    Cole's K-9 Center
Cole's K-9 Center is excellent. I tried several in the area, but I chose Cole's K-9 Center over them. I used them quite a bit. There price was competitive. They professionalism is excellent. I moved away from the area so I will not use them again.

    Mt Nittany Veterinary Hospital
Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital You can expect them to do a good job. They do what you want. The veterinarian is there for you if you need him. I have them do the puppy cut, same length all over for the most part. Definitely my poodle she gets the same length. They try to give her more of a poodle cut which I call it a helmet cut. They look absolutely ridiculous. So I discourage them from doing it. I request the shampoo that doesn't smell as strong that isn't very fragrant. They are most of the time receptive. occasionally they forget the the poodle comes back with helmet hair. I see Dr. Eddy and he is fabulous. She is also direct and straight forward, she tells you exactly what she thinks and will give you specific recommendations. I appreciate that. She eliminates a lot of the guess work, should I do this, should I do that. How serious is it? She is much more specific than other veterinarians. My pets do really well, one other thing that I really like about Dr. Eddy is that she'll take a few extra moments out of her day to call you and update you rather than text you. And even if I am there for something else and she gets the sight of me or my dog who is a high maintenance dog with a lot of health issues, she will come by and take a look and she will say how are those eyes doing, let me take a look. So I feel she takes a few extra steps to make sure the dogs are well taken care of and I appreciate that extra.

    JULIE'S K-9 KUTS
Had apt for 11:00 and when I walked in they were ready to take her back for her bath. Very friendly and prompt. So kind and gentle to my girl Gizmo. She looks so beautiful when I pick her up and she is not afraid of them. So very gentle with all the animals.

    PETCO
Rachel, the groomer at Petco always does a great job, but besides my Giant Schnauzer looking great Rachel's connection with animals prevails. Rachel takes her time speaking to the dog when they enter. She listens and adheres to specific grooming expectations and request. Most of all when a dog is happy to see the groomer and willing goes with her, this speaks for itself.

    JULIE'S K-9 KUTS
Two of our cats stay indoors and their grooming is not difficult. The third and oldest cat likes to go outside and roll in the dirt beneath the pine trees.  The pine pitch, along with anything else on the ground,  got into his fur.  The fur gradually began to mat.  I could not locate anyone in the immediate  area who grooms cats.  As time went on, the mats became so bad, the comb and brush were useless.      I finally found Julie's K-9 Kuts on Angie's List.  The business was located 29 miles from our home and we were not looking forward to driving that distance with a meowing cat.   But a groomer was needed.  So, based on the business profile and reassuring reviews,  we decided to call Julie.       We received a warm welcome  even though we arrived fifteen minutes late for the appointment.  The cat had decided to play hide and seek just as we were ready to leave.  I knew that he would have to be shaved and worried about stressing him out.   I didn't know what to expect  when we picked him up about two hours later.    His body was shaved, but the hair on his head, legs, and end of the tail remained.   He looked great!  One would think I had requested a special cut.  Best of all he didn't appear to be stressed.  He actually seemed to be quite comfortable in the groomer's arms.      The charge was $10 more than the usual fee because the cat was so matted.  We felt that this was more than fair and certainly worth the  drive.  If the need arises, I will call on this groomer again.

    KAREN'S DOG GROOMING
My overall experience with them has been really good. They are very friendly and take care of our dogs very well. We don’t worry about them at all when we are away.

    CoPAW Cabana
I visited this location because I read a good review on Angie's list of it.  I am glad I visited before I took my dog there to be groomed. I am a certified groomer (not in my own business right now), but am unable to groom my dogs due to back injury. I am picky, yet understanding of the challenges of running a pet care business. I phoned ahead and asked if I could check things out.  They were very accommodating.   My immediate first impression was not good.  There was a flood at this location approximately a month prior to my visit and there was a very musty odor that remained.  I was extremely surprised at the condition in which the grooming area was left.  It was not very tidy at all including hair left in the tub.  The groomer had already left, so I did not speak with him/her.  Grooming schools stress sanitation so this seemed unusual.  In addition, the equipment was not up to date.  There were a few cage dryers, but no high velocity dryers (which I believe are necessary to get double coated dogs completely dry).  I personally frown upon cage dryers except in the case of a dog who is incredibly fearful of regular high velocity dryers.  Let me stress that it was clear that the staff with whom I interacted cares for their four-footed clients.  It may be fine for doggie day care, but if you are considering grooming services, check to see that it meets your standards first.
