    Healthy Pet Grooming
I've been taking our pets to Healthy Pet Grooming for several years. They always do a fantastic job. My medium-to-long haired dog always comes out looking fantastic. The staff is accommodating with my dog and her needs.

He is not a dog that is supposed to be washed very often. He is a Red Healer. The place is hideously noisy. I think they do a very nice job. They are very professional. I know that they check on the dogs because the guy who runs it said, Oh, Einstein can come here anytime. He does not bark. He is happy when we come and see him. He is a good guy. He is very well taken care of. Grooming is extra. They make him smell good. He has a little necker-chief on. They make him all cute. I think they do an excellent job.

Our dog had Lyme disease so he does Lyme testers to find out if the dog is infected. He does, after they are done with the medication, which he did, he does the inoculation against it. That is really interesting because people cannot be protected from Lyme, but dogs can.

He is the closest one to us and also I asked the vet. He said he had never heard anything negative about them. The rooms are air conditioned. I think that they can go outside if they want to on their run. I think they can go out. They do not give walks. He is so crippled now. They offer a bath and grooming service, and so we always get him groomed before he comes home.

    Poo-Poo Pros
Lyle & company are very professional & upfront regarding pricing & services performed. Also, on a couple occasions I had asked if they could do the yard on a different day than our normal scheduled day of the week because we were having a party at the house. Lyle was always very accommodating & did what we asked. Excellent service for the price. Would highly recommend Poo Poo Pros.

We have a fiesty energetic to say the least jack russel mix rescue dog who is quite the handful when trying to trine his nails. When we first got him he was one, and tried trimming his nails and grinding them, but no matter how use to us he got and moldable he was, still fought for dear life to get away from nail trimming. We took him to every major chain place to get his nails done, but was quickly banned from all, after it took a harness, muzzle, four people's time and more than a few scratches along the way, but no bite thank god. We tried Denise and terry and told them how fiesty he was but they were willing to give it a try. Thank god they did, because four years later they still are trimming them. Even though it takes two of them and sometimes scratches, they continue to welcome our business at a really fair price. We were so concerned after first getting lucky that we would have to sedate him at vet every six months just for his nails. For being new dog owners we wasn't looking for something that high maintenance, no matter how much he warm your heart. But we probably would of, because he means that much to us, we might of afforded rent some months though, lol. Jk I'm not sure if a vet would even put him under every six months for nails, since it's not good for there health. Well I could talk all night about how grateful we are for Denise and terry, and how much they care about animals

EXCELLENT! She came and evaluated him & confirmed our suspicion that the time had come to say goodbye to him. She was so kind & caring at this emotional time- I wanted to be able to make it home from work to have the opportunity to say goodbye in person. Without even a second thought- she completely respected the importance of this to me so she left and setup to come back later in the evening once I was able to get home. Her guidance throughout the whole process was so wonderful and we were able to all gather around him at one of is "favorite spots" in the house, pet him, cry on him as he ever so peacefully made his journey to the Rainbow Bridge. And that's not even all of it- when we were ready she compassionately carried his body out of the house and took care of the arrangements for having him cremated and returned to us.

The hotel staff are very caring and they try hard to accommodate any needs. We love the place even though we hate leaving our cats behind when we travel. The cages are multilevel and they give the cats blankets, rugs, shelters as needed (one of my guys always wants to hide). The cats have playtime outside the cage, with extra time if purchased. It can be expensive even with the discount because our cats room together, but it's worth it to know that they are well taken care of. The vets are also quite competent and caring and are always willing to chat about any concerns.

I would not ever bring my pets here nor recommend this company business to anyone.  I brought my 2 beautiful long haired cats in to get Lion Cuts.  Denise and Terry are a husband and wife duo that groom pets.  I was told they had the latest equipment for cat grooming and went based on a recommendation from a dog groomer.  I picked up my cats.  Paid $155.00 for the cats assuming all went well because neither mentioned anything about the grooming process other than they couldn't give my male cat a bath due to feisty behavior.  When I arrived home my kids let the cats out of the carriers and we all were horrified by what we saw.  They completely butchered both my cats and one of my cats has a deep shave indentation on her back.  I called Denise and Terry looking for resolution to how they groomed my cats and they said my cats were moving around.  Well animals do that and any experienced cat groomer knows what their getting into before they begin grooming cats.  I've been having my cats groomed for over 15 years.  Never have I ever seen such poor work and Denise nor Terry took responsibility nor offered a discount until I inquired about.  Denise stated she spent time putting the work in and felt as though she was worthy of payment regardless of how she did.  She even charged me for washing both cats and offered to give back the $15 for not being able to wash one of my cats.  Any business that does not satisfy their customers should readily be willing to rectify the issue.  They did not.  They became very irate and argumentative and bothered that I thought they should give me my money back. I stated to them I could not give them a positive review nor recommend them to anyone else.  Only after I stated anything about my review did they say they would give me back half of what I paid IF I signed a form mentioning I wouldn't discredit or badmouth them.  This is BLACKMAIL.  I called them back and stated that I was not signing a form.  If they care about the nature of their business, their customers and their name.  They will do what's right.  Any good business owner would do that.  They stated their not giving any money back unless I sign a form.  I care too much about other people to only think of myself and sign a form to hide what they did.  I will never take my animals there again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND that others don't either.  Denise and Terry are not in a business because they love animals and want to satisfy their customers.  I sense this business is struggling based on conversation.  I also believe it is due to poor grooming and customer service. Before I hung up Terry tried to blame my male cat for scratching.  Did he not realize my cats were declawed.  Very shady business.  They are only responsive and available due to lack of a strong, loyal customer base.

    Banfield Pet Hospital

The vet that came in first of all was not friendly at all...not sure if she was having a bad day...but a smile and personality would have been a plus.

She said she thought my cat may have a Thyroid problem and that I should have a complete blood work done.  When I asked the price...$315!!!!  I said I would not pay blood work wasn't that much when I got my yearly physical...and that I would look around and see if I could get it cheaper.  She also mentioned my cats ears were dirty...I asked if she could do anything...which she said "no...we would have to get them tested!"

I paid my $40 for the visit, went home and called the Spay and Neuter Clinic in Wexford.  Complete blood work..$125.  For $150 I got the blood work, a rabies shot and his ears cleaned (he had ear testing needed).  No office visit fee.

A shame as big corporations take over vet clinics...they become a rip off.  I will never use Banfield again...a complete Joke!
