  • Computer would turn on but would not go to the Windows screen and would not open in the safe mode. Took my computer to AAA computers yesterday (1-19-16) at approximately 2;30pm and was told that someone would look at the computer tomorrow and get back to me. Today (1-20-16) at approx 10AM I received a phone call from a gentleman stating that he looked at my computer and ran some test. That the problem was my power box. He stated looks like a power serge. He quoted me a price. I also asked him to see if any up grades were available to upgrade the computer and he said he checked it all out and I am fine. Also did a virus check and all was good. He then said the computer was available to be picked up at around 3PM. And I said today and he said yes. Wow I was shocked and said OK. I arrived at 2:30pm and the computer was ready. He took the time to explain that there was a power serge and he explained different things that could have caused it. Example a hair dryer, a electric heater plug in the same electric circuit as the computer. And dam didn't I have those things plug in with the computer. I learned a lesson there today. Also the owner son who is the repair person could have sold me things that I didn't need. He said all is fine and stay with what you have. Don't waste your money. Boy this is the first time that someone didn't want to sell you something. I was really impressed with his knowledge, honesty and the cost of the of the part and its replacement and checking for viruses. I will defiantly go back and have all of my computer relate issues and repairs done there.

  • We have previously used Compusolve to diagnose and repair various problems over the years with several of our computers, and we had no reason to expect any different outcome. Unfortunately when a company grows larger, as in Compusolve's case, some things such as customer service and attention to detail fall by the way-side...
    We were having a problem with the OS on our Windows PC, and I contacted Compusolve to send a technician to diagnose and repair the problem. The tech who was sent was a familiar face since he'd been someone with whom we had worked with before. He was, as always, courteous and friendly; He asked a few questions and he set about repairing the issue. After several hours, he said that we shouldn't have any more problems, we paid him and he left. The very next day, upon machine start-up, the problem had reoccured, but my wife didn't mention it to me until the next day. I called Compusolve, explained the problem, and they said they would send another technician. After he arrived, and we told him what the problem was, he said that it was likely a hardware issue and the machine would need to be taken back to their shop to be diagnosed further. We asked him if it were likely that the problem had been hardware related from the beginning and he said "yes", which made us wonder why the original tech claimed to have repaired something that wasn't in fact repairable on-site.  So, essentially I paid $160+ for nothing for the first visit, and then to compound the problem, the second tech insisted that I pay a $50 diagnostic fee. When I told him I was told that their work was guaranteed, they claimed that service charges are always charged even to diagnose a previously (but incorrectly) diadnosed and alledgedly repaired item. So essentially I paid $220 for Compusolve to waste 3 hours of my time and not repair my computer.
    I may have used them in the past but based on this episode, very unlikely I will ever, use them again...

  • I called the number for immediate support and got Anthony on the phone.  I asked him if he was familiar with my program (Outlook 2003) and he said he definitely was.  
    To be honest, I was impressed with the number of recommendations he had on Angie's List and that certainly caught my eye; but i did ask him what happens to the fee I am paying up front if he could not fix the problem?  He said not to worry about that and that my problem would be fixed, and fixed tonight!
    He logged into my computer. I watched him do his work and he would call me from time to time asking what was important to me within the program so that he could be careful not to disrupt my business by deleting anything important.
    Anthony identified the problem, I happily watched as all my e-mails began appearing and he did what he said he would do in the time frame he said he would do it in.
    Not only that, but he gave me guidance on how to improve the performance of my Outlook program to avoid big problems down the road based on the way I was managing my records.
    He is in Ohio and I am in Pennsylvania.  Unless I have a hardware issue where I can't get on to the internet for him or someone in his company to help me, he is my new go to computer guy!

  • I contacted A and A Computers late in the day on 11/24/14 inquiring if they performed in-house services for a commercial Dell Color Laser Printer. I was told that this would not be a problem but was told that the printer guy had left for the day and that I would be contacted the following morning to set an appointment.
    I gave extra consideration to this business as it is part of the same neighborhood that I reside in and only a 1/2 mile or so from my location. I did not received a return call on the 25th or the 26th and consider this inappropriate behavior for a business. Had I known that A and A Computers was not interested in my commercial printer repair I could have been on the phone calling other service technicians and getting the needed repairs.
    What a waste of time.

  • I probably shouldn't say this but he diagnosed my computer for over two hours and wouldn't take a dime.  He said they offer free diagnostic and they honor their word. 

    They really take their free diagnostic to the extreme, I will go back there again once I am ready to have the work done he recommends.

  • Went to pick up my computer and spoke to Jim, the owner.  He said he had hooked up his equipment and fixed the startup program.  Took him a short time and he had booted the system over and over to make sure it was fixed.  He said it took so little time that he wouldn't charge me.  He could have charged me whatever he wanted but didn't take advantage of me.  Hard to find a competent and honest computer repair service.  I highly recommend this company for your computer problems.

  • Since I had used Compusolve in the past, I called them yesterday evening about fixing an issue I had with my 2 computers. Most companies have limited office hours but the Compusolve people are there every day of the week to answer the phone and set up appointments... that in and of itself, is a great thing! They picked up after the 2nd ring, listened to my concerns and promptly set-up an appointment for one their techs (Ross) to come out the very next day (today). At the appointed time, I got a polite phone call saying that he was running a little late but he would be here within a 20 minute window... and he was! He listened to my problems and then proceeded to fix them... Ross was very efficient and professional; knew the intricacies of both the Windows computer as well as the Mac. I would not hesitate to use them again.
