    Zody's Moving & Storage Inc
Last summer we experienced flooding inside our home after a water line burst on the second floor. Half the house had to be gutted, and the restoration company placed the furniture from the living room, dining room, and guest rooms in a storage container in our driveway.
Now, my husband is disabled due to heart disease, and neither of us are young, so with the repairs finally finished, I contacted Zody's this morning to see about moving our furniture back into the house. The lady who answered the phone said that they charge $100 an hour, which I consider to be a fair price, but that they have a two hour minimum charge, PLUS a $33 surcharge to cover the gas to get to our home, even though we live less than seven miles from their office.
It would have cost us $290 for them to drive to our home and move our dining room set, living room set, desk, and
dresser back into the house. The lady on the phone said that the two hour minimum was mandatory, as is the gasoline surcharge, and when I accused her of taking advantage of senior citizens, she got very snippy and started to yell at me, so I hung up on her.
Seems like she did me a favor - any company that does business like that is nobody I would ever want to do business with anyway.

We were moving into a new home and the closing date was for ever changing. Trying to get in touch with them to reschedule was the hardest part of this move. We left messages and had no response. Finally got in touch with them and everything was fine. Until it was time to move. The moving day was at the tail end of Hurricane Sandy. I called the office the day before the move and they said we were still on schedule to move. The day of the move we waited for movers and after 45 minutes of the scheduled time to show, we called the office and were told that some of the guys were unable to get to the office due to the storm and they were hunting down a couple of other people. Okay that's understandable.
Once they showed up, I have to say I was impressed. They got right to work and had the townhouse loaded and on the road in a little over 2 hours. We drove an hour to the new house and we had to wait for the construction crews to move vehicles so they could get the truck in the driveway to unload. Once that was done, they once again got right to work. They had the truck unloaded in about an hour. Granted everything was unloaded into the basement not up the stairs into the house as the house wasn't finished.
It appears that all of the boxes made it with no damage. However we haven't opened any of them yet and won't for a few days. But looks like everything is fine. Furniture made it without any bumps or bruises.
The 3 man crew we had were nothing but professional and hard workers. I'd hire them again if I should ever have to move again.
