Matt Mertz Plumbing-Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert
Experience with Matt Mertz Plumbing I don't want anyone to have to deal with this experience in their own homes. So i wanted to post this in hopes that I can warn you. We used Matt Mertz to install a French drain in our yard. I can not even begin to list the damage they have done to our home and property as a result of their work. I have owned 3 homes and have built all 3. I have never dealt with such disrespectful, unprofessional and obstinate contractors in 23 years.

Very professional and smooth work. Our old units were replaced in one day with SLP98, 98.7% efficient furnace, EL16XC1 air conditioner, Aprilaire air purifier, Healthy Climate humidifier control, and iComfort wi-fi thermostat. Furnace works quietly, and house is heated comfortably by set temperature. Worker crew of three men finished their work on time, and with cleaning the work area. Very pleased with their job.

    North Shore Kitchen Design Center
We first Hired NSKD to do design work for a major remodel of our kitchen. We were really looking for ideas at that time, as we knew we wanted to refresh the kitchen and change the layout in a major way. Paula and Sara patiently worked with us through possible layouts and options maybe as high as 10 different potential options. Once we chose a few options and started to consider the details and costs of the finalists we did decide on a layout, and refined it slightly more based upon cost and on some dimensional challenges. North Shore ended up with the remodel contract and used Elite Construction to do the work. They were both professional, attentive to detail and timely in their responses. The project finished in what both said was the most aggressive time they could hit - ahead of the expected time and in time for us to host a family Christmas gathering. Scope of the job included gutting the kitchen; removing a 45 degree corner to open up the kitchen; shortening a wall between the kitchen/family room; running the same tile flooring through both rooms; adding to the electric box; replacing a hot water tank; and in the kitchen implementing a new layout while replacing all cabinetry, plumbing, electric, lighting, countertops/backsplash and appliances. We have been using the kitchen now for two months, and could not be happier with the finished product.

    Elite Renovation Corp
North Shore Kitchen was hired to remodel our Kitchen and partnered with Larry and Elite Renovations to do the work. They were both professional, attentive to detail and timely in their responses. The project finished in what both said was the most aggressive time they could hit - ahead of the expected time and in time for us to host a family Christmas gathering. Scope of the job included gutting the kitchen, removing a 45 degree corner to open up the kitchen; shortening a wall between the kitchen/family room; running the same tile flooring through both rooms, and in the kitchen implementing a new layout while replacing all cabinetry, plumbing, electric, lighting; countertops/backsplash and appliances. The work also required an addition to the electric box, removal of a chase to the roof for the hot water tank exhaust, and replacement of the tank with a change in the exhaust routing. Larry was very attentive to the work to be done, and when something unforeseen came up communicated it quickly and arranged to have it resolve quickly. When a few cost-related items came up I felt like the costs presented were reasonable. We have been using the kitchen now for two months, and could not be happier with the finished product. I will also add that when we had an issues after the contract was finished - he worked through them and brought them to resolution.

    Mitchell Plumbing, Heating and Cooling
I had Mitchell install a new hot water tank and it was a disappointing experience. The installer used the old copper gas line connection (which I do not believe is up to code) instead of installing a new flex line. The values for H and C are probably 25 years old and those were reused too. I was never asked about getting a new flex line or values, the focus seemed to be on just completing the job as quickly as possible. I have used Mitchell for previous plumbing projects and I do not see me using them again after this experience.

    CLIMATECH INC
I did not have a good experience with Climatech. I schedule a request with them to tune up the air conditioning unit as well as check out why the hot water heater was not producing hot water. After the first technical visit that happen as scheduled, I was told that the technician would call me and discuss the repairs necessary for the hot water heater. I waited for a week and the call never came. So I called up their office and reminded them that I was waiting. I was told that the service technician would be reminded to contact me, but once again, I never heard back from them. I wasted 10 days in waiting to have the hot water heater fixed, then decided to call another vendor who promptly fixed it within a couple of days. Climatech seems to be unable to handle the business that comes their way, especially when they put up deals on Angies list. This is unacceptable service and unprofessional.

    Stahl Plumbing And Drain
He never showed up for the appointment. When I tried (for several days) to reach him by phone, it said his voicemail box is full. So, Im going to have to move on and retain someone else. Its a shame because when I made the appointment with him, he seemed very nice and professional. But I notice other reviewers said he did the same thing to them (missed the appointment). I note that the phone number he has listed on Angies List is the one that you cant reach him through after he misses the appointment. This is frustrating.

    M Kirsch Plumbing
Fixed furnace leak but just by tightening, not backing out plug to see if there were other issues. Found leak on water heater but didn't tighten. I fpund the right tool myelf and tightened later. Somewhat unclear about price for installing options of new water heaters other than his standard.

Matt Mertz Plumbing-Trenchless Sewer Repair Expert
Would highly recommend, we had a great experience. So happy with Chris, he came out and fixed an issue weve been dealing with for awhile. He was very knowledgeable and professional, explaining what he was doing as a fix and tips to help prevent it in the future. Very happy with the service and company, will definitely be calling them for future needs.

    Mertz Plumbing & Heating
Jim B was excellent in searching for any possible causes and thoroughly explained what was causing the odor. First, Jim B did a thorough inspection of gas lines, and all components both upstairs and downstairs where the connections to the gas line are located. He was respectful of my home, wearing booties and arrived even earlier than anticipated. I really learned a lot about gas heat from him and what it actually smells like. He asked me to open and close the door to that room and describe what the smell was like. (as compared to the odor of my gas cook top) Ultimately, he disovered that the foul odor was from the glass rocks in the fireplace, breaking down and melting. Thank you for having such a knowledgeable employee! He answered all of my questions and concerns and was very patient with me. Will ask for him specifically whenever I have any additional issues and concerns at my home.
