  • I had actually contracted with another builder in late summer to do this work but he didn't even apply for the building permit for 6 weeks. So I fired him. I called Tony in November about doing the job. We discussed the project and he got back to me promptly with and estimate. Now it's December and we're worrying about the weather. Tony said we needed to hustle to get the footers and foundation in before the temps got too cold. He quickly filed the permit application and we waited 2 weeks for the township approval. When I got the call from the township I immediately called Tony to let him know. Within about 2 days Tony had his excavator there and was digging the hole. His guys got the footers and foundation in on about Dec 23. He even paid the concrete company driver and extra $100 to leave his company Christmas party to come out and deliver the concrete. Right after that the temps got really cold. Too cold to do the foundation so Tony's foresight and smart planning got it in before the weather. After that he had his guys out on the job whenever the weather permitted. In the end we had a sunroom addition with basement, deck, new sliding door to existing basement, new windows on back of house, new siding on back of house and new storm door on front of house. His guys are very good, especially his carpenters. Everyone was pleasant, polite and cleaned up after themselves. This project was done during the winter so it took longer then expected due to working around the weather. And as is with any major renovation there were some headaches. There's always some dust and dirt, workers coming and going and noise. But that's how it is and should be expected. We also made some adjustments to our plans as we went and Tony was very accommodating and had some suggestions and advise which turned out to be right on. He and his guys try very hard to make the homeowner happy. We love our new addition and couldn't be happier.

  • Called Quality Home Remodeling for an estimated. Told them it was a small job and asked if they were willing to do it. They said they had a lot of jobs in the area and could squeeze it in. We set up an appointment for Tony to come out and look at the job that same day. Fantastic. Got an e-mail shortly after, confirming the 3 o'clock appointment. Got another e-mail reminder at 2:30 saying that Tony would be there between 3-3:30. That was the last I ever heard from Quality Home Remodeling. No show. No call. No nothing. They wanted to make sure I was there for the appointment but maybe they should have sent the appointment reminder to themselves. To Quality Home Remodeling: I just had a new gas furnace, air conditioning and water heater installed in my home. In 2 weeks I'm having new garage doors installed (hence the new aluminum trim around the garage doors), In 3 weeks I have a roofer scheduled to put a new roof on the house. New vinyl siding, family room addition and deck are in the plans. All you had to do was show up and you would have had an opportunity for a whole lot more.

  • "Roof Right" arrived on time and work was completed expeditiously. Two sections of a upper and lower roof were removed because there was no access from the interior, new venting was attached to each vent fan, sheathing replaced, new tar paper installed, vent covers installed, new shingle and zinc strips installed. Trash and debris was removed and work area was checked again to assure that there were no damage to area or missed debris or tools. "Roof Right" workers (estimator and roofers) were timely, courteous, professional and completed the work per the estimate and to our satisfaction.

  • Dan arrived and seemed enthusiastic about the work. Took copious notes and said he would be in contact with an estimate. At about a week before the intended start date we had not heard a thing. I called him to see if he had an estimate prepared. I received a phone call that he was working on it, but at a few days prior I was scrambling to find another contractor and was luckily successful. A few weeks later I ran into Dan in Home Depot and he admitted he missed the opportunity to get us an estimate. Thinking it was a one time experience, we called Dan back to ask if he would replace the door for us because we hadn't gotten it stained in time for the first contractor to complete that portion of the punch list. He AGAIN never returned our calls, but our mutual friend stops by and says he's seen Dan and he's going to be in touch....... we wonder in what month? We have given up on Dr. Dan's Home Repair.

  • The installation of a split rail fence was done satisfactorily with minimal hassle for me. Mike came and gave an estimate. He took care of the local permit and his workers came about a week later while I was at work and completed the job per the quote in one day. One of the workers was unhappy with the gate that they installed, (it was a minor manufacturing defect, I certainly wouldn't have complained) and they replaced it the next day again while I was at work. It was nice not to have to take off of work for this job. The second job required pulling up a few of my deck boards, removing a few pieces of siding, cutting out rotten plywood and replacing with new plywood, flashing the previously unflashed areas, reinstalling the siding, and replacing the decking that was removed for the job. The worker came promptly at 7:00 am as promised and did a wonderful job. The worker also repaired a little hole in my roof free of charge that Mike had noticed while giving me the estimate.

  • Don performed considerable extra work that was not quoted and he did not charge any additional funds for the extra work.
The work went very well and the back deck looks brand new.
