    DJM Construction
Dave did an excellent job. He removed the old paneling and hauled it out. Installed 16 sheets of drywall, taped all seams and applied compound to the seams and all screw holes. Sanded everything and did a great job of blending the walls to the existing ceiling. He also cut and fitted casing for two doors in the room. Dave did all of the work himself, sometimes working 10 hour days, so that he was sure everything was done right. Dave was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have remodeling work done.

    Rick Birkholz Remodeling & Repair

Rick was faced with finishing the remodel of the basement that another contractor started and never finished.  Unlike my experiences with other contractors he was there every day and on time.  He was always courteous and pleasant. He did excellent work. I had the pleasant experience of having a friend who also did similar work compliment Rick's work. The contract  detailed the scope of the remodel and any extras were noted and agreed on. Any extras that came up during the remodel were discussed and agreed upon before he continued.  And to top it off the work area was swept and cleaned up every day.

    Traeger Plastering
It couldn't have gone better. The area was small, so we had a tough time getting a contractor who was willing to do a smaller job for a reasonable price. Tony was upfront and said that if we were willing to wait a few weeks, he could pair our job with something else in our area and keep the price down. He stayed in touch for a few weeks until he had another job lined up. Tony and his crew arrived on time and as scheduled. He had the work done quickly and exactly as described. They took care to tarp off the area and cleaned up as they left. I would definitely use Traeger Plastering again.

    McClelland Home Maintenance
Mike was always on time and cleaned up when done each day. He fixed the ceiling in the garage due to a pike break and it looks great. The tile in the entry turned out beautiful.  I would hire Mike again.

    North Shore Kitchen Design Center
We evaluated several vendors and designs for our new kitchen before selecting North Shore.  Jim English and Sara Doliboa provided the most innovative design which made the best use of the space.  The idea was to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room and open up the space.  The result is great.  We have so much more usable space and the kitchen, which had been cramped, is now open and roomy.  In addition we have access to and use of the dining room that we hadn't previously enjoyed.
The work was performed by Larry Wetmiller as a subcontractor to North Shore.  Larry is a skilled craftsman who takes his work very seriously.  Larry's crew was great.  They always arrived on time and always left the job site clean.  The work took 9 weeks to complete, but progress was steady and continuous.  That included some downtime waiting for the quartz countertops to arrive.  Larry took care to use plastic curtains in the work area during the de-construction phase so as to minimize dust and dirt.  They quality of the final product is exceptional.  They installed a new tile floor, cabinets and ceiling.  We couldn't be happier.
We would recommend Jim, Sara and Larry at North Shore Kitchens to anyone looking to do a complete renovation.

    Hutton Painting & Remodeling
I got the "I really don't want the job, but maybe they're stupid enough to accept THIS price", price. Or, perhaps it was the "I know they have build out money, let's see if I can extract it all from them", price. Definitely don't appreciate that! My time is way too valuable.

Robert and his crew did a fabulous job, and I will definitely hire him again.  The first drywall firm, prior to contacting Robert, gave me a quote $1,100 more than what Robert gave.  I also got the impression from the first firm that the job was very extensive, and they would have some trouble fitting the work in.  When I had Robert visit, he said simply, "No problem, my guys will knock this out in three to four days, and it will look brand new."   He was certainly right.  Robert and his crew went above and beyond.  For example, I had cut a rectangular hole the length of the kitchen on the kitchen's ceiling.   Please note that the kitchen ceiling was in somewhat poor condition.  Robert not only fixed the hole but he gave me a new kitchen ceiling with a beautiful swirl, as he did with the living room and dining room.  Every room turned out beautifully.  Robert is a true expert and professional with great skill.  Robert will be my go-to drywall/plastering contractor.  He really got me out of a jam, and I am overwhelmed by the fantastic results.

    J.G.E. Construction Co.
Justin (and Tim) needed to start late due to another job running overtime.  They did their best to make up for lost time, but ran into some trouble with the demolition.  It was much more time intensive than was anticipated.  They arrived each morning, ready to work and kept the mess to a minimum.  They cleaned up each day before they left.
We discovered an issue with repositioning the toilet.  There would have been too much space between the back of the toilet and the wall.  Justin and I looked on line until I found something I liked, and Justin constructed a great shelf that matches the decor and makes up for the excess space.
I worked with Lola, whom Justin recommended, to purchase all of the replacement pieces; for instance the toilet, sink, tub, fixtures, etc.  She was absolutely wonderful, finding me great prices through her suppliers.  She also found the PERFECT bathtub for us.
Quite frankly, while the project took longer than expected, Justin's work has "spoiled" us for bathrooms.  There is NO OTHER bathroom that will satisfy me!  I love my new bathroom, and I LOVE my new tub.
I'm so glad that we went with Justin, after having 5 other estimates.  He talked with me, explained everything he would do and everything he did every step of the way.  When we ran into the issue with the placement of the toilet, Justin's comment was reassuring, "No problems, just solutions."  He and Tim were able to make some suggestions that added to the aesthetics and we couldn't be happier with the end product.
I've already recommended him to friends.  Good guy and an honest hard worker!

It went very well.  They were professional, kept me informed during the process and cleaned up afterward.  Almost everything was moved into the dining room.  What wasn't moved was covered with plastic.  A large sheet of plastic was taped to the doorway between the living room and dining room to contain dust & debris.  The only item to be added that day was the cost of insulation.  The cost was minor and installation didn't affect the timeline of the project.  It took a little less than 1 workday and looks wonderful.
