Great. Lisa is very knowledgeable, patient and clearly loves animals. She uses positive reinforcement for training. Will go to the next class she offers. The cost was for 6 classes that were an hour each.

Had a very unpleasant experience. Had my dog stay their for three days/ two nights in December of 2016. It was our first time of using them for dog boarding. The dog was neglected, came home all covered in urine, he was not walked, etc. At the end I was overcharged, but caught the error right there and got the extra money they charged me refunded.

We are very happy with the pet-sitting service they provide.
I started using Pet Sit the Kennel Alternative a month ago for my two dogs Roxy and Lucy.  They are very professional. Atfer the pet visit they leave a very detailed note and even send me text messages. about the visit.
I highy recommend  them and look forward to using them again soon for all my pet sitting needs.

My dog is deaf and they were disturbed about that.  They did a good job but my dog's deaf so sound doesn't bother her. She doesn't like to be brushed, it's the feeling on her skin. She thinks your playing so she'll try to grab at it and I said, all you have to do,  you keep trying to talk to her, you have to use hand signals and I guess it's hard because they're blow drying her out and their hands are constantly moving. If you use just one finger back and forth that means no to her, I guess they just didn't get that. The manager had to groom her out. She's only 2 years old. She's not vicious at all, she doesn't bite. They wanted to put a muzzle on her. They couldn't get the hair behind her ears. I can do that. I just go up behind her and snip when it gets all matted.
They're nice people. Well, that's not true, the manager wouldn't' even look at me. I took her to puppy training there. We didn't know that she couldn't hear yet because she hadn't been tested yet. That was good.
The girl didn't tell me that all they did was brush her and half cut her. They didn't tell me that.

We have used Dorri for two different vacations this year. We have a cat who is very shy of strangers but somehow Dorri was able to coax her out and make friends with her - the cat even started to greet Dorri when she came to the house!. Dorri clearly knows her way around cats. She provided us with regular updates via e-mail including pictures and gave us a written log for the entire 8 days she came to take care of the cat, including how much she ate each day, whether she had any hairball treatment, etc. Her prices are reasonable but her services are invaluable. I highly recommend her services.

