Window Replacement reviews in Washington

    Window Nation Inc
I dont typically leave reviews but have felt compelled to do so for Window Nation. The sales representative, Kevin Jarvis, that came to complete the window consultation for my home far exceeded any and all expectations I had for this process. I had a few consultations prior to Kevin and I have to say he was incredible. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the windows and was able to speak to the different types and styles of windows in detail. He offered his educated opinion when I asked but did not push anything or any one particular product like in my experiences I have had with competitors sales representatives. I ask a lot of questions and some sales representatives become frustrated or annoyed but Kevin was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly and in a manner that was easy to understand. He was patient, and easy-going even as my children interrupted us frequently. Due to changing circumstances, I was unable to purchase windows at this time but when I am able to do so I will definitely go with Window Nation.

    Pace Renovations
Mr. Pace visited our home, was very patient and listened to our ideas, request and concerns. He quickly submitted the quote and had no problems changing tasks around to help get the pricing to match our budget. Started on time and kept everything as clean as one would expect. Finished on time. Thanks Phillip and crew!

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Pittsburgh
The installation went great. The installers were very professional. I have 2 Windows that were messed up. The bathroom window has a scratch in it replaced once and still has a scratch. Living room window replaced twice and still isn't correct it now has white spots throughout it. It's been a year and I have yet to have a completed product. Champion is horrible with customer service and they never return phhone calls. I have reeported them twice to BBB and about to do it for a third time because that is the only way to get them to respond.

    Metropolitan Window Co
Metropolitan Window Company is a top-notch company! We could not be any happier with our new windows! Michael came out to give us a quote and there was no pressure to sign a contract. He obviously believes in his product and stands behind his company. Shawn was the head installer on our project and he could not have been more professional and nice to deal with. His installation team was also very nice and actually seemed happy to be doing the work. We have never had a home project go so smoothly! We would highly recommend this company to anyone needing new windows!

    Metropolitan Window Co
These windows were custom built, so that took a few weeks, but the installation began on April 12, 2016, with Jim and Don, the same guys who worked on my previous job. It was nice to see them again. They completed the job by the 15th, again leaving my place clean of all debris, and well vacuumed. The only drawback is that I couldn't get them to do my taxes for me. I have received so many compliments on the look of my "new" front porch, I should have done this long ago. Unfortunately, the porch is still only 3-season as there is no heating out there - but Metropolitan Windows doesn't do that sort of work. My next project for them will be to replace my front door. I won't call anyone else. And I highly recommend them to you, too.

On August 21, 2015, Mike of Met. Windows came to the house and gave me an estimate for replacing the storm window for my stained glass window.  The previous storm window - which was probably original to 1893 - had given way and shattered onto the ground.  Scared the you-know-what out of me when that happened! That was a lot of glass that I cleaned up!
I called a few window companies, but I knew that this would be an out-of-the-ordinary job.  The stained glass window itself measured about 38 inches by 6 feet!
Well, Metropolitan was not the cheapest, but they did offer what I was wanting, which was a tempered glass, single sheet of glass with no "bar" or frame cutting across the middle width of the window.  The previous storm window was in two panes, as I guess they did not have the technology to do otherwise in the late 1800's.
I contracted with Mike for the job on August 26.  Metropolitan Windows would replace the rotted wood on either side of the window, add new wood, install the storm window and silicon all around.  He told me that a man would be around to get exact measurements for the new window and wood.  And he also said it would be about 5 to 6 weeks until install because of the manufacture of the storm window.
On the 28th of August, two men came by to measure the window.  I had been told that they would not have to see me, so I didn't have to be here for this.  Good thing I was, though, because Mike had neglected to tell them that they would need a ladder to reach the window!  They were able to come inside and measure.  This was the only glitch in the whole job, and was a minor thing in my opinion.  In fact, I thought it was kind of funny.  But I don't sweat the small stuff, anyway.
Imagine my surprise when Mike called within 4 weeks and scheduled the installation!  The same two guys came by to install the window, but I didn't watch because it was my birthday and I left to go have some fun.  But when I came back, the work area was spic and span, and the window looked great.  Now I don't even notice it because it is so perfectly done.
All in all, this was a great experience.  Metropolitan Windows took what I considered to be a big problem and turned it into a very easy fix.  Everyone I dealt with, all through the company, was friendly and personable.  Great job by Metropolitan Windows, and I will be in touch with them in the future.

We live in an old house, the basement door had to be totally reframed. The sill had to be dug out and reformed wih cement. The new door is square and shows a perfect fit. The glass block windows are perfect. We are ready for winter.

    Pella Windows and Doors
It was fantastic! They had a really organized crew. The guys set it up and knew exactly what they were to do, and they never missed anything. I called them and the gentleman came out and went over everything with me. He told me exactly what was going to happen and how it was going to happen. I had no problems at all. I priced them before and they were $1,000 cheaper than a couple of other bids that I got. The price was satisfactory, but I think they all charge too much.

Our overall experience with Scott Brothers started poorly but ended much better. All of the A's are for the installation team and the finished product. The D for "Responsiveness" is for the sales staff.
Initial contact and attempts to get an estimate were very frustrating. Calls were not returned promptly, excuses were made, and an initial appointment was canceled. It appeared that they were not very interested in the job and when I said this, the guy actually responded "It's only one door". I was inclined to give up on Scott brothers but we weren't having much better luck with any other contractors. We had decided that we wanted a Marvin brand door and their nearest "Authorized Installing Retailers" weren't interested in traveling to us from adjacent counties.
The good news is that once the door was finally ordered and received, the installation was completed promptly and very professionally. We are very happy with the door, the installation crew and the finished product.

    All Good Home Improvements
July 18th, 2013 we had Mike came out gave us his pitch. We gave money down. Weeks went by. I had to call to see when they were coming out, they missed that day! I called after I had water coming in after I had someone else add a roof over the porch which they put me off till that was done. Roofing was done by great guys who spoke very little english but worked their butts off, cleaned up and did a great job. then came the siding 2 weeks later.Again another crew of non-english speaking people show up, the job was moving along, looking great. Windowscapped along with entry doors, patio doors look great. But the new porch was to have siding to match, not enough product to do that????? Then electric wires hanging out where they weren't before. Door bell that rang when you pushed anywhere by it! Main electric put back on the house with old hardware. And down it came. I zip tied it up myself!
after several visits from Mike {sales person}, Ed {the owner}, and Lou {guy who ties up loose ends} I got the door bell fixed! Really I paid someone else to fix the main electic which i had zipped tied, after it fell down. ALL Good did see all the problems. And the last I heard from any ALL Good person was Fri. 10/11/2013 which was Lou I'm still waiting for him. Need I say more! House does look great from the road, but was NOT buttoned up and done correctly at all.
