    Excellent, Clyde the installer, called and was able to come earlier. Took him around 3 hours. Cleaned up afterwards, and explained how the system works. If I had any problems to call the company or him. It has been about a month and I am very satisfied. I would highly recommend this company to others. Before installation readings were 5.9, after installation steady readings of 1.9.

    Hearthstone Home Inspection
    This was my first ever experience on needing to have a home inspection as I am a first time home buyer. Without having any idea what to expect I did not have any issues. Brian walked me through each part of the inspection explaining what he was looking for, what the issues were if any, and information on how to correct the issue. If I ever need another inspection done, rest assure I will be calling back again.

    I was going to have an air conditioning system installed in my home.  The system was going in the attic.  I was concerned that the insulation in the attic might contain asbestos since the house was built in the 50s.  On a saturday evening I called ABC and Tom answered the phone.  I explained the situation and he offered to stop by on Sunday and take a look.  He did a visual inspection and said that it was vermiculite which more than likely contains asbestos.  Of course the only way to know for certain is to have it tested and with multiple samples.  Tom explained to me in detail all the steps required for removal and disposal of the insulation. Tom gave me a quote on the spot to remove it ($3500).  He also quoted me to install new insulation.  His prices were very fair.  Tom also showed me a leak in the roof and the chimney that I didn't know existed.  He emailed me separate quotes for the asbestos removal, new insulation install, and roof/chimney repair.  And he was able to start work that tuesday.  I was very pleased with the work that Tom did.  He was professional, friendly, and hardworking.  I would recommend him to friends and family and would use his services again.

    I first called Craig Clark at Ocean State Air Solutions in March 2013 to ask him to help us take care of a crawl space that was not sealed properly.  Craig promptly scheduled an appointment to come to our house on March 26th to take a look at the problem. 
    Craig arrived on time and was very friendly.  He looked at the crawl space and the rest of the basement and made suggestions as to how we could remedy the odor and high humidity issues we were having.  His suggestions included properly encapsulating the crawl space to prevent the musty odor from coming up from the dirt floor of the crawl space (we currently just have a thin vapor shield that does not do the job during the humid summer months).  He also suggested installing a large dehumidifier with ductwork that would remove moisture from the air and circulate the air in the crawl space so that mold does not grow (we were running a small dehumidifier that couldn't keep up with the moisture level).  He took the time to explain each suggestion in great detail and he presented different options for both the dehumidifier and encapsulation materials.  He also mentioned we could easier install additional insulation in the crawl space once it was encapsulated--although this is something his company does he gave me instructions on how we could do it ourselves to save money.  When he left he said he would e-mail me a detailed estimate the following day.
    True to his word, Craig e-mailed me an estimate on March 27th with all the information we had gone over.  After my husband and I looked over it, we realized we could not afford to do all of the work at once.  We chose to install the dehumidifier first and encapsulate the crawlspace as soon as we could afford it.  I spoke to Craig about our choice and he understood why we were going with the dehumidifier first.  He did inform us that the dehumidifier only would not get rid of the odor, but it would insure that no mold would grow.  I explained I understood we would have to put up with the odor and we were fine with that as long as we knew we wouldn't have a mold issue.  He than placed an order for the dehumidifier and said he would contact us to schedule the installation once it arrived.
    He called once they received the unit and scheduled an appointment for April 16th.  On that day two of his employees came to install the dehumidifier and ductwork.  They arrived on time, they were friendly, and very informative.  The process was quick and they cleaned up completely after they were finished.  Craig also came during the installation process to check on everything and make sure I was happy with the work.
    We have had the dehumidifier running for four months now and I couldn't be happier!  Especially considering the humid month of July we had I was very pleased with the performance of the system.  Having the water removed automatically from the dehumidifier to the exterior of the house is wonderful.  This allowed us to keep the system running even when we were on vacation.  I am even able to have the water drain into a watering can so I can use the water to water my plants.  Although we do still have an odor issue, it has been kept in check by this system--the odor last year with our small dehumidifier was much worse.
    We look forward to working with Ocean State Air Solutions in the future.

    Mark arrived on time (he was, in fact, a bit early and proceeded to take a look at the exterior prior to our arrival with his snowshoes on). The house and yard were snow covered, so he was not able to inspect parts of the exterior. However, he has indicated that he is going to go by the home again shortly to check on the rest of the exterior. If this does occur and I receive images and information for all of the areas that were marked as incomplete due to snow cover, I'll likely bump the overall experience to an "A." I was around with Mark the entire time and he answered all of my questions as we went. He provided a number of insights about our home and his subsequent report included pictures and recommendations for the issues found. I also sent a list of about a dozen questions to Homespek via email, ranging from what downspout drainage he would recommend to whether we need insulation between our refrigerator and range, and he responded within a couple days. The main negative of the experience is that the person doing the radon test was late (I believe she did not arrive until the next day), which held up that report, but I didn't need to speak with them regarding radon anyway. Minor negatives are that I felt like the inspection might have gone slightly quickly (~2 hours for a 1756 sq ft home--I was expecting closer to 3 hours, though he didn't seem to be zipping through anywhere) and the report could have been a bit more thorough (the recommendations were a little vague in spots, which is why I sent the follow-up email that was answered satisfactorily).
