AChris Jackson's ContractingOver a year ago, I wanted to install a washer and dryer upstairs in my bathroom. The job required a 220 and 110 electrical line and new plumping. I had 3 contractors come to my house to ***** the job. For various reasons, each contractor said the job couldn't be done and recommended the washer and dryer be placed in the basement. I didn't give up. I searched and searched the internet until Angie's List recommended several names. I went with Handyman Chris Jackson. I sat down with Chris and explained my frustration and intentions. He listened, explained what he could do and gave me a very good price. In addition to major work in the bathroom, he also completed 13 other jobs around the house. The entire job was completed in a week. Everything that I imagined turned out absolutely outstanding. I am truly impressed with Chris' professionalism, knowledge, work ethic, and ability to envision what I wanted without trying to dissuade me. His crew was very polite and skillful. I am fortunate and grateful in acquiring Chris. I'm planning on hiring him in the spring and would recommend him to anyone. This old house will never be the same thanks to Chris Jackson!- Dolores P.

ATri County KitchensThe kitchen in my 110+ year old house was small and difficult, with multiple doors and windows below countertop height. I went with Tri County Kitchens as they specialize in difficult kitchens. Todd (the owner) worked with me as I didn't want to change wide woodwork or expand the space. He came up with a very usable design. His installation crew was prompt, polite and very meticulous. There was a brief delay in finishing due to the pandemic, but that could not be helped. DThe gentleman showed up and you could tell right away he wasn't going to do the job. Instead of just saying so. He asked what needed done and I told him. He acted like he measured the steps that needs redone. It was a quick pull out the measuring tape and just tell me a number type of deal. Said he could do it. Measured the width thats it. I told him about the fence. You could tell right then and there he wasn't going to do the job. He didn't take measurements, didn't ask what type of fence, nor asked about what kind or how many gates I would like. Just said yes I could do it. He asked about the roof. He measure half assed. Then that was that. He said he would email me in a couple days and give me a price. That was over a week ago and nothing. No response. He didn't even measure the fence or anything. Figured he thought I didn't have the money and took off. I seen good ratings and tried to the company a try. Hopefully he's better with other customers. Shame people judge a book by its cover. Could of got a lot of work out of me.

I have been doing complete renovation of homes for 6 years and will definitely be able to help you with your home. We offer free estimates for up to a 30 minute radius.

AWe hired Mike Goetz and crew to tear down our old deck and have a new one built (25x14 ). Mike agreed to a fair estimate during these Covid -19 times. The work was to start in Dec as per contract. The work started on time and a team of 4 workers worked diligently every day for about 9 days, never wasted any time, promptly showed up at 8:00 am every day, and left around 4:30 pm. The crew worked hard to meet the requirements of the Borough of Franklin Park and maintain safety standards. Truly a committed team. We are very happy with our deck it looks beautiful all the colors and materials selected blended well with our home. GREAT WORK, GREAT TEAM!

AThis was the second time we hired Willis. He did such a nice job on our kitchen three years ago, so we did not hesitate to hire him again. The job is done and we are very pleased with the results. We started with just a shower. We wanted to make it bigger and use the extra space we had. But we ended up remodeling the entire bathroom: bathtub, new sinks, painting. Willis was very patient with us and as always offered very nice ideas. It felt like he knew better than we did what we wanted our bathroom to look like. What was really nice is that he and his crew always cleaned up after they finish their work. This was very important to us as we have kids and they are all over the place. Given all the circumstances, the remodeling took much longer than we expected it to be, but we were willing to wait. It takes time to do the job properly.

AWe first Hired NSKD to do design work for a major remodel of our kitchen. We were really looking for ideas at that time, as we knew we wanted to refresh the kitchen and change the layout in a major way. Paula and Sara patiently worked with us through possible layouts and options – maybe as high as 10 different potential options. Once we chose a few options and started to consider the details and costs of the finalists we did decide on a layout, and refined it slightly more based upon cost and on some dimensional challenges. North Shore ended up with the remodel contract and used Elite Construction to do the work. They were both professional, attentive to detail and timely in their responses. The project finished in what both said was the most aggressive time they could hit - ahead of the expected time and in time for us to host a family Christmas gathering. Scope of the job included gutting the kitchen; removing a 45 degree corner to open up the kitchen; shortening a wall between the kitchen/family room; running the same tile flooring through both rooms; adding to the electric box; replacing a hot water tank; and in the kitchen implementing a new layout while replacing all cabinetry, plumbing, electric, lighting, countertops/backsplash and appliances. We have been using the kitchen now for two months, and could not be happier with the finished product.
