    Advanced Basement Solutions
Prior to moving into our house about 10 years ago, the previous owners had used Advanced Basement Solutions to have an internal french drain, sump pump and vapor barrier installed. As it had been about 10 years which is the average life of a sump pump, we decided it was time to have things checked out. Called and lady who answered was very polite, she actually got my information so the lifetime warranty could be transferred over to us and then said we could schedule a "Healthy Basement Check" and said what all that entailed. She said she would have to check scheduling and get back to me. I got a call back the next day and scheduled it for the following week and gave me a 2 hour window of when they would be out. On the day of the appointment, Chris showed up promptly and I showed him downstairs, he looked everything over and we worked to run a test on the pump which had no issues. He did recommend a high water sensor which said I could pick up myself and did recommend a dehumidifier as we did have a bit higher humidity. He answered all of our questions and we even walked around outside as he saw a couple spot inside with a little dampness and gave us some tips and things to keep an eye on. Best part is I was educated on how the pump works and what to do in the event of an issue and had peace of mind knowing that when it does go, the first pump replacement was covered so the money I spent for the checkup was worth it

A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR
After a pretty good storm back in June, I had water in our front "cold cellar" of our basement. I had originally thought it was due to some wood rot on the front porch and after having a few handymen out to look at the porch, a couple mentioned that some of the problem was due to the block foundation as there were a lot of cracks and missing mortar joints. I called A Plus Foundation as they were top of the list for foundation repair and Gary was quick to return my calls. He came out about a week later just due to being busy in my schedule. After having another company come out who said they didn't do that work, I was happy with Gary's estimate and set up a date for the work. Due to rain on the day they were scheduled to come out as well as schedule between us, it ended up being pushed back a week and a half but the crew of two (Nick and Cory, I believe their names were) arrived a bit earlier but got right to work. They started by pressure washing to remove any loose mortar. There were a lot of spots that needed work as years of weathering had taken it's toll on the block and I had a large chunk of concrete that had broken off. They took care of everything and ground out several spots and sealed things up. It made the block and areas around it look nearly brand new. I have additional work to repair some big cracks in the concrete slab that I will be having Gary come out in the near future to take a look at. In the end, the estimate Gary gave me ended up being the final cost which is always great Only issue I had was just a little bit of communication when the job had to be rescheduled as it took a few calls with a few days in between before I got a call back before we could get set up with a new date, other than that, it went smoothly

    Do It Best Waterproofing
Do it best is a very reliable company. I was able to get in touch with them right away! I did ask around first and I received nothing but good reviews.  The owner is very professional and polite. His co workers were all polite, clean and courteous as well. I had no problem scheduling an appointment and the work was exactly what I was quoted! I felt comfortable having them in my home. They were extremely nice. One of the main things I had liked, the owner also did a lot of the work himself. This proved to me that he was professional enough to care that the work was done right! I have not had any issues since the work was done. I have and will recommend them to anyone! Give them a call , I'm confident enough to say that your experience will be a great one !

    Champion Waterproofing Inc
I would not recommend this company to anyone based off my experience. The salesman gave me the wrong date, said they would start Thursday and they called Wednesday to say they were on their way. When they came in to put the sump pumps in, they claimed they do not actually wipe down the mold they simply spray it to kill it off. The salesman did not pitch it this way to begin with, I called the office to inform them of what I was advised and they reluctantly agreed to wipe down the walls.

They used one of my hurricane mops to clean the mold and did not bother cleaning off the mop afterwards so that is ruined. They did not put any of the shelving back into my cedar closet which I am unable to do myself so I will have to wait for a relative to help with that. There is some slight damage to the wall right above my square glass window that was not there before the job. The floor did not sweep up very well when they left, and as of course I no longer had my mop, I had to get on my hands and knees to wipe down the floors myself. It took me almost five hours to clean up the mess they left on the floors and walls.

I do feel for the technicians that were sent out as they were actually digging holes for the downspouts by hand, it seems the company is not very well equipped for their trade and did not have any back hoes to supply. The manager I spoke with over the phone multiple times did not offer to alleviate any issues whenever I spoke to her, they have pretty poor customer service as well.

A+ PLUS CONCRETE & FOUNDATION REPAIR
He took his time with us and showed us several corrections that need to be made, even though his company doesn't handle the types of repairs we need.  He was very professional, polite, and we were not charged for the consultation.  I would definitely recommend this company.

