  • Electrician worked at a good pace all day in spite of near 90 degree day. Systematically removed all old equipment, mounted the new equipment and rewired all the existing circuits from my 2 old distribution panels.

  • Jon came to our house on time & was able to diagnose the problem in just a few minutes. He went through everything with my wife & was very professional plus efficient. I would recommend CW Electrical Services & will use them again! We had this issue back in October & I am just posting this again since my first go around did not upload for some reason, I believe as well.

  • At the end of February, Jason Lapay, the owner of the company came to discuss our issues and preferences.  He looked over the space and took measurements.  Because of the bad weather the start of our project was delayed but Jason's wife told us that there were a few projects ahead of ours and the start date was forthcoming.  We were satisfied with that especially because we knew that when the company moved our toilet and waste pipe, some work needed to be done outside.  For all of Febuary and March it would have been impossible to do that.

Our project isn't completed yet, but so far things are going well.  Jason has been here more than any other employees and he and the other two men that were here (Mike and Justin) were hard-working, polite, friendly and they were careful to clean up at the end of each day.

The first week consisted of tearing out the old bathroom fixtures, walls, floors etc down to the studs.  Mike, the demolition guy, carefully took out each section of wall and each fixture as he removed it, so there wasn't a heap of debris laying around

Next they re-framed the walls, floors and ceiling.  After that came the plumbing-- new water lines were installed, then the sewage lines were moved and re-installed in their new location.  (when they put in new plumbing, it was also necessary to make adjustments to the water and sewage lines in the laundry because that was the room from which we borrowed the extra space for the bathroom).

Our bathroom still had the old aluminum wiring-- that had to be removed and new wiring was installed to put in to add lighting and extra sockets in the new bathroom.  The rest of week two consisted of shoring up the floor to make it stiff enough for the new porcelain tile floor,  putting up plaster board and the extruded polystyrene back board for the shower walls.  And last the shower floor was formed from cement to shape the floor for proper draining.

Today was the first day of week three and Jason installed the new tile on the shower walls and also installed the heat tape for our heated floors.  Our new shower is going to be BEAUTIFUL.

Jason and a few of his employees that came here didn't spend an 8 hour day here because it doesn't always make sense to do that.  The guy that did the demolition worked until that job was completed and when it was finished he left.  Then Jason came in the next day to frame what would become our new bathroom.  That isn't as cut and dried as it sounds because he has to make sure the measurements meet code and that the measurements we'd allotted were adequate for what we were trying to accomplish.  In some cases,  we were working with a little less space than we thought we'd have, so adjustments had to be made to the plan.  In each case, Jason communicated what he was doing and why he was doing it and it all made good sense.

While installing the plumbing, Jason found that there wasn't room enough for the water and sewer lines to come in from the rear of the bathroom vanity, it had to come in from the side.  Therefore we had to scratch the vanity we'd chosen and go back to square one to find another.  Since the second one we chose cost twice what the first one did, we were fine with paying for the second vanity ourselves because we couldn't expect Jason to foot the bill for an item that cost more than the one  budgeted for in the initial estimate.  A shower door we had our eyes on was beautiful but it was too tall to fit our space and couldn't have been cut down.

Having a contractor come in for a remodeling job is new for us.  My husband has always handled the remodeling in the past, so we weren't sure what to expect.  We have complete confidence in Jason Lapay.  He is great to work with and wonderful about explaining what he's doing and why he's doing it along the way.  That communication is great for easing what could be a very anxiety arousing experience.

Our project is in the home stretch now and we can't wait to send pictures of what it looks like when its completed!  We'd hire Jason Lapay again in a heartbeat!

  • Called Mister Sparky after hearing on the radio they were very great on the phone scheldued me in same day which was very surprising to me. They arrived and looked at everything that needed done and quoted me a price. They explained everything showed me what the work to be done was and what to expect. Price was all in a book which was very impressive and easy to understand. After signing all the paperwork the electrician starting removing the old equipment within the hour another electrician arrived to assist they worked very fast and professional the whole time. After the work was completed they marked the panel box showed me everything about the surge protector and how it works. They gave me a lifetime warranty on the complete system which was so impressive. They also gave me a free one year maintenance agreement for my house. Super professional company and the guys are so great to deal with. Thank you for everything.

  • Both jobs were done quickly in about a half hour and at a fair price. The service call was $70 and there was a $10 discount for being an Angie's List member. I would suggest that anybody  that needs an electrician not use a contractor with a one page ad in the phone book. Contrary to the TV commercial, bigger is not always better! I am happy that I found Bob Weidner on Angie's List.

  • I called them the next day, April 18, 2013 and they stated that the technician could not find my house. Whenever I made the appointment I gave explicit instructions that the GPS must be entered for a different town. I asked why they did not call me and she said they did multiple times; she wrote the wrong telephone number down initially. Several years ago I used this company to install a heater in a bathroom and install a light fixture in the kitchen. Two technicians came. The one tech was putting the heater in upside down and the other tech could not figure out how to put the glass shades on the light. I had to keep running back and forth between dumb and dumber. I thought I would give them another chance because they probably have many techs and their location is close. It appears that those that answer the phone to make appointments are not very attentive to details that are important. I should have checked Angies List first!

  • Excellent. Initially Chris came and fixed a switch that had short circuited, almost causing a fire. He then provided us with an estimate to update the circuits in our kitchen. We could not use our microwave and our toaster at the same time without throwing a breaker. Chris and his son Chris ran new circuits for our kitchen, installed a ceiling fan and box and rewired a three way switch. They placed a cloth over our hardwood floor to protect it from the snow on their boots. They vacuumed and removed any debris from their work. Chris and Chris were on time, honest, hard working and neat. We plan to hire them again.

  • Very efficient and willing to explain what he was about to do. Willing to accommodate my ideas on how I would like to run the wiring.
    - FRANK P.
