  • Quick response..a true gentleman...diagnosis in 2 on hand...he is a surgeon with the tools and has the expertise to match...took extra care to explain what he was doing, providing cleaning advice and even cleaning out lint.

  • He knew what the problem was, gave the estimate and fixed it. He had obviously had experience with this issue before. We have had no problem since the repair. I would definitely call him back if I had other appliance repair issues.

  • They did a great job! Easy to schedule! They send out a text to confirm the appointment and another to let you know the technician is en route. Merki, our technician, was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He had my washer fixed in no time. He gave me an estimate upfront and, in my opinion, it was reasonable. I would recommend them to all of my friends!

  • I asked the company by phone and letter to cover these repairs or make good on any on this. They turned me down flat and said since it was more than 1 year it was all my problem. Shoddiest work I have ever seen. Dont ever buy an Electrolux product if you are smart

  • The service was good. It took a long time to get them to the point of getting a brand new washer, but the service guys were good. Just be persistent in the phone calls if any issue you have with them. It took a while, but I had to have several service calls to get it replaced, but eventually the more service calls you have, the more the keys you have for getting something replaced that should have been working from the beginning.

  • We purchased a Miele washer and dryer from them and when the washer was having trouble, I contacted Wickford for service. They sent out a technician that said we needed a plumber and they would send one out the next day. He charged $90 for that and was extremely rude. The plumber was there for literally 15 minutes and charge $125 and was also not helpful or friendly. Very disappointing experience after spending thousands of dollars with them.

  • It was fixed very quickly! |I also used him last year to fix my dryer which had a bad sensor.  Both times I called and left a message and was called back within 30 minutes.  He is very nice, punctual and professional.

  • I had some issues with the installer, but give the overall job an and quot;Aand quot; because a followup service (necessitated by the hot water heater installation) was outstanding. Installer didn't call before arrival and lacked professionalism. It was a very cold day and failed to close the door to my house every time he went to his truck. He installed the heater and replaced a section of PVC where my washing machine discharged and replaced it with a and quot;Yand quot; section to accommodate the hose from the condenser pump from the heater. The next day, I washed laundry and when I returned to my basement, the floor was flooded. The discharge hose from my washing machine was capped to prevent overflow and the installer didn't cap the new pipe nor did he warn me that it might overflow. I called the company and Ben called to find out the problem. Ben called to let me know he was on his way and made the modification to the pipe that was needed to avoid future overflow. This involved replacement of part and another pipe, but the cost was reasonable and I was happy with the fix. At the same time, he installed a lever on my water hookup for my washing machine, again at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely use Wickford again, but only if Ben can perform the service. I didn't have an Angie's Deal for the heater install, but Wickford's price was almost $1,000 less than the estimate I got from Jand K Plumbing - a company I did use and like from a previous deal. I recommend Wickford highly and also recommend getting multiple estimates.

  • The plumber showed up approximately 1/2 hour late. He spent about 15 to 20 minutes diagnosing where a leak had come from. He started by checking where I had discovered a leak in the basement the night before. I told him I shut the water to the refrigerator ice maker because I thought that may be the issue. He pulled out the refrigerator, noticed some warped wooden panels underneath and concluded that was the source of the leak. He provided a card from a company that could do mold mitigation even though there was no evidence of mold. He claimed they have plenty of experience going through insurance and that they would need to rip everything out to dry it and treat for mold. He then proceeded to charge me $150. A $50 dispatch fee and $100 for the diagnosis. When I questioned the charge, he laughed and said "you wouldn't question it if a doctor charged you that much for a diagnosis". An overall terrible experience. $600 an hour to diagnose a leak. Unbelievable!

  • We purchased most of our home appliances from AJ, which was recommended by my contractor. I had done some research, but was not able to get all of my questions answered online (i.e. exact sizes, some specifications, some questions regarding brand quality). The sales person at AJ was able to answer ALL of my questions quickly, and was able to make suggestions that guided me toward purchase decisions that I am satisfied with. Upon purchasing the oven, I realized it was not working properly. I called AJ to let them know. They contacted the manufacturer - turned out to be a known problem by the manufacturer. They sent a new part, and tech from AJ came and repaired for free. Delivery, sales, and installation people are all very professional, knowledgeable, and care about doing a good job. Will recommend to friends, and will make future purchases from there, as necessary.
