    They are good with technical installations but their detailing was not great. They try to make it right when they can. They were honest about things they could or could not do when installing the speakers. The window tinting was done well.

    MONRO MUFFLER BRAKE & SVC
    I went to MONROE in January  to have tires, breaks and rotors put on my 2002 VW Jetta.   Normally use Emmanuel Auto Body, and I should have know better to go anywhere else.  But I was in a hurry and needed it done while I waited.

    Got to Monroe at 9 am.  They told me it would take a couple of hours, which I assumed.  By 2 p.m. I was still sitting in their shop.  by this time I was getting pretty Irate.   They told me that they could not find the correct rear rotors and would have to order from 3 rivers VW.  I would have to leave my car until Monday and they offered to give me a ride home.  On the way home the greese monkey who drove me in the Monroe truck, told me about his stent in prison.  NICE, right.  glad I am a girl who packs...  

    On Monday night I went to pick up my car.  I noticed that something just didn't feel quite right with the breaks.  Took the car back on Tuesday, apparently they forgot to put some kind of spring to hold the break pad on, back on the car.  The breaks still did not feel right.  Took it back they told me it was just my imagination.  After a week or so I took it to my usual mechanic, Emmanuel Auto Body.  Apparently they stripped out one of the bolt holes that holds the rotors on the car.  They stuck a helicoil in it, and it was digging into my rotors.  Cost me $250 to have fixed by Emmanuel, which I took the bill to Monroe and demanded they pay.  They did agree to pay the bill.  A few weeks later one of my new tires came off the bead while driving out my road, luckily I was going slow.  Had my husband put the dummy tire on and took to Monroe.  No holes in tire, they told be it just didn't seal good, and put the tire back on.  A couple weeks later same thing happened with another tire while the car was parked in town.  Called AAA they came and aired the tire up and I drove it to Monroe.  This time they told me that the greese monkey who worked on my car apparently did not clean the rims before putting the tires on.  Put the tire back on and went on my marry way.  About 3 days later, had another tire come off while I was driving AGAIN.  Once again luckly I was not driving at a high rate of speed.  Had the dummy tire put on and back to Monroe I went.  This time I demanded that they put new tires on my car.  As I felt the tires were defective, and this is my work vehicle in which I drive on the interstate at a high rate of speed.  At first they tried to tell me they would just reseal the tire again.  I refused and demanded they replace the "defective" tires.  They finally agreed to do it, however they made me out to be a person out to get free tires...  W**???  I just paid for the tires 2 months prior to this, I had not even put 2000 miles on the tires.  And I have had to take numerous trips to Monroe to have things fixed during business hours.  I am self employed and when I don't work, I don't get paid.  This whole mess has cost me money, and you want to make me out to be the bad person.  NO WAY.. I will NEVER go to MONROE again.  They even sent me a $50 gift certificate to use there.  Which I will never use, because I will NEVER go back.

    WALT'S AUTO CLINIC
    My wife and I were driving cross-country, Maryland to Kansas, when our car broke down.  Progressive had us towed to Walt's Auto Clinic.  Gene opened his shop for us on Saturday, Labor Day Weekend, when he was not planning to do so, and had us on the road before 12:30PM (his shop closes at 12!).  Wonderful people, Gene and Mike both.

    SUMMERS TOWING & REPAIRS
    My wife and I were driving cross-country, from Maryland to Kansas, and the car broke down on the freeway about 30-40 miles north of Morgantown, in Pennsylvania.  Summers sent a wonderfully polite, careful, well-spoken, and effective technician with a good (nearly new, by the looks of it) truck, and took very good care of us overall. The car was treated very well, and we were, too.
