  • We've used them 30 days, it's six generations.  It's probably less than $100. I keep going back because they get all A's. I've known them forever, so my first impression was probably was in my teens because my parents went there.

  • It's set by the state, I think it's $38. They're consistent, I've been with them years. They're definitely competitive. Clean, neat complete punctual and they always get it done. The workers are confident. They leave my vehicle spotless.

  • I've been satisfied with them so far. I haven't had much done. It's convenient, the place is very neat and the people are very nice basically. I could walk there from here, probably take 15 minutes, so it's close. They are very responsive.

  • They are big enough so that they have the people they need to take care of you as you go in. The mechanics just do their work. The mechanics are not running out and pumping gas or answering the phone. They had good division of labor. It's well organized. The price seems reasonable. It may take a while, while they are doing someone else's car. They may have 6 cars in at one time.

  • Everything went very well. They changed the wiper blades, and worked on my breaks/struts. They also did an alignment. I have been using them for over 30 years. I normally just drop the car off, and they call me when it's ready. You can make an appointment if you want. They generally call me back in a day or two. I have a second vehicle, so I let them know it is not a rush. They take very good care of their customers, and do a very good work at a reasonable price. They know most of their customers by name.

  • They put a, what should have been a brand new Lexus alternator, which was over $700 retail, plus I think they put in a new battery, which was probably a couple of hundred dollars plus labor and I think they charged me less than $200. It was more like $180 or $190. They were giving me basically the wholesale price on the alternator and not charging me labor. They're superb. I had been there for 25 years before. They're probably one of the highest rated places in Rhode Island. They did go through all sorts of hoops to try to fix my car. They gave me an alternator that was a vastly vastly discounted price compared to what retail would have been. They put in several different batteries, they put in several different alternators. A lot of times they didn't charge me. So I don't have anything against them. It's just that somehow they never were able to really figure out how to nail the whole situation. It was very frustrating to them, you could tell. For them, it was extremely complicated, to figure out what was going on. Part of it was that it had a legacy security system that we didn't know about, that was somehow interfering with the electrical system. The guy who runs the company actually came out to my house to look at the car because I couldn't get it started for the gazillionth time. He and a mechanic actually came out to my house to look at the car, to try to start it and figure out what was going on. He was the one who figured out that it had this weird thing that might be causing the electrical issue. Ultimately, I didn't leave because they were incompetent, I left because I would walk in and they would all just hang their heads like, "Oh no, not again. Please, not your car. You're kidding me. There is something wrong again." I couldn't keep doing that to them. They're a really solid shop, they're wonderful people. It's a kind of place where they know your name. People go there forever just like I had. They're not the cheapest place to go. I think they have good prices, but I don't think they probably have bargain prices. They're very professional. I'm not going to switch back to them but I would use them again.

  • I really love them. Before, I had been taking my car to D & M, which is a big operation and has great, great reputation. I had been having a longstanding problem and they were trying to be helpful but it took a long time to get it resolved. I had just decided I wanted to go somewhere else after they finally did resolve it. I've been super happy with these people. It's a little shop. They're really good about educating you and actually showing you the pieces and then showing you what a piece would look like when it is replaced so you can see the difference. They are really good about giving me less expensive options if I need them. I've been to them now three or four times in the past less than six months, just because I have an older car and it ends up needing repairs fairly frequently. Every time I've been very happy with what they've done. I thought they did it in a timely manner. I thought they got it fixed the first time. I thought the price that they charged was reasonable. They're very polite and personable. They are amazing. They diagnosed the problem. The night before, they actually stayed open to diagnose it. They had me come in the next day. The guy who was in charge worked on my car. The way you diagnose is kind of by sound. Even though it sounded like it was the one side, it was the other. So they basically fixed, repacked and made my one wheel like it was new and worked on the one that actually did need the work. Then they took money off of the whole thing because they had started out with the wrong wheel. They charged me for the one that they did fix that needed to be fixed, but they also took money off of the amount that I would have spent. They didn't charge me at all for the service that they did on the other wheel. So basically I ended up with two new wheels for less than the cost of one. They totally ate up the cost of their mistake. Plus, gave me a discount for my trouble. It was awesome. So basically they gave me $700 worth of service for $300. They're wonderful. Being a woman, trying to get work on your car, this is a wonderful place to go. They listen, they don't act like you're stupid, which does happen sometimes. They're respectful but not stiff. It's like dealing with your uncle who deals with cars. They have kind of a nice balance there between being warm and being professional.

  • I had a flat, it was in a place where I couldn't pull over. In the process of trying to get someplace to get it taken care of, the tire rim actually cut the tire. So then, I had to have new tires put on. They did some kind of fix to my oil pan. They're kind of good at tracking it, like knowing what kind of things might come up with a car like that. When they're looking it over to fix it, also kind of taking note of what I might not need to do right now, but I might need to keep on my radar to keep the car safe because it's a 2000 Lexus. They worked really hard to try to find tires in my price range for my car.

  • These two guys are great. Very honest and straightforward. They fix just what you need well and don't try to upsell you. I've had two cars fixed 3 or 4 times in the last year or two and they always do a good and prompt job for a fair price. Very knowledgeable too.

  • He spent time and his labor checking out my car and did not charge me. I offered to pay for his labor and he refused. I have gone to Maher's Auto for years. The most important information anyone needs to know is that the owner is honest and you can trust his work. He has worked on the various cars I have owned and I am never disappointed, thus a longtime customer. If you are looking for a trustworthy auto technician, you should give Maher's Auto a try.
