ASignature Paving & SealcoatingThe guys showed up just barely within the timeslot we agreed upon, so they are punctual as far as contractors go! The work was very well done, with what appears to be good quality materials. Last time - I don't remember who did the work - the surface was kind of powdery and came off on our shoes for a long time. They were friendly, efficient, and charged a reasonable fee, though it showed up $15 more than what we paid last time we had them do our driveway. They said they would keep the same price for us. Oh well. We will definitely consider them again.- Thomas P.

AS Tabone PavingVery Professional. I live in a rural area and I have had my driveway paved several times. This is by far the best paving that I have ever had done. The gravel was removed in 1 day. The next day the paving team arrived on time and proceeded to lay the asphalt in an extremely efficient manner. They cleaned up the area when the work was completed. The owner Jim Raul called and followed up with me to make sure that I was satisfied. I have recommended this company to several of my friends and they are told me that they were equally satisfied. I could not find anything negative about this transaction.- Richard B.

ASignature Paving & SealcoatingThe company was very professional from beginning to end. They were very prompt responding to our request for an estimate, and even more than happy to double check, whe the price seemed exceptionally low. They were here when they said they would be after a couple of delays, ONLY due to the weather. When the weather was right , they arrived at the appointed time, were quick, efficient, and the job was completed without a mess. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again, which I probably will when the time comes to do more extensive work. This is due to the fact we live in the Northeast where blacktop driveways consistantly and usually need yearly maintainence. Again the work was great, the people we dealt with friendly and easy to work with.- Beryl A.

BSignature Paving & SealcoatingI originally called 3 paving contractors to a**** my driveway and give me a quote for repairing the cracks and sealcoating it.. The estimator for Signature called me back promptly and assessed my driveway first and gave me a quote which turned out to be the lowest quote. There was a slight delay on my part while I awaited all the quotes to come in. I then called to schedule the work and they couldn't find my estimate. Then they wanted to do it the next day which wasn't feasible for me. I was told that they would call. A week and a couple days went by with no call. Finally I called again and they said they would be out the next day weather permitting to get it done. Well, that didn't happen. In the middle the following week they finally came. No instructions were left for me as to how long I was to avoid driving on it. I was not pleased with the quality of the crackfilling. However, I was too stressed at that time to call and complain. So I enclosed a note when I paid my bill, which I expected to be read politely and to be told how that really was a good job. However, I received a phone call and someone came and looked at it again and agreed that the cracks could have been filled more completely. About 1 1/2 weeks later they came out and redid it for no additional charge. The cracks are still slightly visible but better than after the first job. I was not pleased with the difficulty in scheduling the job but I was quite impressed with the response to my letter and the efforts to do the job correctly. More aftercare information would also be helpful.- Catherine P.

FroadsI am currently suing this company though Hogan willig 716-932-6619!!!!! I had tar and chipped stone put down just for it to wash out after it rained twice. was told the owner would call multiple times and never did. they offered to pave it for an additional costs of course but I declined. DO NOT HIRE!!!- matt b.

FKINGSVIEW PAVING & EXCAVATINGKingsview never called 811 Dig NY. I was there the whole time. Right there. Operator of machine told me he didn't call. They dug through the underground telephone/internet then for over 8 months they refused to pay the repair bill at the telephone company. Tel company shut off our internet. I contacted 811 Dig NY, no ticket. $129.55. The owners of Kingsview LIED about it and continues to lie about, The Tel company was very,very good and put our service back on and dropped the charge for us. Kingsview reputation for lies follows them. Never hire them.- peter c.

FI am sick and tired of contractors that you call or contact and they don't have the courtesy to return your call or contact you. This seems to be the way they operate around Nelson County. If you list them and they don't respond your organization should have a rating that shows how often they ignore contacts

FI returned home from work on Tuesday evening (2nd day of project) to find my aluminum siding ripped from the back of my house which was totally unnecessary and caused damage to the siding. I had outlined the opening for the patio door before work which should have been cut out and the base plate could have been attached directly on the siding. (Aluminum siding goes on from the bottom up which means it must be removed from the top down to avoid damage. Any qualified contractor would have known this. The patio door was installed with no header and when I insisted he remove the door and do it right, he walked off the job and never returned. I had two independent contractors check the workmanship and the both agreed, the door needs not only a header but also a bottom plate and jack studs on both sides of the door, non of which was installed. Just nail the door in the opening and try to cover it over before somebody sees the shoddy work. The deck looked like it was build by amateurs, improper deck screws were used and the balusters and top rails were nailed on with a nail gun. The angle cuts weren't true and were filled with saw dust and dirt to cover the bad cuts.
Mr. Kieffer left the job (unfinished) on Monday morning, after showing up 3.5 hours late (3 days past his promised finished date), I thought to get more lumber to redo the patio door right, but he never came back.
I hired a qualified contractor Mark Kunkel (who really does have over 30 years of experience) to repair the damages to the aluminum siding plus remove and reinstall the patio door proper
Now I get a phone message earlier today from Stan K. claiming I broke the contract and he is calling his attorney in the morning.
I had issued another check for an additional 25% (against my better judgment) when he asked to for the unpaid balance in full promising I could trust him to finish the job and when Stan stopped work on Monday, I stopped payment on the second check the following day. (after it was clear he had no intention of returning). Guess we will have to let the Judge decide... ( a picture is worth a thousand words and I took lots of pictures). Plus there are plenty of eye witnesses!
