    STONE VALLEY PET LODGE
My dogs have always been well taken care of every time they have been boarded here. The facilities are clean and the providers appear interested in my animals. The cost has increased significantly though every time we use them and we are now at a point that we will look for alternative kennels. (There is no discount for multiple pets - even though my 2 dogs stay in the same enclosure).

We found a rescue dog out in the woods and drover 2 hours to Halfmoon Vet. They took the dog right in and gave her much needed attention at a reduced rate. The entire staff was so caring and helpful Best Veterinary practice hands down!!!

    Centre Animal Hospital LLC
We had an excellent experience overall; I'll describe it below in tedious detail for anyone who is interested.
We moved here fairly recently, so this was our first wellness exam here. Our dog is prone to breaking his nails, and so we've tried several local vets on a fairly urgent basis (it's not an emergency, but he limps and is uncomfortable). Centre Animal Hospital is the one that is ALWAYS able to see him on short notice, and they have adjusted their approach to the severity of the broken nail. Furthermore, Dr. Michelotti was the first vet who talked reasonably to us about possible causes of the breakage and what we could realistically do to prevent or mitigate them. Since taking his advice we've had fewer problems with this issue.
So our prior experiences with Centre Animal Hospital have been good and thus we naturally chose them when it was time for booster shots and an annual check-up.
My dog is very shy and frightened at the vet's; he's big, so his desire to hunker down behind the furniture can make examinations difficult. The technicians and the vet were GREAT with him. They paid attention to his comfort levels, took the time to get to know him, and even when he relaxed a little they still took it slowly and gently with him. Furthermore, Dr. Porter took ample time to pay attention to ME. He's a perfectly healthy dog, but Dr. Porter listened to my concerns (about diet and dental health) and discussed approaches and solutions with me.
From the moment we walked in the door until the minute we left, every staff member we saw was friendly and cheerful; the ones who performed services for us were efficient also.

The staff did everything they could and refered Bailey to UPENN Vet for MRI and as I said Dr.Miller and his staff did a wonderfull job but as he feared it was a worse case scenario and she had a brain tumor which was inoperable.

    Mt Nittany Veterinary Hospital
Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital You can expect them to do a good job. They do what you want. The veterinarian is there for you if you need him. I have them do the puppy cut, same length all over for the most part. Definitely my poodle she gets the same length. They try to give her more of a poodle cut which I call it a helmet cut. They look absolutely ridiculous. So I discourage them from doing it. I request the shampoo that doesn't smell as strong that isn't very fragrant. They are most of the time receptive. occasionally they forget the the poodle comes back with helmet hair. I see Dr. Eddy and he is fabulous. She is also direct and straight forward, she tells you exactly what she thinks and will give you specific recommendations. I appreciate that. She eliminates a lot of the guess work, should I do this, should I do that. How serious is it? She is much more specific than other veterinarians. My pets do really well, one other thing that I really like about Dr. Eddy is that she'll take a few extra moments out of her day to call you and update you rather than text you. And even if I am there for something else and she gets the sight of me or my dog who is a high maintenance dog with a lot of health issues, she will come by and take a look and she will say how are those eyes doing, let me take a look. So I feel she takes a few extra steps to make sure the dogs are well taken care of and I appreciate that extra.

    METZGER ANIMAL HOSPITAL
We had just moved into the area. Our 12 year old corgi took a turn for the worse and had to be put down immediately to spare her pain. We called Metzger's and they had us come in immediately even though we had never been there before. They were so kind and caring with our dog and with us. She passed peacefully on a comfy dog bed on the floor with us beside her. We are so grateful how gently and competently the procedure was done. There was a beautifully appointed room with couch-even coffee and fridge with drinks if we had wanted it. We were encouraged to stay with her before and after the procedure for as long as we wanted. The hospital itself was immaculately clean. We later received a kind handwritten condolence note from the vet. I can't say enough kind things about Metzger's. We will certainly use them in the future and recommend them to any friend.

The grooming services at Mt. Nittany Vet. are the best Ive ever experienced. When we take her for her grooming appointment, the groomers come out to greet her, and our dog jumps for joy to see them. My dog comes back perfectly groomed (better than our dogs have looked from other groomers over the years) and happy. Our dog is not ready to bolt for the door when I pick her up. She is happy with her groomers, which tells me they are very thoughtful when grooming.
The vets here are very considerate and go the second mile when working with your pet. From ordinary care to teeth cleaning and life-concerning care, they are the best. When a cancer scare arose, they were the first to discover it, and took care of everything, keeping costs as low as was reasonably possible. When other, more long-term issues arose (the anxiety attacks) they were thoughtful enough to inquire with other vets, without my having asked, to see what possible causes and treatments existed. They are first rate as a veterinary group.

    Mt Nittany Veterinary Hospital
I first went to this vet with a voucher from the PAWs shelter to get a stray cat spayed. I really liked the vet, and the prices were less than my current vet. After I had the cat for a few weeks she started to have a milky look to one of her eyes and was running a fever. The doctor immediately looked and acted concerned. They did some blood tests. The doctor said it was one of two viruses. If it were the one virus, it had taken three cats in the last three months and was typically fatal, the other would be toxoplasmosis. The doctor spent a good deal of time with me explaining the various eye drops and medications I needed to give the cat. She explained the side effects (one medicine made the cat foam at the mouth, and would have been quite alarming if she had not warned me that it could be a side effect in some cats), she explained to me why it was crucial to give the cat the eye drops twice a day each day no matter how difficult and gave me some ideas on how to make the situation less stressful for our cat. We made an appointment to come back in two weeks. The vet called the same day to give me blood test results and to check on how we were doing. By the next visit the one eye had cleared, but the other eye had gotten the same milky look. She told me she was about 80 percent sure we would have a good outcome and it would turn out to be toxoplasmosis. By four weeks our cat was in great shape - although really mad at me for a month of eye drops twice a day.
I have now moved my dog to this vet as well.

I was having pop issues at my house never a good solid poop from my cat, had done multiple fecals (showing nothing) at the vet and tryed differnt medications too. Wanda suggested a different food and some supplemnts and after a week all the poops where solid in the litter box. Wanda is a wonderful person full of knowledge that she loves to share.

    METZGER ANIMAL HOSPITAL
I was greeted immediately by a friendly front desk person. She was very pleasant and helpful. I completed the paperwork since it was my first time to this vet. A second staff person appeared to help me since the first one was helping another client. I was immediately shown into an exam room and met with a very friendly and knowledgeable vet tech.
Shortly after that, I was seen by Dr. Jennett, who was excellent. He spent a long time with me asking a number of questions and performing the exam on my cat. My cat is 13 years old and is normally very stressed at the vet offices, but this vet clinic uses a spray with cat pheromones (sprayed on a towel) to calm them down. I didn't realize that they used this at first, but noticed that my cat was strangely comfortable in the large exam room when we waited briefly before the vet came in. By the end of the appointment, he was actually lying down on the exam table and didn't run back into his carrier, which he normally does as soon as the door is opened again! I was so impressed I purchased some of the spray from the vet (Feliway).
The vet clinic itself is very nicely finished, with very nice furniture and tiled floors.
The vet is also on call this weekend and I can call 24/7 if I need to.
I highly recommend this vet clinic!