I have used only two vets after having been owned by 9 dogs, I know what quality vet care is.. I left my previous vet due to one vet misreading my one dogs bloodwork and not recognizing the severity of her results. She was terminal - it would not have changed much - but it left me questioning their care, so I decided to move on.  I currently am owned by 3 dogs.
Went in for my first ever visit to this facility with a puppy we got from a rescue 2 days before. This is the first time I had ever taken this pet to a vet and I had told them when I made the appt that she had Kennel Cough as the rescue had told me.
Dr. Palin performed the exam and it was not very thorough at all.  My previous vet would move each limb and feel each joint to make sure there was proper movement and/or no unusual 'mechanics',  a thorough skin check, feeling every inch of the dog including their tail to the tip, etc. Dr. Palin did none of those things.  She looks at her nose, eyes and in her mouth.  She didn't look at her belly until I said something.  I mentioned her belly because it was distended -which I thought was a sign of worms - I wanted her opinion.  Her response was it looked "fine".  She never looked at her tail until I asked her to, because I knew something was wrong with her tail.  She proceeded to tell me it was broken, at some earlier point, and said not to worry about it  I had to ask if there was anything that could done about it!  I asked about Kennel Cough and showed her the meds the rescue had given me. She said just to finish them - no other info on this disease relayed by her personally.  Apparently this vets likes to give you everything in writing.  Now I like that, but I also like to hear it from the vet as well so I can ask questions.  This is how my other vet did things; made sure I was 100% comfortable with with the diagnosis and they treatment plan.  Here, there was no mention of follow up or what to worry about other than she couldn't get her required shots due to the kennel cough and some paperwork I could review!  I then asked about their wellness plans and she quickly stated "oh you can't have that one as she is over 6 mts old!".  My dog is 6 mths and 3 weeks and we had just gotten her from a rescue 3 days before. Really?  Not even willing to consider it, ask the manager and/or owner of the practice?
Dr. Palin was not very warm and fuzzy and was not personable - at least in my opinion. I was willing to overlook this as I could see one of the other vets, and I really liked the idea of their wellness plan.  With the elimination of the 'puppy' wellness plan per Dr. Palin,, the only choice I had was the standard plan.  It didn't cover as many shots as the puppy one, but it appeared to be a good value.
In the end I decided to purchase it and they were very accommodating that if my husband didn't like my decision i could cancel w/in 72 hours - as is standard with contracts.  I appreciated their flexibility and patience in working up my costs that day to weigh the benefits of the plan.
They ran a fecal exam and bloodwork and the only results they had right away was the heartworm test.  Fecal, i was told, they would call me the next day.   My previous vet was able to get these results right then and there.  But I thought, I'll know tomorrow, no big deal.
Tomorrow came and went. Myself, I forgot that first day.  But by the 2nd day I really thought, hey bad news travels fast, she is probably all clear and will call with the 'all clear' eventually.  Third day - no call.  I decided to check online with the portal they emailed me.  Low and behold - it says "positive" for hookworms and giardia!!!!  Obviously, I called right away.  What was I told, "no sure why you didn't get a call, but we have the medication for her right here'!!!!  Really!?!??  I have this poor little puppy who is already immunocompromised with kennel cough and now has not only hookworms, but giardia and NO ONE CALLS?  Just come in and pick up meds - no concern for a almost 7 month old puppy having all these conditions at once - at least not enough to call me!!??!!  Not to mention the two dogs at home that her stool could be infecting because I didnt' know!  (Now, I now better with a new dog so I did p/u her poop for the first 5 days we had her, but when I had not heard from them by the 2nd day - I really did think she was all clear and stopped picking it up!)  I was beyond furious at a possible infestation in my lawn, the well being of my dogs, etc.  Luckily I googled both conditions and freezing temperatures kills the viruses; so my lawn is good.  My other pups?? only time will tell.
I told them to cancel my wellness plan, i told them i would not be returning. They said they would take care of it and the office manager said she would have to refund all charges. Ok.  So - I decide rather than paying for a another new vet to exam my pup - i was just going to go in the next day and p/u the meds that they knew she would need for her worms and Giardia.
I pick the meds up and the receptionist (who is very nice) tells me my 'credit' and my new total!?  Hmmm, why is it more  She calls office manager out.  Can you believe this place had the nerve to 'credit' me the discount' price I originally paid (i.e. refunding my original purchase price/ dollar spent - which was discounted with the wellness plan) but then charge me what the price 'should have been' now that I did not have a wellness plan!!  Really?!?  They screwed up, put my puppy in jeopardy, my two older dogs in jeopardy,I came back and was willing to pay for the medication but they  have the nerve to charge me MORE money (for the original office visit that would have been included in the wellness plan) even though they screwed this whole thing up!
The office manager proceeds to say, well, we gave you one of the meds for free!   I told her big deal, I was more than willing to pay for those.  The bottom line is they got another $45 of my money than I had 'originally' paid and that in light of the situation, they should have swallowed that pill and chalked it up to a lesson learned.  I told her I thought, from a customer service stand point, they were making a HUGE mistake!   I am here to make you aware of how big that mistake is - right her on Angie's List!
The office visit I paid for was a pathetic excuse for an exam.  Let alone the test results that I only heard of when I had to call!
I am a business owner myself, i get it, I get what I would have done and what they should have done? 1)apologize profusely, and 2) say  'hey - we realize we have lost you but we are going to make this right and we are not going to charge you for anything here due to our mistake'.  Like I said, even if they had only charged me for the meds; that would have been fine with me.
The kicker of this whole thing is what would they have done had I NEVER returned - never went in to pick up those meds?  How would they have charged me more?  Interesting thought in hind sight, and I wish I would have asked exactly what they were going to do before I went in; lesson learned.
If you are looking for quality care, customer service, and a decent business ethic - this IS NOT the place!
UPDATE: My pup finished the kennel cough & worm meds on Sun but as of the night before she began to eat less, cough more and just act differently. (We've only had her for 10 days so it's hard to judge, but I felt something was off.)  Found a new vet and was lucky to get an appt today (Mon).  Vet informed me that my dear little 7 lbs pup has PNEUMONIA!!  Did she have it exactly one week ago when we visited this vet? I don't know.  What I can tell you is that Doylestown Vet NEVER told me to be concerned or look for signs or anything of the sort as it relates to her Kennel Cough COMBINED with the diagnosis of the hook worms and giardia.   Yet, when I looked online, I clearly read that it can be much more concerning; especially to very small dogs ; which my girl is!   She is sitting in a hospital right now, getting IV fluids.
I'm just sorry my pup had to be the example of what a horrible, lousy vet this is!

We recently went on a week long trip and brought our dog for boarding. My wife is always nervous to leave the dog at new places, Kyle showed us around there facility and set her mind at ease. We also had our dog groomed before we picked him up and he looked fantastic! Price was very reasonable - would highly recommended!

Dorri is trustworthy and reliable.  I have known her for many years (8+) and I am completely comfortable having her stay at our house and take care of our two dogs (one of whom is a bit high-maintenance)!  I only needed Dorri for the one evening (this time) because my roommate (at the time) was back late that night and able to take care of the pups the next morning; however, I have already secured Dorri's services for another weekend this summer, and for a longer stretch in October when we go on our honeymoon.  :)   I never worry about the pups when I know Dorri is taking care of them.  She texts me pictures and messages while she visits with them to let me know how they were doing, which is certainly not something I require of her; nonetheless I enjoy knowing they are well taken care of.  In fact, I have already recommended Dorri to others looking for petsitting services!
