  • I received the quote and there were never any hidden fees.... They were on time when they said they would be here and finished on schedule as they stated.... Nothing was too small to be completed and the price was very reasonable... I would highly recommend this company

  • These guys were A-MAZING! The staff was professional and gave me updates at the end of each job. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I could not find ONE THING to complain about when the jobs were completed. They were super neat and very friendly! They even went the extra step to make sure the gates were secured when they left so I wouldn't have to worry about it when I left the dogs out! I would HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone! They are definitely my go-to electricians from this point forward! GREAT JOB!

  • These guys are good. Contacted through Angles list late on a Friday. Derek called me on Sunday evening. Wasnt expecting a return call until Monday. I explained what I needed and he asked if he could come out to look at the job and do an estimate. He showed up at the arranged time and said to give him a couple days for the estimate. I had set parameters for when I needed the job done and said the only way I could hire him if it was done prior to that date. I received the estimate and he was able to fit me into his schedule. He showed up exactly when he said he would. Told me it would be a two-day job. As soon as they showed up, they got right to work, explaining to me what he planned on doing. I was at work while he was doing the job while my son stayed here to supervise the house. Derek and his crew went above and beyond patching some of the dings I had in the wall prior to painting. I was very happy with the first day results. They showed up on time again on the second day and my son texted me to let me know that they were done by noon. As most married men know, as long as the wife is happy it's all good. She was extremely pleased as was I when I saw the results. I would definitely hire DS painting again.

  • First project of painting entire home interior was done but some areas were clearly not painted but said they were.  Contractor promised to return and resolve during second project hired for....installed customer supplied doors, partially resolved warped door but never returned to resolve first paint project or warped door.  Did not return calls or emails - still have emails on file as valid proof contractor did not respond.

  •   The provider arrived right on scheduled time. He worked along with an assistant to complete the job. The job consisted of taping off the walls in the living room. I didn't want to go up to the ceiling, so the height was decided by myself.  I purchased the paint for the walls and the borders. The furniture was already removed from the room. The job was done neatly. Mr. Nelson cleaned up after each day. The job took two days to complete. I'm very happy with the results of the painting. The room looks great. Now I need new furniture.

  • The end result was that they did a good job, but what I was told would take two weeks ended up taking two months since the workers were all doing this as a side job.   Overall nice guys, but there were definite communication problems between them.  I ended up being charged for additional work when I discovered the original wall opening was too low for the new medicine cabinet.  Never mind that Ernie was with me when I bought the higher vanity, and Jack called in the order for the higher faucet that was in the way of the cabinet door opening.  Those two items alone would require moving the wall opening higher for the medicine cabinet. There was also a problem with damage being done in the house and no one owning up to it.  The electrician, Tom Ahearn, broke a custom picture frame, complete with shattered glass.  When asked about it, he said, "Sorry, I forgot to tell you".   How can you possibly 'forget? that???  When he was told the replacement cost of the custom frame, he accused me of ripping him off.  I should have given him the frame for HIM to take to a frame store to get his own estimate instead of spending hours of my own time dealing with his carelessness.  He was not a pleasant person to deal with.  I would have given the crew an 'A' for job quality if I would not have had wall sconces hung crooked by Ahearn.  Also, after Ernie was up in the attic installing an exhaust fan, the hallway ceiling was found to be cracked and the air conditioning vent was left hanging from the ceiling.  Again, all responsibility denied and he refused to fix it.  There was absolutely no one else who could have done it!  We also had an issue with 'he said, she said' on any job changes.  My suggestion is to put all job communication in WRITING ONLY.  I would also put a cap on how many times Ernie can charge you $65.00 for picking up supplies.  When mentioning that to an employee at a nearby home improvement store, he and contractors standing nearby all raised their eyebrows and strongly questioned why he was charging me at all for picking up his supplies.  Ernie took a vacation on week two, and left a beat up pickup truck filled with construction waste in front of my next-door neighbor?s house for a week.  Later he replaced the laundry sink, then left the old large concrete sink sitting in my driveway for a MONTH, not removing it until he received final payment.  In conclusion, I was very particular in what I wanted and specified that in the contract.  Leaving less to personal interpretation helped ensure more clarity to both sides.  Other than the paint left peeling on a door that was stretched to fit (cut too small for opening), and the crooked wall sconces, they job was of good quality.  I will also add that tile work done by Mike Larkin was exceptional. He impressed the whole crew with his professionalism and the quality of his work.  This group was relatively new in working side jobs together, and there definitely were enough amateur moments, but overall they did a nice job.

  • A price of $1600.00 was agreed upon.  When the job was completed we felt that the work done did not merit the original price agreed upon.  We contacted ABE and the price was adjusted downward in the amount of $400.  We were presently surprised that the adjustment was agreed upon with no argument.  ABE had done major house renovation in the past so we felt we wanted to have them do this smaller job.

  • The final product was perfect! The project took only 2 and a half days! We purchased all the materials (tiles, granite) and they charged $4,500 for the labor. No problems with them at all! This company deserve two thumbs up!

  • I was very impressed.  He did a beautiful job repairing the ceiling.  It is like nothing ever happened.  I was impressed with his ability to detect where the leak came from.  Because he was able to find where a leak happen should have happened, and he did find an area where it was leaking and was able to fix it right away before it became a problem.

  • Never received the estimate. Came to my home on June 30 and was on time, surveyed the home and stated he would provide cost estimate in one or two nights. I was very excited to receive because of the great reviews received. However my excitement quickly turned to disappointment becuase it is now 7 nights later and still NO ESTIMATE.  Needless to say I had to move on and request other estimates.  Very disappointed....
