    Stoney Ridge Home Improvements LLC
This company does excellent work. They arrive when they say they will,do excellent work and clean-up everyday at the end of the workday. There was some hidden problems with the original construction and Jake Esh , the supervisor, offered some excellent solutions to solve the problems. The bid for the work done was also better than any other I received. I would highly recommend this company.

    Stoney Ridge Home Improvements LLC
Jake and his crew did an absolutely beautiful job on our new deck. Being new to the area, we weren't sure who to hire or what level of craftsmanship to expect. We are so glad that we chose Stoney Ridge! We are incredibly impressed with the quality, attention to detail and design o our deck. They were consummate professionals in how they managed the project, including communication. We were kept informed every step of the way regarding the township permit process. We had other work happening on our property and even the other workers commented on the quality of Jake's work. We recommend them enthusiastically! You will be pleased!

    Colorful Remedies LLC
The work performed by Colorful Remedies met and exceeded my expectations. Not only did they complete the work as quoted, the employees did some minor repairs to the deck and did not charge me any extra. I would recommend Colorful Remedies to anyone that needed professional painting or deck work done!

    Tetlow Builders LLC
I chose Tetlow Builders from a group of three contractors that bid on the job. My selection was based on a strong recommendation from a trusted contractor friend. The project started in the spring of 2019. Harry was the lead carpenter who worked in the project from start to finish. Although working with a fairly comprehensive set of plans, some items lacked detail. Whenever that happened, Dave Tetlow and Harry would discuss possible options with me to arrive at the best solution. None of these issues generated a change order. Dave was always accessible and responded quickly to any item that needed resolution. The interior drywall work is excellent. After the room was painted, no taped joints were visible. Dave's subcontractors also performed in a similar manner. Edwin Ivy from Ivy Roofing installed the waterproof membrane under the 2nd floor deck. He was alway diligent in seeing that the details were done right so that no water leaked into the sunroom. Bill Tryon from Tryco Electric is one of the most conscientious electricians. His attention to detail is unsurpassed. After spending 35 years in building construction I recognize Tetlow Builders' quality and work ethic and they have my highest recommendation

    Brian Hunter Decks
We needed our old deck to be demolished and re-done with the addition of steps. The end result turned out great with the design of wood with matte black details in hardware & rails. There were some issues in some areas that were discussed and easily resolved. Overall we are happy with how it turned out and in time for summer.

    Best Home Improvement
Not well. I contacted Angieslist for the above project on or around 4/28. Angieslist provided me with a number of contractors, one of whom was Best Home Improvements. I was contacted by Gary Cooper on 5/2 and he set up a representative from his company to come out on 5/6 to look at my project. He showed up as promised and took measurements and discussed some different items. The rep said it would take about a week to work up an estimate and get back to me. I did not hear anything else until I received a voicemail from Gary Cooper on 5/16 saying he had received a call from me. I returned his call and mentioned that I had not called but was glad to hear from him and asked the status of my project and about the estimate. I was told that there had been a problem, and the rep who came out was no longer with the company, but he would look into it and get back to me the following week. I again heard nothing the following week and sent an e-mail on 5/28 asking what the status was. I received a e-mail on the same day from Gary Cooper telling me that he apologized about the mix up and he would get back to me by morning. It is now 6/6 and I have still not heard anything. This company had excellent reviews, and I do not understand why I got almost no communication from them unless I inquired about it. If they were not interested in my project, they should just say so. My suggestion to others who are looking for help with their projects: proceed with caution because you may be wasting your time. This company may do quality work at a reasonable price, but if they do not communicate with you, none of that matters.

    Wenger Contracting, Inc
We have hired Todd/Wegner Contracting to complete a number of projects in our 100+ year old home. Todd and his crew have done an excellent job replacing the original windows, fixing/replacing portions of a rotting porch, adding new wiring, and completely gutting and redoing a bedroom. The bedroom required a lot of work: removing the original trim, removing plaster and lathe, adding insulation, new wiring throughout the room, installing drywall, and then installing the original trim. We were thoroughly impressed with that job and the others, and feel like all of the work was a well spent investment on our home.

    DeckPro Powerwash Co
They were a little slow getting here after the down payment was made. It was probably because of the lousy weather but there was no communication explaining the reason for the delay. Once they got here, they did a superb job. Even paint, no gaps or spills. My 24 year old deck looks new

Facts: 1. He said June, it was September. He said, "There was a lot of rain", but he didn't know that in the summer, he went to give a bid on my boyfriend's porch. So yes, there was rain, but he was also busy selling. He said, "I didn't bug him" which was true, but it would have been nice to have a call! Eventually I did bug him. 2. He said pressure treated wood, but ended up using NON pressure treated wood, without telling me. The only way I found out was that he was going to have his fianc paint my porch soon, but my brother mentioned that pressure treated wood had to breathe before being painted. When I e-mailed Gary about this, he wrote: Gary Cooper Sep 14 to me The step are....the porch floor is not....they don't make a pressure treated tongue and groove board for the porch.. Interesting... My boyfriend found pressure treated tongue and groove board for his porch at the first lumber yard he visited - Peter Lumber in Kennett Square. When I e-mailed Gary back to ask why he didn't tell me that he wasn't using pressure treated wood on the floor, he did not reply. 3. Fact (although he will deny it), I said on the phone, after we agreed that the porch floor would be wood, that I wanted the entire stairs, railings and posts to be Aeratis, because they were not underneath the porch roof. Gary called this a "mis-communication" (again, I should have gotten a contract). At least he used pressure treated wood for the stairs, but he said I said all of the posts should remain wood. This is a twisting of our conversation about the fact that I wanted the large posts holding Victorian decorative trim at the top to remain. He did add posts in Aeratis where required by code, so why not put in new posts WHERE THEY ARE ROTTING and where I asked for them? 4. He told me to "Spackle and paint" where this wood is rotting on the post at the bottom of the stairs (I hope to attach a photo, but am not good with technology!). I may not know much about construction, but even I know that post needs more than spackle and paint. 5. Gary said he would return and put round finials where he promised them on my porch. He said he would do it "in a few weeks". That was over 6 weeks ago. I have not seen him since. 6. He said his fianc would paint the porch for $600. I painted it myself, right away, as it was not pressure treated wood. But since the steps ARE pressure treated, I'm waiting... although Gary's fiance was going to paint them right away too...
