    It was terrible. They installed my windshield and the plastic insert molding snapped and it took almost a month to get it back and constant calls finding out where is the piece, why can't I have it. It was a thing where they ordered the piece and they had to get it painted to match the car. It could have been that they had a problem with the dealership about getting to it but as a customer I felt that they should have let me know what the situation was and not me call them all the time. It had to get back to national and then they had to call it back and then get the regional involved. I wouldn't go there again. They need to straighten up their lower management aspects if there's a problem and take care of customer relations.

    It went great. The work was perfect and he kept me abreast of everything frequently. He sent me pictures of every step and walked me through the bill and charged hours. A consummate professional!

    Our car was towed to Vince's within a few hours of their stating that it would be OK for a while.  They decided that the problem (the crankshaft) could be fixed in 7 to 10 business days.  They had to be called for updates - they were never forthcoming with any information.  When called, we got the old standby, "...they sent the wrong parts,"  and "we're working on it."  ONE MONTH LATER, after several calls, they said the car would be ready for pickup that afternoon.  We arrived to pick it up and they were still messing around with it and so we waited over two hours while they appeared to make a show of things.  They said they had to replace the engine but they couldn't pinpoint why it stutters and nearly stalls at certain RPM's.  They said it would run and they would get on the internet to find other mechanics who were familiar with this problem and get back to us about fixing it properly.  One would think they'd acknowledge a problem after supposedly working on it for a month.  It is now ANOTHER MONTH LATER and they still haven't contacted us about correcting the problem.  Had they been forthcoming or honest about the situation, it would have been a lot easier to bear.  Their indifference and lack of honest communication caused us many problems not least of which is an improperly repaired vehicle.  Our veteran son uses this vehicle to get to and from work and we had to do a lot of scrambling and go to a lot of expense for alternate transportation while waiting for the repair to be completed.  It would have been nice if they had at least offered a loaner vehicle.

    Their prices are fair compared to others.  The people there are very honest with you and do no give you the run around. They do not try to sell you unnecessary services. It is like I am talking to a family member rather than someone taking my money. They also do a great job on the cars.

    Based on proximity to our home and past experiences which were satisfactory an appointment was made several days in advance to check the brakes which were making a strange grinding noise.  The appointment was made for 8:00 am.  The car was dropped off and they said they would call us when they took a look.  Since we had a number of errands to do we finally called them at 12:15 pm and they stated they hadn't even looked at it yet (!)  At that time they said they would call around 1:00 pm.  It was explained to them that we wouldn't be able to pick it up after 2:00 pm and they did offer to send someone to pick me up when the car was done (we didn't know it would take them until closing time to finish the job.)  They didn't call until after 3:00 pm and we gave the OK to proceed with the work.  No explanations and no apologies were given.  By this time, all of our plans for the day had to be scrapped.  They close at 6:00 pm so we called at 5:50 pm to check the status and they said they were just finishing up.  When we arrived to retrieve the car there were no explanations or apologies for taking nearly 10 hours to complete the job.  The car had greasy marks on the door and the hubcaps were not put back properly - we had to pound them back in when we got home.  A simple phone call or even a half-baked apology would have gone a long way towards generating good will and some measure of customer satisfaction.

    I have been going to Taikoson for six years now. The guys who work there are always professional and don't try and charge me for things that don't need to be fixed on my car. Since I know next to nothing about cars it is important for me that I have a mechanic I can trust. Not only do Danny and Wolf only fix what needs to be fixed on my car, they will work to find the most affordable parts to do the job. I no longer live in Greensburg but I still take my car to them because I trust them.

    The quality of what they seem to do is pretty good in my estimation. I'm not an auto-mechanic, but anytime I've ever taken my car there for other things they have always given me a pretty good idea of what's wrong and what needs to be fixed. A couple of times I've taken it there and they said there is nothing wrong. I thought there was something wrong and they said, "No, everything is okay", so my experience has been pretty positive with that. They are not the cheapest place around. There are other places that I can get things done cheaper, but if I want a quality done I'll go there. Anytime I've ever had any questions either on the phone or in person I will go and talk to them and they have always been responsive and they have always given me a straight answer. They only thing that they don't do is that they don't take appointments; it's first come and first serve, but if you tell them you are waiting and you got in early enough they get done pretty quickly.

    Jim and Mike are fabulous! As a woman, I hate having to have my vehicles fixed. I don't know anything and feel at an extreme disadvantage. Also, I don't want to know all the details. I just want it fixed, and fast. That's what the guys at Monroe do. They take good care of me, don't charge and arm and a leg, They are friendly and easy to deal with and they don't talk down to me. I like them, trust them, and go to them for everything I can. They're great!

    I checked Angie's List, & saw that Oakmont Automative got high ratings so I called to schedule an appointment. (I called on a Wednesday, & got an appt for Saturday.)  When I had to reschedule the appointment the following day (a Thursday), it was no problem even though I rescheduled it for the very next day (a Friday). I was surprised I could get my car in there so quickly.
    That next day, I dropped off my car, & went home (someone picked me up because one mechanic had called off, & Chuck was working on another car. It was no problem; I live about 4-5 miles away.)
    Chuck said it would take about 2.5 hours, & he would call me if he needed to do any work other than what I had scheduled. He did call to tell me the rear wheels were also out of alignment, & that I should get an oil change as well. I told him to do that work, too.
    When my car was ready, I didn't have a ride back to Oakmont Automotive, so Chuck's wife picked me up at my house while she was out doing errands. I had a great time talking with her. She told me if I had any problems with my car that I shouldn't hesitate to call her husband.
    As I was paying my bill, Chuck talked with me about my car. He told me that he checked, & topped off all fluids, & also reminded me about the free tire rotations he offers for the tires I purchased there. The rotations are needed for the tire warranty.
    My car felt soooo good as I drove home. What was even better was that I felt I finally found an auto mechanic that I could trust. I will definitely go back for other work that I need.
    I've passed this place on my way to work for years, but never knew it would be the place where I would find a mechanic who I know would treat me kindly & professionally, & would treat my car as if it was his own.

    Jeff and his crew are professional and perform great work at a reasonable cost. They spend much time informing the "auto-illiterate" among us of their findings and the needed repairs. I feel that their opinions are guided more by their desire to do a great job than trying to make as much money as possible from a unsuspecting public. I trust Jeff, Jim, and his crew to be honest and forthcoming with me concerning my repairs, and I would recommend him to anyone who's suffering through the cut-throat businesses out there.
