The installation team was very professional, keeping me up-to-date on their progress and completing the work in one day. I was especially impressed with the cleanup effort after the work was done. AMeredith Home ImprovementThey weren't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. But they did provide good value for the money. They worked with us, explaining all the options and what they would do. Once everything was signed, they were able to come out quicker than I'd expected. They found unexpected problems with the wood underneath and were able to fix those as well. Finally, they put in a lot of time cleaning up all the debris created. I don't know if I'll ever need another roof replaced, but I'll definitely call them if I do.- Austin C.

FCompany initially agreed to come out and provide estimate. I made them aware during the initial call that I have underlying health conditions that prevent me from allowing anyone in our home during Covid. I specifically stated that all that is required is the estimate with documentation of services provided as I have other estimates and familiar with the products to be used. They agreed to those terms. They called back the day before the visit and said it doesn't suit there needs because they couldn't come in the home to provide the 90 minutes presentation.

DThe gentleman showed up and you could tell right away he wasn't going to do the job. Instead of just saying so. He asked what needed done and I told him. He acted like he measured the steps that needs redone. It was a quick pull out the measuring tape and just tell me a number type of deal. Said he could do it. Measured the width thats it. I told him about the fence. You could tell right then and there he wasn't going to do the job. He didn't take measurements, didn't ask what type of fence, nor asked about what kind or how many gates I would like. Just said yes I could do it. He asked about the roof. He measure half assed. Then that was that. He said he would email me in a couple days and give me a price. That was over a week ago and nothing. No response. He didn't even measure the fence or anything. Figured he thought I didn't have the money and took off. I seen good ratings and tried to the company a try. Hopefully he's better with other customers. Shame people judge a book by its cover. Could of got a lot of work out of me.

DKevin, the estimation contractor, was thorough and fair in his assessment of costs. There was a $1000 cost overrun, but was a little pricey, but overall, fair. I would be more precise next time in the contract about cost overruns. Next, the project took over two weeks--but it occurred over the holidays and was hampered by bad weather. The roof work was inspiring. The best. The gutter work was ordinary, and, in truth, in the future, I would recommend contracting with a dedicated gutter installation company. The work was not performed by Sean--whom I preferred--but Donny and his crew did a good job. What is most impressive about this company, and its work, is that it absolutely, in a timely way, honors its commitment. So, absolutely, I would use Empire Contractors, with a few minor caveats.

FWanted to hire and support local small business. It took almost two months to get owner to come to our home to assess the work even though he is located literally less than 2 miles from our home. When he finally showed up to do an assessment, he refused to wear a mask to enter our home. We are elderly with underlying conditions and he failed to mention he had a no mask policy, even with Covid cases on the rise. He said he would not take the job. This is totally unprofessional and we should have sought out another roofer instead of wasting two months to have a leak repaired. Total lack of concern for his customers and CDC guidelines for Covid 19.
