  • This is such an excellent company, start to finish. Great at communicating everything. always easy to reach & knew exactly what they were doing- they knew exactly how long it would take- they were always on time & worked hard all day. They knew exactly what materials to use. The craftmanship & professionalism are outstanding. I would recommend this company to everyone. Our house looks and feels brand new!

  • Everyone we dealt with was very nice. The painters arrived on time and were hard workers. The quote was to power wash, prime (with a heavy duty Mad Dog primer) and apply two coats of paint, however, I believe only one coat of paint was applied. I brought this up with the owner and the workers insist they put on two coats of paint, but some of the original paint showed through in spots. This means they would have had to miss the same spots each time they applied a coat of paint. The trim and siding they replaced was done well. This work was done in September of 2015 and I was assured the paint would last at least a few years. They told me the Mad Dog primer would take care of any problem areas. Unfortunately, the paint is already peeling in some areas. I sent multiple emails to the company over the past two weeks and left a voice mail. I have yet to be contacted by anyone. This is very disappointing.

  • Received a quote and changed the job times once the next 3 weeks. Once the job was decided, it was re-quoted; never with any pressure. The team showed up on schedule, always prompt, courteous and very professional at the job. The job was completed on time and it met with all my expectations. I recommend this company very highly.

  • Two workers came out to do the job and it went quite well. They were right on-time. They are very prompt both for the initial meeting and the day the services were performed. They left the area very clean. It went very smoothly and timely.

  • Great.  They had to remove the surrounding siding outside as well as the light fixtures.  Also removed all interior trim and replaced it perfectly.  The doors went in quickly, the clean up was wonderful.  They had the best price for the doors of the 3 places we checked.  Too soon to see if the doors are as draft-proof as we hope....waiting for really cold weather!

  • I called him up and he brought some young kid over that wanted $80 but Jerry Genest said he was going to do it, so I am going to the court now. It was ridiculous. He didn’t power wash the side of the house like he promised and that was part of the contract. He did a fine job on the siding and he fixed the gutter, those were fine jobs but he just beat me for washing the side of my house and I was stupid enough to pay him. I think he was taking advantage of. If he doesn’t do what he says he is going to do, that is fraud. The pricing was high, I have had lower bids but then he said he was going to wash the side of the house, I said okay. Ripping people off isn’t very professional.

  • BACKGROUND: We have a 60 year old ranch house with a couple of additions about 20 years old. We decided, reluctantly about 17 years ago, when the next incremental coat of paint would require major prep work, to go with vinyl siding for the low maintenance. Back then, we went with a large national company, who, ultimately, sub-contracted the job out to someone else. They did a poor job, and we recently discovered that water was getting under the window trim and finally rotted the window frames. We now needed to repair the damage.
NEW WORK: We decided that we needed to replace all of the windows and the siding. We decided that this would be a good time to replace the exterior doors as I wanted to change the size of the doors as well. One room also needed extra work to replace a knee wall as part of the window replacement.
RESEARCHING VENDORS: I am a reasonable person, but particular about the details. I got several quotes and interviewed the principals. While several were qualified to do the work, Ocean State came in with the best price. Price is not the primary qualification, but after his presentation of why he felt he could do the job, and his suggestions of what he recommended for solutions, I asked for references of recent jobs. After checking these, all were very positive. I decided on Ocean State.
WORK DETAILS: John DiMauro is the owner of Ocean State, and was on-site for most of the project. He has assembled an excellent support crew who were friendly, skilled craftsmen. John's prediction of when he could start the job based on his current commitments, which was a couple of months out at the time, was right on. As work progressed, he and his crew worked very efficiently and finished in the time he expected - cleaning up the area each day. John had some great suggestions when we reached a few places that had some options for details. In particular, one corner of the house had a wall of windows that required the removal of the entire corner. He added the knee wall here with the new windows, replaced an exterior door, and did extensive trim work inside. The result was beautiful. His capabilities are definitely more than just windows and siding.
RESULTS: John and his crew more than satisfied my expectations. His attention to detail and penchant to satisfy his customers wants and needs, has made me a very happy client. Many of his suggestions along the way have resulted in an improvement on my own ideas. I can definitely recommend John Dimauro and his crew at Ocean State Home Improvement for any job large or small.

  • Peter Kasabian came out to provide us with an estimate for our project and he was immediately a pleasure to work with.  He was on time, highly professional, and enthusiastic about the project.  He made it an easy decision to choose Kasabian Construction for the project.
Peter met with my wife and I several times before the project started to take window measurements, review our options, and even assisted with product selection and color choices.   We had a difficult time choosing a color scheme for the siding so Peter went the extra mile and not only made recommendations, but procured samples of different siding selections and temporarily installed portions on the house so that we could see how he house would look.  It was very helpful.
Once the project got started, he and his team were here when they said they would be and the work was completed efficiently.  All of the windows were installed in one day by him and his small team and the siding was completed in a few weeks.  The cost was exactly on target with his estimate and I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work.
The team took special care in their work and added an uncommon level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in everything that they did.  Throughout the the project, I was in constant contact with Peter.  When I had questions he always answered his phone and/or responded to text messages immediately.  When we ran into a minor problem with an aspect of the siding job, Peter quickly came up with a creative solution.
Overall, I was very impressed and pleased with the work.  I would strongly recommend Kasabian Construction to anyone that is looking for high quality work and exceptional service.  I would add that Peter is not the low cost provider out there.  However, in my opinion, the service provided is still of significant value.

  • Simply put - There is no better than StateSide.
Ron came to my house to provide an estimate. He spent time with my wife and I explaining his products and services. He showed us samples of material and of work he recently performed on nearby houses. He measured my house and called me back several days latter with a price. There were no hidden cost in the work he performed. The quote was the quote.
We did have a minor issue that was a misunderstanding between all of us. Like a true business man, Ron was professional and did all he could to rectify the situation.
My yard is always well groomed. Ron's team did not destroy any of the planting and to this day, I have not found 1 nail or piece of scrap in the mulch beds or flowers. They were really neat and took care of my property.
As far as my house goes, the before and after pics are like night and day. It looks so much newer and cleaner. My neighbors love the new look. If I ever had to redo the whole project over, I would hire Ron without looking else where.

  • The owner, Ron Lariviere, came by and measured the house, showed us various samples of siding and gave us a quote based on our selection. The whole process took about an hour unlike a couple of hours with two other companies. The actual work didn't start for a couple of months  and took two weeks to complete. We were and are very pleased with the outcome and quality of work performed.
