Rob was very polite, friendly and thorough. His home inspection report was very detailed and we received it very quickly. He was very willing to provide further clarification or help if needed. I would definitely recommend him.

The inspection went well, Rob was very professional, answered any questions we had. Also asked us numerous times if we had questions throughout the inspection to make sure we were understanding everything. He was thorough with everything. He was already at the house when we arrived. He already had the radon test set up, and when we got there he went back through everything he had seen already. I would highly recommend Rob and his company, definitely worth it.

My wife and I recently had George inspect a home we are buying. He did a home inspection and radon test, and he contracted the pest inspection for us as well, which occurred simultaneously. I had read great reviews about George and I am pleased to say not only were they spot on, he outperformed my expectations. When we arrived, George was already climbing a ladder to walk the roof. He unplugged a couple downspouts (not necessarily his problem, but he wanted to make sure everything was draining properly) and thoroughly walked the roof, inspecting and describing all of what he was seeing. Once the roof was done, he came down and inspected the entire outside of the home and not only noted issues, but also gave us some great advice on future maintenance of the home, especially given that it has a Tudor siding which requires specific installation processes. He noted several areas where we should improve grading for proper drainage, etc. Inside the house he was just as thorough, checking EVERY outlet without fail, all switches were confirmed, etc. The utilities were all gone through very well and just the same as the exterior, George was a wealth of information for future items to pay attention to or upgrade. Aside from George's actual services, he was very pleasant to work with. He has a lighthearted demeanor and makes what would normally be a tedious process very much enjoyable. He spent 4 hours doing our inspection and we both feel that we know exactly what we are buying and learned a wealth of great information about properly maintaining the home. His report was very detailed with clear explanations of current condition as well as his recommendations to fix issues, complete with very nice photos showing each in detail. I would not hesitate to recommend George as a home inspector to anyone, I could not be happier with his work. Others in the industry should watch him work and follow suit, because it seems harder and harder to find people who take pride in doing a job right and making sure their customer gets exactly what they are paying for. You can really tell that George wants every customer to be satisfied with his work. If you are reading this review, look no further. A+++++++

Responsive to voice mail for home inspection in less then 24 hours. Able to schedule us within a week of request. Was prompt and well prepared. Started by explaining how he would proceed with the home inspection telling me the areas he would cover first and how he would proceed. He answered every question I had with patience and detail. As this is my third home purchase I might have asked more questions than usual but Michael just kept answering and explaining. He took pictures of all issues which were concerns. Pointed out things that were good, safety issues, things that needed repaired or replaced. He caught what could be a potential plumbing problem and recommended we get a camera test to check it out further. I was unfamiliar with this test as was not recommended or suggested with our other purchases. We received our complete home inspection report in less then 24 hours after inspection completed. It was conscience and clear and easy to read with a summary then complete report following with everything referenced by page and item. We decided to get the camera test and glad we did as the plumbing issue turned out to be roots growing through a pipe occluding it. This is a costly repair that we would have been stuck with after purchase had we not followed his recommendation. We have used the report and the results of camera test to continue our negotiations with seller as now we fully know the extent of problem. I highly recommend ashburns inspections and if we purchase again will definitely use them. My son in law was highly impressed with Michael also and plans to use him for their home purchase. Can not thank him enough for a thorough inspection and all recommendations on maintenance etc. you won't go wrong using them.

