5 Tips to Get the Best Handyman Service

Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Warminster

UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST AND A POOR COMMUNICATOR. Bill talked a good game right up until the work started. He tried to cut corners by reusing old outlets, ceiling fans, door hardware, etc. He constantly made promises that he didn't keep and then made up lies to justify his poor performance. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING EASY BATH SOLUTIONS and please don't believe the lies he will post in this review.

Mike was a pleasure to deal with. He did what was asked and exceeded expectations. We had many changes and upgrades as the project progressed and all was no problem for Mike. He worked most days by himself and his workmanship was great.

Jim is a terrific handyman. at first I thought my job would be beyond the capacity for a handyman but I was wrong. Jim has an engineering background and was able to professionaly remove a wall to open up my kitchen as well as the other work (lighting, flooring, plastering). He worked with me to coordinate his work with the installation of granite countertops and plumbing. I was able to leave him at home to do his work while I went to work over several days. He is completely reliable and trustworthy. His prices are excellent. I would definitely hire again.

Job was on time and on budget. We even added a floor to the attic and a drop down ladder to utilize full storage space after the job was begun and they still finished on time (2 days before Christmas) and we were ready to go with our annual family Christmas party for 30 ! Their price was quite competitive and I was very impressed with the quality of their work. The entire house was painted and hardwood floors that were very damaged were redone. Once the kitchen was opened they had to find some hardwood to match the floor since tile had been there and they did a beautiful job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

We waited two and a half weeks for an estimate. When added to the time we waited to get an appointment with Mr. White, that put us at one month of "wait time". I received a phone call to "discuss the budget of the project". When I requested over the phone to have an estimate emailed to us, I was told that they didn't send anything in writing because it "took too much time". The gentleman then proceeded to verbally list all of the jobs that needed to be done, which included at least a half dozen jobs that we told the representative during the meeting that we wouldn't be doing at this time. It became clear at this time that either a) the representative wasn't listening to us, or b) they ignored us and based the proposal off the 3D rendering instead. The price they gave me was $125,000. It was difficult to understand how realistic this price was (since it included many jobs we didn't want them to do, and especially because nothing was broken down for us verbally or in writing). What did strike me as odd is that the gentleman told me that the kitchen (which makes up the large bulk of the project) would cost around $40,000-$50,000 by itself. I asked how, if the kitchen made up 80% of the work, the price could go from $50,000 to $125,000? The other work involved flooring, some basic electrical, replacing 6 stairs, framing and dry wall. Even if I bought the most expensive flooring available, the increase of $75,000 was not justified. Needless to say, we did not continue past the "estimate". I am disappointed because not only was our time wasted, but the company provided us with literally no breakdown that we could have used to determine if their price point was realistic. Maybe $125,000 is the price I would get from other contractors as well? But as Francis X White Builders would not provide us with any kind of breakdown, it felt like a rip off job. Unless you are willing to be very trusting, I wouldn't waste the month it would take to get a price.

It went great. The kitchen turned out better than we hoped for. Toby, the owner, made sure the job was done right, but he even got it done ahead of schedule. His guys did a great job making the cabinets we needed, painting and installing the floor. He also had a granite company, a plumber, and a tile guy come in and work on the rest. We picked out what we wanted with Toby's assistance, but he handled the rest.

Worst experience ever. They have an "interior designer'' at their shop who really didn't help us at all, we somehow ended up with chrome appliances but brass accents on the drawers. We were introduced to the guy who would be completing the project from start to finish. First day of project no one showed up. Next day, someone completely different showed up. He was supposed to have a binder with a in depth description of everything we ordered along with the tile layout etc. He was nice.. Except he installed the shower with the wrong tile, he scratched our foyer floor while carrying out the old tub, he initially installed the shower water handle upside down so hot and cold were opposite. Then there was a leak of water coming from the outlet he installed next to the shower. He had to cut into the new drywall to repair the leak. He installed all the electrical and plumbing opposite from our original plan. We had to switch the side of out cabinet tower or else he said " it would have pushed our end date back 2 more days of work". Paint job was absolutely terrible, you could see marks and missed spots. He clearly rushed the job . He didn't properly caulk around the mirror/cabinet or tub. The grout on the tile floor isn't even. He made a huge gauge on the custom made cabinet which is quite noticeable. Their initial salesman came out to the house to ask why we wouldn't recommend them for any other projects, he brought a candle and body wash. He sent out another guy to fix the other guys problems, this new guy said he would be out later that week to fix the last issue which was the tile floor grout since he didn't have the color grout we used.... the guy never returned and no one ever called. After all this ,we were so completely done with the company that we just let it go because we so desperately wanted it to be over with. For all the thousands of dollars we spent and time we took off work,.. it was a NIGHTMARE. I would never use this company again.

We couldn't have asked for more quality of work. When you look for a contractor, you want someone who not only sees your vision the way you do, but one who actually CARES. We thought that these type of contractors just didn't exist anymore. Until we met the DaVinci guys. They are a dying breed. You don't find guys who do what they say they are going to do and do it within the time line they say they are going to do it. Not only do they do what they promise, but they do it with pride and absolute care. Each day of our project, I genuinely could see the that the guys were just as excited as I was with what was being done. They love doing what they do and it shows. I wish there was an A plus rating, because that's what I would give them. I only gave a B for pricing, because the cost was not cheap. But we do not regret for a second what we paid. You pay for quality, and that is what we got. Our home is completely transformed. We feel like we live in a magazine. And everyone who comes to our house says the same. So you get what you pay for, and we got nothing but top of the line quality service. Our project started the last week of September and ended 1st week of November. I should have written this review sooner, but, I wanted to give it the time and attention these guys deserve...also I selfishly wanted to have my Christmas decorations displayed in the pictures (haha). I could go on and on. Bottom line is, if you are hesitant and aren't sure who to hire, do not question yourself with DaVinci. They are truly talented professionals.

Dan and his helper were very polite and professional. They kept me apprised of the progress and it was finished within the estimated time frame. There were issues with the framing that was rotting when they did the demolition and they had to re-frame the shower but no additional cost was added to the original estimate I was given. He gave me his professional opinion on the tiles to use, which cost slightly more than the ones I had initially chosen but were not a good quality product, and took us to a show room to show us better products. We were hesitant in the beginning but we are extremely happy with the higher quality tiles we chose at his suggestion. We're glad he took us to the showroom to show us the difference between the tiles we have now and the Home Depot tiles we had wanted. He worked on our schedule and didn't charge us for his time at the showroom. His quality was more than expected and his attention to detail was impeccable. There was no mess - they tarped the work area and vacuumed everyday. It was like no one was even there after they left each day. When we redo our kitchen next year we will definitely be calling him again.

Dan Gerth is a craftsman.  He put in a new bathroom for us and it turned out beautifully.  The only problem we had was that he hurt his back and could not finish the last line of grout.  My husband did it and the bathroom is beautiful.  I would not hesitate to hire him again.
