is warming up. It has a temprature control so I can set the desired temp and so the current temp.
