DJoseph C Hazel IncThis is one of the most reliable plumbing outfits in the area. They answer immediately, and will send people on weekends. They have saved our skins a couple of times since we have an inadequate drain line that clogs periodically, usually on holidays. However, the last time I called it was for an unusual problem-- kitchen faucet was clogged-- which I suspected came from a new tankless water heater we just installed a few months ago. True to past performance, they got someone to the house quite quickly, quicker than anyone else in the area. Tech cleaned a faucet and shower traps of mineral sediment, confirmed it looked like mineral deposit. 15 minute visit. Problem persisted-- faucet clogged in two days-- so I called again. I said the problem was ongoing, and they said they would send another tech, and her exact words were "I won't charge you." They sent someone else, who cleaned the traps and looked at the heater. He said electric tankless heaters don't do well with hard water, gave me an idea about a water softener costs, left. I got a bill for $190: they had charged me for two separate visits. When I called to ask about this, they got quite defensive. They demanded the name of the person to whom I had spoken (I don't take such records as a habit, preferring to trust the word of small businesses, plus as far as I can recall she didn't identify herself), and then they informed me that they charge for service calls no matter what. I said that's not what their scheduler had told me: return visits for the same problem? Yes. Attendant got quite defensive and told me to just "pay for the one visit" but that my "account would be flagged" and hung up on me. I am assuming this means my business is no longer welcome there. I will pay the full bill for both visits, since I have nothing in writing to support my position, no estimate, no phone recording, just the bill, so I suppose it's my mistake for taking verbal assurance over written documentation to something that seems common sense and common courtesy. I but will share this customer service experience with anyone who asks about plumbers in the area. Good, responsive plumbers; uncalled for, aggressive customer service.- John O.

AResidential Essentials by Gary MillerGary remodeled multiple bathrooms for our remodel of an 1899 house. Although Gary was only contracted to support the bathrooms remodels, he also took care of the multiple other jobs. Gary brings a great craftsmanship to the project and has artistic perspective that help make the project flow and support in progress decisions. Gary took care of everything in the bathroom including carpentry, tilework, electric and plumbing. Also Gary took care of numerous odd cleanup jobs from other contractors (drywell finishing, wire pulling. ). Looking forward to using Gary in the future.- PHIL B.

AH L BowmanThere is not much to tell other than it was a no nonsense deal. They told me up front the costs per time that they would spend on the job. My son was home at the time. They told him the best case and worst case scenario. In the end everything was exactly what they said. I believe the price is very reasonable. They are honest will get done what you need done. I paid over the phone. The lady in the office was very customer oriented and very nice. Give her a raise guys....maybe she owns the company? I was very pleased and will call on them again. I called late in the afternoon Monday and they were there Tuesday morning.- Stephen M.

AColeman's Plumbing IncMark was very professional, and actually made it to the house a little earlier than he originally estimated. He wore shoe covers inside the house, which impressed my mother substantially. Although he had spent considerable time fighting traffic and diagnosing the problem, he did not charge at all for the visit. We will be hiring him to replace the toilet and do some other work in the near future.- Deborah W.

Joe and his crew were professional and really cared about the quality of work they were doing on the job. Joe would even give you suggestions on how to keep the budget at a reasonable cost, instead of trying to increase the cost. I finally met a professional who actually worked with the customer and had the customer as his first priority. i loved his quality of work so much that I hired him to remodel my bathroom as our next project. i would highly recommend J D Construction and Remodeling for your next house project! AResidential Essentials by Gary MillerI called 4 different plumbers in the area, knowing that I'd probably pay through the nose for an emergency call right before Christmas, but didn't have any choice. Gary is the only one that actually answered my call and said he could stop by. He already had a job, but changed up his schedule to help us out. He got a replacement shower head and nozzle that night, and stopped by Wednesday morning. Despite several problems due to the plumbing in the bathroom dating back to 1979 when the house was built, he got everything replaced in about 4 hours. When he turned the water back on afterward, there was no leaking, no drips, no broken tub or anything. Everything worked perfectly the first try, which has been very rare for us in this house. He also gave me some good advice on the other plumbing-related issues we've had, and offered to stop back whenever we want to fix up the other small random drips and leaks we have. In the end, we got the shower head, the tub faucet, and the temperature/water control knob replaced, and it didn't ruin Christmas for us. We also found our new plumber. We're definitely going to be calling him back after the New Year to look at the other issues we have and get them fixed.- Shannon J.

ABread actually showed up before lunch time, inspected the situation and discovered a cracked valve. He did not have the part in his can do he drove to BiLo for the part. I drained the water lines while he was gone. Brad returned, cut the damaged portion, replaced and welded in the the new valve and cleaned up after himself. Very courteous and knowledgeable. He is on our "gotta call" list when it comes to plumbing.

AThe owner definitely knows the business. Dealt well with various crews and suppliers. Unlike companies that only sell flooring, Jr's installed a sturdy and quite subfloor. And their salesman Bill, certainly worked to find the exact LVT I wanted. As most construction projects go, it took longer than planned, mostly due to the LVT supplier. Jr's and his outside contractors really worked with me to get the results I wanted. My only complaint is I wish it cost less, but you get what you pay for.

FI had used this company successfully 4 times in the past. This time I requested a quote online as always. The response came back from a company named Professional Auto Shippers with the same phone number as Executive Auto Shippers. They sent me a price and we set the first day of pickup as May 20. Understanding the 3 day pickup window, I got concerned late on the 21st. On a phone conversation I was promised someone would call me before the end of the day. That did not happen. The next day I called at about 10 AM because we had a 2 PM flight to return to Illinois. No answer or call back. We got in the car and made the drive back in 2 days. This morning I received information from the company and a truck driver that our car would be picked up sometime today, 7 days after the first pickup date. I told the driver we had already driven the car to Illinois. I doing a little research I learned apparently this company operates under several separate names, although the phone numbers are the same and the contact person, Ray Rodriguez is the same.
