    Avalon Tub & Tile
Bob and his team did a great job renovating our bathroom. There were a couple minor snags (as would be expected), but they handled them promptly and professionally. The finished product looks great. Bob (the owner of Avalon) was very responsive and honest. Couldn't be happier overall.

Dave was very professional and prompt with all of his work. He met his deadlines per our discussions and was always willing to discuss any ideas, adjustments, or changes that came up during the construction process. What really stood out for us during the entire process was Dave's attention to detail for the project and how clean he kept the job site through out the process. We would absolutely hire Dave again for other jobs around the house.

Dino called a couple of weeks later to schedule our appointment for the following week. Two workers showed up on time. They were polite, worked quickly and did not make a mess. They fixed the windows and installed the lock set in little over an hours. Overall a great experience. One surprise, the new lock matched our old lock. Same keys! I don't know if Dino arranged that or the mfg but it was nice not to have to go get new keys made.

They had to go into the attic to check the connections.  There were two men.  The fan works perfectly.  The doorbell works the same as the last one.  I have decided that the problem is the wiring.  It only goes ding not d***.  They did all they could do.  I was pleased with the service and will call them again.

    F.D. Strano Sales
The sunroom roof is solid with shingles, and includes two skylights.  The two skylights have always leaked.  During the first year or two after construction, the provider returned on a couple of occasions and added some roofing cement to try and stop the leaks, but then gave up.
Over the years, I have found it necessary to go onto the roof about twice a year to remove the old caulking and re-caulk the skylights. This would hold for a while, but inevitably some sort of movement or contraction would occur and the skylights would leak again. After all these years of attempted maintenance, I finally gave up, and solicited estimates from roofers to replace the roof.
I also solicited this provider to return in October 2015 and give me an estimate to replace ceiling panels and replace the roof to eliminate the skylights. Robert Strano appeared at our house at the appointed time, reviewed the roof and said that he did not need any more information because he still had our old file. He made some suggestions for roof replacement, and stated that he would send an estimate.
I never heard from him again.  After a few weeks, I politely called and inquired into the estimate, and I was told that Bob Strano would get back to me.  Nothing was heard thereafter. I would expect that Mr Strano would at least give me the courtesy to let me know that he had decided against bidding on the job. I wound up waiting quite a while to hear from him, and his inaction made it impossible to get the work done by another contractor before winter. Further, the work from a non Four Seasons franchisee means that the roof panels containing the skylights will not be replaced, but will be covered over from above, and I will need to find a carpenter to fashion some attractive patches for the inner surface of the roof.
A few comments about the original job are worthwhile, beyond the skylight problem. With respect to the original job, it was up to us to size, purchase and install an HVAC unit for the room, to make the room usable in both the peak of summer and the dead of winter. It was up to us to find and install some interior flooring. The installers used oversized insulation below the deck floor, which resulted in the occasional need to work on the underside on the insulation covering, to hold the insulation in place. There are some other details which are not worth mentioning, because nothing will come of it.

    Kollinger Auto Body
MAJOR repairs needed to be made to the entire right side of my car, which was damaged in an accident. I was told it would take about 7 business days, but after disassembling the car, they found more extensive damage. On that 7th day, I received an email informing me of the extra damage, and saying that it would take longer to repair. No estimate of time for the extended job was given. I got my car back 3 weeks later (18 business days). Considering the damage, I was not surprised at the time it took. Plus, I think they were very busy at that time. However, communication regarding the return of my vehicle could have been a little better. I was the one initiating contact. The finish date kept getting pushed back, but George in the shop was great about promptly returning my e-mails. The quality of the work, though, was worth the wait. I cannot tell where the damage was, and the paint job is phenomenal. (I'm a very particular person, too.) George had indicated that quality of work was their highest priority. After driving my car for a week or so, I noticed two very minor items that needed to be adjusted. Kollinger did not hesitate to check them out and fix them quickly. (They were simple tweaks.) Kollinger helped arrange a rental car for me while they had my car, so dropping off and picking up was a breeze. The people there are not warm and fuzzy, but they are polite, professional and helpful. I would absolutely recommend them and go back if I need auto body work. I can't imagine getting better service and quality job than I got here.

Melissa promptly returned all phone calls and emails. She and Bill were on time for each appointment. I appreciated their input and advice in the final selection of window brand and types of doors. I was impressed by their professionalism and knowledge. In every conversation, I felt that they were honest and attentive to my needs and my budget. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive estimate I received, and I was extremely pleased with the work.
The crew installed everything over two days and left my house cleaner than it was when they started. They were friendly, polite and hard-working. I am completely satisfied with my experience; would use them again and would recommend to friends.

    RTO Home Services
I have been working with Bob for a year.  We purchased a townhome and did extensive renovations.  Bob was a integral part of this.  Here are some of the jobs that Bob did:
    • Removed two walls to enlarge areas.
    • Removed and installed toilets
    • Removed and installed tile walls and flooring in bathrooms
    • Removed and installed pedestal sink and faucet
    • Installed bathroom shower glass sliding door
    • Raised two vanities and installed sinks and faucets
    • Installed french doors
    • Installed board and batton
    • Installed baseboards
    • Built an enclosure around refrigerator
    • Installed insulation
    • Installed dropped ceiling
    • Adjusted doors so that they would close

This is not a complete list but gives you an idea of his range of abilities.  Bob is a very talented contractor.  He is extremely easy to work with.  Often I would tell Bob the idea I had and he would make it happen.  If anything had to be changed, he would make those changes and often he would make suggestions.  He does what he says he will do and shows up on time.
    I highly recommend him.

    Mr. Handyman of Northern Pittsburgh
I needed service by the end of the week and was calling on Tuesday, hoping that they could help me.  Person answering the phone said that they had an opening on Wednesday afternoon and could fit me in.  Excellent news.  Wednesday afternoon after 3:00, the service man called and said he was unable to make it that day, that something had come up, but he was able to come on Thursday between 1:00 and 2:00.  When 2:30 rolled around and no one showed, I called and left a message asking when he might be arriving.  No answer.  I called again at 3:30 left another message asking if and when someone might be arriving.  No answer.  No returned call, nothing.  If they were unable to make it fine.  I wouldn't have been happy, but at least I would know and could have at least tried to find someone else.  Not showing and not returning my calls is unacceptable to me.  Original score was an F.

***Updated*****  Mr Handyman called me and apologized for their error.  I rescheduled and they waived the fee for their error.  B.i-fold doors were installed satisfactorily.  I increased their rating to a D, as the initial experience was poor, but they did try to remedy.  I may or may not use again in the future.

    Inch Construction
Took some time to get estimates, finalize details. Jay included a Pella dealer in the measurements and recommendations on window sizes and styles. Then took 2 months before project started, he is a busy contractor and advised us up front that it would take that long. Once the work started, they were there, on time, when they said they would be. They worked efficiently. Answered all of our questions. Very courteous, no issues with our dog who followed them around every day. They cleaned up after themselves every day. They completed the job in just 2 weeks, on time and on budget. There were no surprises. The windows and doors look beautiful. Extremely satisfied with the quality of their work. Several neighbors got their contact information based on their observation of the work being done. Jay and his team are fantastic. Would definitely recommend and use again.