Keystone Basement Systems & Structural Repair Inc
The Problem: Since moving into our home we've had streams and puddles of water filling our garage and basement every time it rained. This area became completely useless as anything down there would corrode or be ruined by chronic dampness.  Our dehumidifier would fill within 10-12 hours of running and was using a ton of electricity. We called Keystones Basements after about 2 years of dealing with this problem and scheduled an appointment.
The Inspection and Sales Process: The salesman who sold us the job was very patient, friendly, incredibly punctual, and very well informed. He walked through our basement and had me explain where the problem areas were.   His inspection was thorough, not only looking at the obvious trouble spots but also checking for other potential issues with regards to foundation, and overall structure (fortunately he said the foundation was in good shape and the walls showed no signs of bowing or deterioration)!  After the inspection both inside and out, he outlined his plan for solving the basement water problem with both photos and an in depth explanation which involved the installation of interior french drain along the entire rear and left perimeter of my basement and sump pump.  His price was adjusted when we agreed to use an "on call" crew that typically works in commercial facilities.  If a commercial contract was delayed they would call and schedule a more "last minute" appointment (we were given a weeks notice which was more than enough time to prepare).  Unfortunately because of this adjustment I was unable to use my Angies List coupon ($250 for $500 off basement waterproofing services). We were somewhat disappointment but  understand.  In addition to a great salesman, the lifetime warranty the 18 months financing, the regular inspections, and the attentiveness of the owner to his business, is what sold us on Keystone.
The Install: Keystone's crew arrived at around 10:30am after mistakenly going to the same address in a different town about 45 minutes away. This has happened before with another service provider so it didn't upset me. It is not the fault of contractor, it apparently just depends what GPS is being used to navigate. Upon arrival the foreman introduced me to his team who quickly got to work. They were very thorough in masking off parts of the room not under construction resulting in a VERY clean install. I can't stress this enough... there was no dust anywhere!!!  It was all completely contained!   I left about 3 hours into their work which at that time the floor had already been dug up for the most part and my father came over to make sure the crew had access to anything they needed (power, water, etc).   I got a phone call at about 4:00pm to tell me the project was done!  I came home after work to find concrete had been poured in the area where the drain was installed and was finished beautifully. Sump pump was installed and battery backup was sitting neatly in the back corner of the garage. The power for the battery is running up the wall and over to the ceiling outlet (garage door opener outlet) which is a bit troublesome but this is a circumstance that isn't their issue. I'll have an outlet installed closer to the battery in the coming months to fix this.   The guys vacuumed up all residual dust and debris. Its almost like they weren't even there!  In all very very happy with install process.
Quality/Effectiveness of Interior French Drain and Sump Pump Install (UPDATE): Just had the 1st big rainfall since installation and our basement is bone dry!  Awesome!

We made an appoint with Frank to inspect the leakage problem we had in our storage area under the front porch. He said the problem was definitely coming in from the ground level water, however he tested out our interior pump to be on the safe side. He recommended that a new drainage pipe be installed lower than the one that had been installed when the pump was put in (by a different company). Although he cautioned that some of our shrubs may need to be removed, the workers were able to complete the project without any disturbance to the plantings or our paver siderwalk. The 2-man crew arrived exactly as scheduled and completed the job in less than 8 hours. We appreciate Frank's promptness in arriving for his appointment with us, as well as answering our questions completely and understandably. The crew was efficient and left the area in pristine condition.

He then spent the next 15 minutes advising me personally on my situation, testing my interest and commitment to bank roll what could be costly fixes - but really just giving me some insight into my problems. His advice - a DIY solution. He made me feel less worried about it and gave me more confidence to continue taking care of the issue on my own.  I will absolutely call him next time I need service.

After many years of trying to solve our water problems ourselves we decided to take the plunge!  My husband and I sat at the dining room table many times with waterproofing companies and our final decision was after we spoke with Tom Gallagher of Aqua Guard.  Mr. Gallagher was extremely professional and knowledgeable.
The crew arrived as scheduled and the work completed earlier than expected.  We couldn't be happier - now we are prepared for the rainy/snow season.
Hats off also to the office staff at Aqua Guard-from the Office Manager, Paula right  down to the demo workers thumbs up all the way!

    Baker's Waterproofing
My foundation had a crack and they said they could fix it and stop the movement.  They rescheduled the start date multiple times, then spent a few hours doing the job.  The piers were not installed like they said they would install them, and the piers did not fix the problem.  I asked them to repair them, but they would not even come look at them.
