I adopted a 3yr old feral/community (extremely friendly) kitty. She had just been tagged and neutered. I was told as the couple dropped her off uh, she bites! So true. Friendly and a biter. I just couldn't trust her and was actually frightened of her. My vet thought the cat had great potential and referred me to Heather. Miracles can happen. Heather being our miracle. She called me back immediately. After giving her a run down on phone, she made suggestions to try and then I made an appt in two weeks. Most importantly she made me feel upbeat and hopeful that it would be alright. When she came she immediately went to kitty and explained kitty had been on her own outdoors for 3 years, she had to learn to trust to me. The entire hour was spent with Heather working with kitty and with me! She developed fun exercises for us to do together. Oh yes Heathers initial suggestions over the phone had immediate results... and then when Heather came she devised a program for us to do. She then came back in another two weeks and saw our progress (huge) and made a some fine tuning. She stressed keeping up with exercises forever being the goal. I've had 18 cats over last 40 years and I have never had so much fun. Heather made me mindful of the time kitty and I have together. PS Forgot: I thought I was lucky, my feral kitty never scratched furniture or me. Heather taught me importance of scratching and having scratch pads for kitties and how to get kitties acclimated to them. Kitty is so much happier now. I'm happier, my fear is long past. It's comforting to know should anything change Heather is just a call away.

I adopted a German Shepherd from Florida, who was in terrible shape. She looked like she was starving, had a very rough, dull coat, etc. She is now healthy and beautiful thanks to Gladwyne Animal Hospital. My other dog, an American Bull Dog, has terrible allergies and had scratched her ear so frantically that it became very badly infected and had everyone worried. She is now well although her allergies are chronic.

We had been going to Dogma for a couple of years before this.  Apparently the previous owners, whose reviews are here, sold the business sometime around the first of the year.  They were okay.  They were expensive, but generally did a good job. The recent experience was completely different, with new contact people and groomers.  The business was very quiet, not busy as before, and I had a nice conference with the groomer herself.  The dogs were done promptly, and they seemed in a pretty good mood.  The goldendoodle was cut a little strangely, and the scotty was okay, but with more of a trim than a full cut.  I am reluctant to return, so I was looking through Angie's List for a new groomer, when I noticed that there were no current reviews of Dogma, so...

We love Jen day in our home. We call it "Fluffy Puppy Day"! We love it because this amazing person arrives who is amazingly talented and when she leaves we have to amazing looking doggies.  Even our dogs love her which is astounding given they are the ones being groomed. But they know she loves them too so they feel so comfortable around her and they trust her completely. Jenn has been grooming my Wendy, now 7 1/2, since she was six months old and her brother Koda since we brought him home almost 6 years ago. We would never go anywhere else because when you have the best - you stay and feel blessed.
Jenn is hardworking, honest, fair and so very talented. Unfortunately, Jenn, like many others, suffers from Crohn's disease. Crohn?s disease may affect as many as 700,000 Americans. Men and Women are equally likely to be affected, and while the disease can occur at any age, Crohn's is more prevalent among adolescents and young adults between the ages of 15 and 35.
The exact cause of Crohn's disease is unknown. It is a condition that occurs when your body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy body tissue (autoimmune disorder). Crohn's disease can be both painful and debilitating, and sometimes may lead to life-threatening complications. If you would like to know more you can visit Jenn's website or simply search the web.
Having known Jenn for over 7 years, I will tell you she battles everyday and has undergone countless number of procedures at the request of numerous doctors to try and manage this disease while continuing to run her own successful business for over 15 years now. This disease has periods of remission and unpredictable flare ups that could send her to the ER. She always tries to keep her clients informed and bends over backwards to makeup any appointments missed. If she doesn't call ahead of time, it is probably because she is in the hospital. They don't like cell phones in the ER.
I'm glad to report that a new panel of doctors are helping her to hopefully have longer periods of remission, less flareups and less ER visits.  Even going through all of this, she never complains and comes in with a smile on her face. Everyone has their crosses to bear and this unfortunately is hers. But, Crohn's can never defeat her spirit, her drive to make others happy and her love for her clients - human and furry.
Thanks Jen for all the years and for being the best at your craft. See you next "Fluffy Puppy Day". B

Great experience. First they come and go over everything, they maintain records of our home and needs. As usual, I outline in detail all that is required, and with their records and lists, I know they'll do it all and do it right. I can enjoy my vacations.

I have used her several times. She helped me an entire summer, for 7 weeks, and took care of my cats. She is very professional, charming, and nice. I find her very easy to work with and is very flexible. She will do just about anything you request. She plays with the cats, feeds them, and they were always very happy. Her work is very neat and tidy. She also watered my plants. When I was 400 miles away, she would call me regularly to tell me how everything was going and give updates about my cats. She was always very sensitive to the animals needs and was very clear in her reports about how they were doing. She is very neat in cleaning the litter box, which is very important with cats.

I was very impressed with the whole experience. And comfortable having Lauren come to my house while I was on vacation. My normal pet sitter bailed on me at the last minute. I found Love 4 paws online and called them to see if they could watch Oscar. Lauren came over the next day to meet him, i could tell from that initial meeting that she was going to take great care of Oscar. You can see she loves animals. And was very professional. She watched Oscar for the 5 days i was on vacation and then again last weekend. She leaves a long note on each of her visits about what they did. I would highly recommend them.

As usual, it was great (see above for details).  My pups are so beautiful which makes my entire family happy.  If you worry about using a in-house mobile groomer - don't because she is very neat and tidy.  She is a joy to have in my home and my entire family adores her.  She is totally trust-worthy.  She was a little delayed this morning because of road closures due to Hurricane Irene.  But she called from her cell to tell me what was happening.

Jen is a professional who has owned her own business for well over 10 years.  Like today, Jen tries to always call if she will be late or must reschedule do to medical reasons.  She unfortunately suffers with Crohn's disease. You can check the web for more information and understanding of this condition. Unless she is in the ER, she will call, text or email to let you know what is happening.  I truly admire someone, who regardless of her health problems, never complains and tries to always meet her obligations.  She truly cares about her clients - the human and flurry ones (canine or feline). I feel so very lucky to know her.

Jen is an amazing groomer who was just awarded "Best of Philly - Best Groomer for 2010". She keeps my two Havs looking beautiful and is very sensitive to my needs as well as what is best for them. She skillfully trimmed their coats to a shorter but not to short of a coat that is easier for me to maintain and helps with their skin allergies by allowing more air flow to their bellies. Jen was formerly a vet tech which is so helpful when it comes to understanding any medical conditions. If that is not enough, she is a certified trainer who is willing to give some great advice regarding a training need. We have been so fortunate to have this talented individual help us with our flurry children for over three years. Thanks Jen for being you.

Nice person but lousy job. Never used her again. Completely unacceptable. The groomer showed up 3 hours late with her mobile unit. I feel she did a rushed job of attempting to groom my dogs as she was running behind already. After I paid the groomer and she left, I later found mats on my dogs and informed the groomer that the multiple mats were left on the two dogs and the grooming job was performed unsatisfactory. She offered to come back another time to fix situation, but that was unacceptable to me as the job should have been done right the first time. She did not offer to refund any of my money. I spent an hour and a half to demat my dogs to remove the mats since it wasn't done properly the first time around by the groomer. Please do not be confused by the company response, as this does not address my problem with the groomer, and seems like a slick marketing piece. Furthermore, I know several other individuals who have had dissatisfactory service with this groomer. I am not alone. The groomer in question is Taria, who is also the owner of the company.
