    Three Rivers Roofing has been the only roofer in the city who has been able to help us! We have a stone home that was built in 1934. Before we purchased the home a "new roof" was put on the house. Everything about the roof was done wrong! We have had water getting in our home in many different spots, the worst of which was around our stone chimney. After having the roof repaired by 3-4 other roofers, unsuccessfully, Three Rivers Roofing was the only company that could diagnose and solve our problem. Three Rivers Roofing is also the only company that I have found to guarantee their work. For example, if they fix a problem and you still have water they will come back and make sure that it's done right. We referred them to a neighbor for another problem that no other roofer could figure out and they were able to fix it. Al from Three Rivers has even come out on a Saturday to fix something for us. I wouldn't trust anyone else with any roof issues! My husband and I are grateful we finally found a roofer we can trust.

    They installed custom-molded (on site) continuous gutters on our outbuilding. They added a new downspout on one corner, sloping the gutters to drain with the new downspout, which solved a gutter spill-over problem we'd been having. That was two-and-a-half years ago; the new gutters have been great ever since.

    After a bad winter with some issues with ice dams, decided we needed to get some gutter work and new downspouts and also had a chimney contractor no show so had to find another to do the work. Called a few places and had quotes from Old Dad Shook and another place. Old Dad Shook looked to have the better price and seemed to have better reviews so went with them. I had a busy summer so planned the work for fall and had gotten a call in June to start the work but let them know it could wait and I gave them a call in August and they were able to come out a couple weeks later to do the work. The day came and the first day, they worked on chimney pointing and capping the chimneys as well as painting and patching the box gutters. It was a pretty hot day so they spread the work over two days and the second day they took off the old downspouts and put on new downspouts. They did a nice job of attaching everything and setting them up. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the elbow on one of the downspouts on the ground that took some time to get taken care of and also had some leaking still around the chimney with a heavy rain that they came out and took a look at and sealed up the best they could

    I called Kenyon to get an estimate on some repair of my box gutters which needed re-sealed, and repainted, replacement of downspouts as several had cracked at the seams or were dinged and dented in several spaces and repointing and having the chimneys capped. They took down my information and said someone would come out. A day later, I was at home working and heard some talking outside and found out it was them coming over but wasn't aware they were coming as I didn't get a call or anything. He was very thorough taking a lot of pictures and measurements and we talked for a little while. About a week later, I got the estimate in the mail and after having a couple other places come for estimates as well, I ended up going with one other place

Putting on a new roof is a messy job, but his guys cleaned up our property to a state that was cleaner than before they started.     Tony was great! We reached out to him to have our roof checked out along with our gutters and he let us know that he is a few weeks out. However, he was able to stop by much earlier than we had expected, which we are so thankful for! He took a look at our roof and gave us his opinion (we will get work done later) and then took a look at our gutters which he confirmed definitely needed a cleaning! He ended up coming back the next day before this weeks rain and clean out our gutters (much needed!!) and he even repaired a few nails that had popped up on our shingles. He answered all of our questions and was very honest. We will definitely have him out next year again!

