    Renner Masonry Restoration
After getting my roof replaced in September of 2016, the roofers brought to my attention that one of the chimneys was in need of pointing and after having some leaking around the chimneys over the winter and spring, decided to look around for some places to have them pointed and capped. Jule was the only one of probably 6 people who actually came out but didn't go up on the roof as he said he had hurt his back. He did take my information and said he would send me an estimate. After a few days, I didn't have anything so I gave him a call and he finally did get me an estimate. It was the beginning of September and I said I'd like to do the work which he told me he could try to get done by first week of November. Unfortunately the weather got colder and when November came, I did touch base with him and told him we should wait until spring which I he agreed because the work would just be a waste if done. With the long winter, I ended up calling him in April expecting that I would be first on his list but he said that he wouldn't be able to get to me until the end of June. At this point, I had needed some gutter work done and ended up having some companies came out and one of them mentioned about the chimneys needing work and quoted me a price so I decided to go with them instead. Jule did get back to me in June looking to schedule a date but I had told him I went another direction

    Arts Stone Masonry Co
My husband and I were extremely impressed with Art. He did an excellent job on our fireplace. He is very professional, pays attention to detail, always returned calls or texts, very hard working, I could go on and on. Art even picked up our stone at site for us. Our fireplace is exactly how we wanted it. Beautiful grey stone from floor to ceiling. Its gorgeous! We were so happy to have found Art. We had several estimates and his was the fairest. His work ethic is very difficult to find nowadays. We will recommend him to anybody that needs quality masonry work done by a trustworthy craftsman.

    Paul Turley
I called Paul to see about an estimate on some chimney work. Paul called me back a couple days later and took down my information and said he would try to stop out in a day or two. I never got a call saying when he was coming and found out that he stopped by one day while I was at work and my wife only realized he was there as he was leaving. I had to make a follow up call to him to see if he had in fact stopped out and got a call back with a voice mail a day later with an estimate and what work he would do. After a few days, I called him back with some follow up questions but never heard back and we ended up going with a different company

A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR
After a pretty good storm back in June, I had water in our front "cold cellar" of our basement. I had originally thought it was due to some wood rot on the front porch and after having a few handymen out to look at the porch, a couple mentioned that some of the problem was due to the block foundation as there were a lot of cracks and missing mortar joints. I called A Plus Foundation as they were top of the list for foundation repair and Gary was quick to return my calls. He came out about a week later just due to being busy in my schedule. After having another company come out who said they didn't do that work, I was happy with Gary's estimate and set up a date for the work. Due to rain on the day they were scheduled to come out as well as schedule between us, it ended up being pushed back a week and a half but the crew of two (Nick and Cory, I believe their names were) arrived a bit earlier but got right to work. They started by pressure washing to remove any loose mortar. There were a lot of spots that needed work as years of weathering had taken it's toll on the block and I had a large chunk of concrete that had broken off. They took care of everything and ground out several spots and sealed things up. It made the block and areas around it look nearly brand new. I have additional work to repair some big cracks in the concrete slab that I will be having Gary come out in the near future to take a look at. In the end, the estimate Gary gave me ended up being the final cost which is always great Only issue I had was just a little bit of communication when the job had to be rescheduled as it took a few calls with a few days in between before I got a call back before we could get set up with a new date, other than that, it went smoothly

    Renner Masonry Restoration
It went very well. While it took Jule a couple weeks to call me back after my initial cold call to him (I left a message), he did at least call (unlike some other contractors I've attempted to use in the past). He seemed a bit crunched for time in the summer months, so not everything was done punctually, but he did show up the days he said he would show up and he and his brother actually finished the job early as well. Additionally, Jule is honest and forthright - he quoted us including the cost of renting a machine, then when he discovered he wouldn't be using the machine after all, he requoted us minus the rental cost for it. So in recap, he may not be the contractor for you if you want someone 100% punctual who responds immediately. However, I would never turn down Jule's work, as he is knowledgeable, dependable, honest, and does good quality work at a great price. We would certainly use Renner Masonry Restoration again and have already recommended Jule and his brother to others.

    BAUTISTA MASONRY CORP.
I contacted Bautista for an estimate. They responded quickly and made an appointment, for which he was right on time. The estimate was reasonable and they seemed professional and responsive. But we decided we'd prefer to have the cement stairs changed to wood, rather than replacing with cement. So, we didnt use a masonry company.

Allegheny Brick Pointing & Masonry Services
I appreciated the timeliness of the owner in communications, the straight forward discussion of what needed to be done and the abilities of the crew. I liked the way the owner described how the work would be done and the materials used. When Mike North's company was done, you couldn't see where the repair work had been done - the mortar color was matched exactly. My brother-in-law is a contractor and pointed out to me that the masonry work was the most necessary for repairing the house. He returned after the work was done and announced that the work had been done by an artist. He was truly impressed! I felt that I got a great job for the price too. I have worked with many contractors. I was delighted with a company that showed up on time every day and completed the job on time. It was an excellent experience. I highly recommend them.

    FISHER MASONRY CONTRACTING INC
Ron gave me the best quote for removing a badly disintegrating chimney and rebuilding it, along with replacing other bricks further down on the chimney (previous homeowners had allowed vines to grow all over the side of the house, and they destroyed the brick).  The brick was a special order "Buff Darlington" and took a little while to be delivered, but as soon as it was in, Ron and his team were on the job.   His crew did a great job, the work was completed in two days, and they left the work site pristine.  I am very, very pleased with the appearance of the rebuilt chimney, the overall workmanship, and the trustworthiness of this contractor.

    Sabol Masonry Inc.
It went great from the estimate until it was done! I got a few estimates and out of the few, Paul was the only one who actually climbed up there and told me truly what was wrong and was able to give me the most accurate estimate. When we decided to schedule them, Linda let us know they were 3 weeks out and she worked with us to let her know any days they may need to stay away from. She called me on a Friday, at almost exactly 3 weeks (I think a little less) and they were here Monday morning for the job. Paul and his crew were very polite and pleasant to work with! My fianc? stayed home to see the work done and be agreed that it was an extremely pleasant experience. Paul and his crew always let us know what they were doing and were prompt to come to us if there was a question. They moved my patio furniture for me so they could setup the scaffolding and put it back when they were done. They also kept everything very clean! What was supposed to be a 3 day job, only ended up being two days, and besides the beautiful chimney and parging, you would have never known there was scaffolding and bricks, etc in my yard! Very clean! He was very thorough in his work and explaining everything. Now we have a fantastic new chimney! (He even checked the chimney from the basement)