We had a pretty bad mold situation in the basement...what I thought was confined to a small closet at the bottom of the stairs was actually spread throughout the entire basement and adjoinging rooms, infecting the paneling, ceiling tiles, etc. Before calling Don I had three other mold remediation companies in for assessments and estimates. Each company confirmed that the mold was spread all over and the basement needed a fair amount of demolition. I only received an estimate from one of the three. The company I received the estimate from (they are also on Angies List, BTW) seemed like they knew what they were doing but I was left with the feeling that the remediators were (nice enough) young guys who merely worked for a company rather than truly understanding the mold problem.
I have to say this mold problem was the reason I joined Angies List, because I was so disheartened with what I saw in terms of professionalism and knowledge of the business. I saw Air Tech Environmental was #1 on Angies List and gave it a shot and called Don. When I first explained the situation in the basement, he was on the phone with me for roughly 20 minutes telling me all about mold; why it grows, how it grows, and how to control it. I learned so much talking to him that even before he came for the estimate I was confident I would hire him. He came the following week and did not disappoint. He provided me with a clear, consise estimate that detailed every inch of the basement. He told me what to do in terms of cleaning my stuff in the basement. He told me how to prevent future mold by running dehumidifiers and told me how to run them, where to put them, for how long, etc. Also, Don's estimate came in UNDER the original quote I received from the first company. I was totally shocked and elated.
The remediation went extremely well. The job was completed in the alloted time and the remediators cleaned up beautifully when they were done even though the dumpster was in a carport somewhat far from my house. There was not one scrap of anything anywhere and the whole area was swept and totally cleaned up despite having been gutted. In fact, we had an ugly hole in the drywall of our laundry room where a plummer blasted through to get to a leaking pipe. The remediator cleaned up the hole and made it a nice, neat square that literally looks 1000xs better. This is the type of company you are dealing with in Air Tech Enviromental. Class act, all of the way, exhibiting the utmost professionalism, knowledgability and honesty. The best company we have ever dealt with, for any reason, hands down. HIGHLY recommend!

It was certainly a pleasure dealing with "Sweet Success".   Chris and his crew were the essence of professionalism from the moment he walked in the door to give us an estimate to the final clean up. He will be our first choice for whatever project we may have in the future.

John was proactive and responsive to my request for service.  He returned my call promptly and service was scheduled quickly. Chris and his team were fast, efficient and very professional.  They arrived in the morning and had everything finished by 3:00pm.  They located the source of the water problem and installed a new pumping system.  I feel more secure about finishing the basement now that the water problem is resolved.

Upon discovering surface mold on our basement walls, we spoke with Lloyd at Metro Restoration who came out and provided a visual survey and  estimate for remediation work. He was very punctual, attentive and  answered questions readily. Charge for the visual survey was $150, which was applicable toward any services. We chose Metro for the job and the two gentlemen who did the work were very efficient and thorough. Metro provided a 1 year warranty of the remediation.

Around the end of 2012, my main sewer line had backed up and overflowed into my basement. My laundry room, furnace room, and garage were all partially flooded with raw sewage. I was recommended to Cleanup Fire and Water by a plumber who had dealt with the company previously. Seeing as the job had to be done as soon as humanly possible, I gave them a call. That night, around 9 o'clock, an employee named Wes pulled into my driveway to estimate the job. I was fairly surprised at how fast he was able to be there, seeing as I had only called him 4 hours prior to him arriving at my house (after hours, as well).
Wes came in and explained how I should go about handling this through my insurance company. The actual job was around $4500, although Wes explained that homeowner's insurance would cover the entire job (minus my deductible), so I ended up paying $500 out of pocket. A day later, after filing a claim with my homeowner's insurance, I gave Wes a call back to green light the job. His crew was able to come in the next day and clean up the mess. Once again, I was surprised at how fast the entire job was completed.
Another thing that really stood out to me was the fact that the company didn't merely clean up the sewage - they went above and beyond to remove an entire furnace room of asbestos tile, as well as a laundry room that was partially covered. As Wes had explained to me - the only way to properly clean up sewage from under the tiles was to rip them up completely, clean and treat the bare floor, and then seal the entire surface with paint (seeing as it was asbestos tile). The finished product looked great. After all was said and done, the basement actually looked better than it did before the sewer had backed up.
I couldn't have been happier with the quality of service I received from Cleanup Fire and Water. They were extremely fast, extremely punctual, and made the entire process very straight-forward and easy to understand. Any questions of mine were answered, and the entire ordeal was said and done quicker than I expected. I would definitely recommend Cleanup Fire and Water to anyone in need of clean up services.
