West Chester Veterinarians Reviews

"I called to make an appointment for our dog and explained that he would be a new patient. I was asked if he is already a patient at another vet in the area. When I said yes, I was told that they are not accepting any new patients from other vets in the area because they are too busy.

I was very disappointed because I had heard wonderful things about this vet. I cannot comment on anything other than my brief phone experience and the fact that they are not accepting new patients unless you are new to the area."

"They are one of the few animal clinics that provide medical boarding. Since they also provide emergency services, there is medical staff on premises 24 hrs./day. They very kindly gave me a tour of the facility and when I checked in, they let me go back with my cat to make sure he was settled in comfortably. I thought pricing was reasonable for the services provided. Everyone was helpful and friendly."

"As anyone with cats knows, a trip to the vet is very stressful and the patient isn't always cooperative. Dr.

and her technician treated her with kindness and lots of patience once we got her out of the carrier. They were able to complete the blood collection easily and quickly. The urine sample was performed in another room. There was nothing hurried about the visit; Dr.

took the time to answer all of my questions. She did call the next day, as expected, and again took the time to answer all of my questions about the diagnosis.

"I like the lady vet they have working here. She really knows her stuff. I feel like I get a pretty good price for the work they do. I personally think all vets overcharge. Maybe they could offer some kind of deals or something and that would make me pretty happy. I am pleased with how my dog is treated here and that is why I keep going back. I Think they're a great facility that is also very clean."

"The vets and staff are very pleasant. We never have to wait more than a few minutes, and rarely in the company of other animals. They remember the animals each time we go, remarking on growth, etc. Their hours are very convenient."

"New to the area and called because I had heard good reviews of Dr.
West Chester Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. Receptionist said they are only taking pets who had never been to any vet in the area. Since my dog had received her annual shots from another vet they wouldn't take us. It seems that a business should be taking new clients or not...not making rules of who can and can't be accepted. don't waste your time.

"We are new to the area and needed a vet because our senior dog was experiencing diarrhea. They were able to get me in the next day, I called after 5pm. From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew I was in an office that loved animals. They treated him like a king. They did everything they could to calm his nerves at being at a new vet. I loved the homey atmosphere of the office. They really took their time with

"In April 2006, our four and a half year old Golden (Holly) lost her appetite and about 20 pounds before we took her to our local vet. Following an XRay session, she was diagnosed with anaplastic sarcoma, cancer of the spleen and given less than 30 days to live.
A week later, we bumped into neighbor at a social event who was having his Golden treated by Dr Jeglum and spoke very highly of her. Another neighbor also recommended we use either Dr Jeglum or the animal clinic in Red Bank NJ. Three days later we visited the

Clinic with Holly and the radiologist's report in tow. Following a thorough examination, we were advised by Dr J that Holly's spleen was about to bleed out and she should be left overnight for emergency surgery - an action plan to deal with the various cancers would be developed follwing a successful spleenectomy.
The surgeon confirmed that Holly was riddled with cancer beyond the spleen situation. Over the course of the next six - nine months Holly was also diagnosed with lymphoma and a related brain

. Dr J and her team prescribed four different protocols (dealing with each different cancer) over the nine months.
It was NOT an inexpensive process but we gladly paid for the prospect of extending our time with our young Holly even if would only buy us another two years or so.
Today (October 1 2012), Holly is fighting the battle with the normal arthritis that often affects large dogs, but she is in her fifth year of remission and looking forward to her 11th birthday in November. We remain profoundly grateful for the competent care that Dr J and her team provided in extending our time with our "puppy"!