    I've been putting off writing this review for a long time because I've been really uncertain of what to say exactly. My interaction with Suburban started off so well that it's been hard to believe it ended so poorly. We contracted with Suburban to have the roof on our house and the flat roof on our garage replaced. Because the box gutters and capping weren't looking great, I also requested that those be realigned, secured, and/or replaced where needed.
    Suburban's Don Poehlig came out to give me the estimate, and it seemed like he was very thorough. He also wasn't pushy, which I appreciated. We agreed that the work would start sometime around May of 2012. As agreed upon, the workers showed up around that time and did the main roof tear-off, the replacement, and even installed a solar air vent that I had requested. They also did the work on the flat garage roof. The workers were friendly and did a pretty good job of picking up after themselves.  I was suitably impressed by their professionalism at this point.  When Don came to pick up the check, I asked if they were going to take care of the box gutter/capping work. Don realized that had been forgotten. Since most of the work had been done and what was left was fairly insignificant, I offered to still pay them even with the remaining items outstanding. Don thanked me and assured me someone would be out in the next week or so. In retrospect, that was a big mistake.
    Two weeks later, I called to see when someone was going to come out. We played voicemail tag for several weeks, it seemed, and finally got a date for someone to come. We arrived home that evening to find the work still undone. I waited a couple more days to see if perhaps we'd just gotten bumped back a day or two due to weather or something before resuming phone tag. I
    finally connected with Don after more phone tag, and he informed me that there had been a bees' nest inside the gutters that prevented them from finishing the work. I completely understand that being a legitimate reason to not finish the work, but I wish they had called to let me know rather than waiting for me to hunt them down. Don offered to have someone come out in the fall to finish the work after the bees were dormant.
    Fall arrived, and I (unwisely) waited to see if Suburban would pre-emptively finish the work. In November, I called them to ask if they would complete the work. Don came out to see what work I was referring to. As I showed him the box gutter and capping work, he told me that they were just ?doing me a favor? by taking care of that work. I pointed out that that work was actually covered in our contract (see photo: ?Installation at the discretion of the Suburban Home Improvement installer. Reseal box gutters, renail capping along top of box gutters and add material (capping) if needed.?)
    In addition, since the time Suburban had finished the work, we had observed water damage on a bedroom wall reappearing where we had major issues previously. I had showed Don this water damage when he came to give me the original quote and had been reassured by him that a new roof and flashing would take care of the problem. While Don was out, we showed him that the water damage was reappearing. He told us that the damage on the bedroom wall was happening because we needed to get our chimney capped. That wasn't what we were hoping to hear because that particular water issue was 95% of the reason we'd decided to have the roof redone. Also, since replacing the roof, we had already gutted the wall and replastered and repainted over the damaged area (which was now showing water damage again). [On a side note, we asked the chimney cap contractor to look over the flashing job Suburban had done, and he needed to fix some of it.]
    Within a week, someone came out to our house and finished the capping. But, when I say ?finished the capping,? essentially, it looks like they put a piece of capping where it belonged and threw a single nail in it to hold it on.  Nothing was realigned or secured otherwise.
    So, at the end of the day, this is what we have to show for our work with Suburban:
    The Good:
    - a replacement roof, the shingles of which look nice and have stayed intact
    - a solar vent correctly installed on the roof
    - a garage roof that (we think) has actually stopped leaking entirely
    The Bad:
    - box gutters and capping that looked as bad as they did before the work started and now look even worse because the wind has torn off a huge amount of box gutter/soffit/fascia/capping because it wasn't realigned and secured like we requested (see pictures)
    - a chimney cap for $700 put on by a different contractor that we are hoping has finally taken care of the water problem in the bedroom
    - a wall in said bedroom that once again needs to be fixed and repainted
    - a $12,500 dip in our bank account for what we paid to Suburban + the amounts we've paid for the chimney cap, the fixing of the bedroom wall a second time, and someone to do some serious work on our box gutters/soffit/fascia/capping
    - hours of phone calls, hand wringing, regrets, and trying to figure out what the next course of action was each time something else cropped up
    In retrospect, it seems that we could've waited to replace the main house roof. The most significant problem appears to have been solvable with a $700 chimney cap. Go figure. We had another contractor bid on the roof work before we selected Suburban. He was more expensive and his quote process/communication was a little disorganized, but in retrospect, we wish we had gone with him. Perhaps these are just the woes of old houses that contractors can't anticipate, but we feel like any contractor whose house looked like ours does after a roofing job was completed would be hopping mad.
    Why am I finally writing this review now?  The box gutters/soffit/fascia/capping all coming down over the past couple months has been the straw that broke the camel's back.  We've tried to make excuses for Suburban to ourselves for the past couple years, but with our house now looking worse than it did before we had it roofed, we just couldn't excuse them in our heads anymore.  Correction - I couldn't excuse them anymore.  My husband has been trying to get me to review them since 2012, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  But, here we are.  Suburban was such a promising contractor - A rated on Angie's List and everything on the front end going so well.  But, the back-end has been devastatingly disastrous.

    Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet��

    I called Harry Helmet to schedule an in home appointment after seeing them at numerous shows.  I would have preferred to just have someone give me an estimate without having to schedule an afternoon in my home with a sale representative.  On May 16, 2014, Tim O?Brien arrived on time with all of his presentation materials.  He showed me a couple of different leaf protect systems and provided me with estimates for my entire house (approx. 51 ft.) and also only the second story back gutters.  He included all coupons and discounts.  He was a typical sales representative, but he wasn't overly "high presser sales".  He explained that service under $1000 would not be eligible for financing.  I completed a financing (Wells Fargo credit card) application.  I scheduled a tentative day to have the work completed, pending the approval of my credit application.

    I received my new Wells Fargo credit card in the mail within a few days.  However, Harry Helmet did NOT call me to tell me I was approved or to confirm my appointment.  On June 2, 2014, I called them to confirm my appointment for June 13, 2014.  The first female that I spoke to seemed confused by my call and my exact scheduled service date.  I had requested a specific date when I knew I would be home.  There is even a spot on the application with the option that ?Customer to Be Present During Installation?.  She transferred me to another female (Dotty) that was able to confirm my installation date.  However, when I asked her about the specific window of time, she seemed UNWILLING to commit to a time frame.  She indicated that it depending on what other work was scheduled that day, materials needed, and traffic.  When I questioned it, she finally agreed to put me on the scheduled for first thing that morning.  However, she was still reluctant to give me a specific time due to possible ?traffic?. 

    Harry Helmet called me the day before to remind me of my appointment.  In the message, they stated that if I was not home they would complete the service and leave paperwork on my door.  I called them back to confirm that they would NOT do the work if I was not there.  They reassured me that they knew that.

    On June 13, 2014, one installer (Larry) arrived at my home at 9:00am.  He made sure I was home and then started working.  I?m glad I was home since he was working by himself.  He noted that his partner had recently quit.  He completed the installation in approximately two hours. As part of the service all of my gutters were to be cleaned and realigned.  He left me with additional information on how to care for my new Gutter Helmet.

    I few days later I notice that a piece of a plastic Christmas light hook was still in one of my front gutters and a piece of Gutter Helmet flashing was sticking out. On June 23, 2014, I called Harry Helmet regarding the issues.  Dotty stated that they would send someone out to fix the issues and that they would leave a note in my door when it was fixed.  I did not like the idea of them showing up whenever to fix their work, but I agreed.

    On August 8, 2014, they finally corrected the issues.  Mike left a left a door hanger note.

    The Gutter Helmets seem to be functioning properly.
