They were notified on 12/1/2018 that my LG refrigerator was not working and was under an warrantee. I was told the parts would take 3-5 days to obtain and they would call me back.. One week later I called and was told that the parts would take 1-3 weeks to obtain and they would call me back. I called four weeks later and was told they would call LG and would call me back. I called 1/2/2019 and they told me LG had cancelled the work order on 12/28/2018. I called LG Premium directly. They called RTA Services to tell them they never cancelled the work order. During the five weeks RTA never came out to inspect the refrigerator. They never called me.

Cooling turned on spontaneously after two days but I still had Tim come out for inspection and maintenance. He was very professional, courteous and helpful. He offered many tips on using the refrigerator and he cleaned the coils. He also offered a possible diagnosis of the original problem (hanging mechanical controls) but did not recommend repairs, feeling that this was possibly a one-time event. His fee was moderate.

Both times, we had the same technician visit from Quick Fix. He called ahead to make sure I was at home and ready for his arrival, and then arrived when he said he would. Being an electro-mechanical technician myself, I recognized that his troubleshooting methods and workmanship were both logical and excellent. The September repair when he'd replaced the compressor starter solved the problem. Today, he quickly diagnosed the problem and we discussed the options for repair or replacement of the refrigerator, and he provided his professional opinions on both, which I deeply appreciated. On both visits, the fees charged were extremely reasonable and honest, in my opinion.

So far, so good. Problem has not recurred. Tim is very knowledgeable about washing machines and is very customer service oriented. Price for work is very reasonable, especially so after the Angie's List $10.00 coupon was applied. I would definitely use Tim's Appliance Repair again.

On July 7 the technician who came to repair my microwave had a very unpleasant demeanor upon greeting him at my door.  I had to ask him to put covers on his work boots instead of him offering.  The time he spent at my home doing the repair was less than an hour and I was charged $172.77 which was slightly less than the original purchase price of $179.10 that I originally paid for the microwave.  I was not given an opportunity to choose between buying a new one or replacing the part.  Although the part was cheap I feel I was gouged on the labor cost.  To make matters worse the technician broke the exhaust grille located above the microwave door and left my house without saying a word of it.

In the evening on the same day of the repair I was cleaning the top of the stove under the microwave and found a piece of plastic which appeared to be broken off the microwave.  This alerted me to inspect the microwave and found the grille was severely cracked.  It appeared that the technician must have applied too much pressure when he put it back on during the repair work.

The next day on Friday morning I called and spoke to Julie the office manager and told her what had happened to the grille and my experience with the technician.  She scheduled him to come back to inspect the grille on Monday, July 13 at 9:00 AM.  He never showed.  I did not get a call from him nor the company letting me know of the delay or possible no show.  They virtually left me hanging with no regard for my time.  I called Dave's later that evening and spoke to Joan and she said the technician was rescheduled at his convenience to come to my home the following day between 6:30 & 7:00 AM on his way to work.  He did show up this time, looked at the grille then denied breaking it and stormed out the door.

I called to speak to Dave the owner of the company to try and resolve this situation and had to leave a message.  I missed his return call then I called back and left another message and still to date no return call from him.  This company has no respect for other people's time, have been unreliable and unwilling to replace the part the technician broke.  A friend who referred me to this repair service also attempted to reach out to them on my behalf and they have ignored her as well.

I called GE Parts and Services and they quoted a price of $104.00 for the grille and they were willing to give me a small discount on the part.  For what this repair cost me I could have had a new microwave installed and not have to deal with such poor treatment and customer service.  To date the company appears to not want to make good on their error.  My advice would be to seek another appliance repair service before considering this company for your household appliance repairs.

We scheduled a repair call to fix our young (!) Whirlpool clothes washer.  Upon the investigation by the owner of Aviv, it was determined repairs would cost more than a replacement washer.  He suggested brand names of reliable and high quality washers and discussed with me the reasons and why he would not even begin to attempt a "fix" of our machine.  His explanation and recommendations were right on target and we followed the latter ...  with great satisfaction.  You could not ask for a more forthright and honest evaluation of the situation, supported by logical and accurate experience.  This firm gets the highest marks for customer friendly service.  Have confidence dealing with Aviv Appliances.  The best in our area.

When I called they offered me service within 2 days but when I requested a specific day the following week they agreed with no problem.  I received a call the morning of my appointment letting me know that they were on their way.  Brittany and Chris arrived at the designated time.  They were very pleasant and professional.
To fix my dishwasher there were two options.  Since I am not sure if I will be replacing the dishwasher when I remodel, I opted not to replace part.  Brittany and Chris serviced the entire dishwasher, flushing it out and removing as much of the residue from the rotting gasket as possible.  They also advised that the dishwasher was not leaking.
They gave me good advised about my dishwasher and what to do when ready to remodel.
I was extremely please with the service I received and would recommend them to anyone in need of appliance repair.

Terry came out the same day I called. He pulled the refrigerator out from the wall and removed some of the contents from the freezer. He inspected everything and determined that the fan was still working and there was no ice buildup, and that the problem must be with the compressor and/or a Freon leak. Unfortunately, he does not perform the type of work I needed. He advised me to contact the manufacturer. He was very professional and personable.

This review is a bit overdue.
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I was prepping for our annual Thanksgiving dinner when I noticed a
bright light coming from our upper oven. I looked inside to see that the electric element had melted in half. Now panicked
because we are having 25 people  the next day for dinner I went online and did a search for oven parts.
I called several places with no luck and then found Dave's appliance service I called and spoke with Julie who could not
have been more helpful. It was now 5:50 pm . Julie told me she had the part I needed. I told her It would take me about
25 minutes to get there and even though they were closing at 6 pm she said no problem they would wait for me.
I arrived at about 6:20 and it turned out the part wasn't quite the right one. Julie then called Dave the owner who was out
on a service call. Dave talked me through how I could use the available part and I headed home to fix the oven. Julie gave me
Dave's cell number and told me call if I had any problem.
When I got home I replaced the part but when I was placing the new element in the oven I did something that shorted it out.
By now it was around 8 pm and I was right back to square one. So I put a call into Dave and got his answering service and left a message as to what happened.
I ended the day figuring I"ll just have to try to get everything done using the bottom oven. Anyway I get a call at 7am on  Thanksgiving morning from Dave and he tells me he'll be at our house by 8.
Dave arrived and fixed the oven spending quite a bit of time. When he was finished I asked him what I owed him and
    he said nothing.
Wow !!! all I can say is my wife and I were totally blown away......
You just don't find this kind of service anywhere today. From the initial phone call with Julie to Dave actually coming out to house
on Thanksgiving it was just a great experience. I could not recommend Dave's Appliance service any higher and I do to everyone I know.
    To Dave & Julie..
Thanks again for all your help..
