    E-Z Hauling & Services
Eric and Zachary have come to my parents' house twice and done all kinds of tasks for them that my parents couldn't easily do themselves (clearing out their packed-full attic, deep cleaning the basement, trimming hedges, cleaning tile floors in the master bedroom [and removing and putting back all the furniture to do so], hauling truckloads of stuff away...) and they'll be back soon to clean and seal all the grout on the house's first floor. They're a godsend--super efficient, easy to deal with, up for anything, and very reasonably priced. Hard workers who take pride in performing tasks thoroughly and perfectly and who go above and beyond. Highly recommended.

    E.M. Korman Construction
It went very well. They did a real good job finding and repairing leaks in my roof, replacing defective gutters and downspouts. They then did a project to add drainage pipes front and rear. Reshaped the land and brought in topsoil to ensure that water runs away from the house instead of into it. I am very pleased and am hiring them to do additional projects. They are courteous, prompt and stand behind their work.

    Alex's Proscape LLC
We hired Alex's Proscape to mow our lawn. After discussing with them, we agree to a biweekly plan, and they drew up a contract which I signed that stated they would come in once every two weeks and cut the grass. Unfortunately, we had several issues with them, causing us to terminate our service within a couple of months. There were several smaller issues, but the main issue was that we received an invoice from them charging us for WEEKLY services. The problem was twofold: 1) This was against our contract. When I pointed this out to them, they only explained that they felt it was necessary to cut more often due to fast growing grass. Only after I told them a second time that the charges were illegal, they removed all but the bi-weekly charges. 2) Their claim that the weekly cuts were necessary were bogus. I am in the yard everyday gardening and I take note of when the grass is cut. On most of the dates that the invoice charged us for, there was no visible change in the grass. After checking with Alex's Proscape, they said that their GPS trackers confirmed that there were workers on our site those days. If that is the case, then either the workers did not mow the grass while being there, or, they gave a prefunctory pass over the grass without really cutting much. Either way, there was no need for a cut and this was just a way for them to charge us more money.

    Createscape Landscape Services LLC
Createscape Landscape Services did an excellent job revitalizing our paver sidewalk. They cleaned, leveled and re-grouted our paver sidewalk. It looks great. Mike was responsive to our needs and worked with us on timing given the weather. My wife and I are very pleased with the finished product. Thanks Mike!

They told us that the sanding work (which cost us several hundred dollars) would be good for 4-5 years. Within a few months, the sand had disappeared. The landscaping work was worse. They substituted the plants we had agreed on with cheaper alternatives. Within months after the landscaping was completed, the area that was landscaped was infested with weeds. Some of the plants died within months of planting. When we complained, they first refused to take responsibility for the sanding work (hiding behind fine print in the contract that said that they do not guarantee any of the work) despite having assured us that the work is good for at least 5 years. They agreed to replace the plants that they had substituted earlier with plants of comparable value that we chose. However, when they came to do the work, they pulled out a number of flowering plants that we had paid them to have planted earlier. When we called to complain, they again refused to accept responsibility for the mistake and remedy the situation. Based on this experience (which has cost us several thousand dollars), I must say that Moon Brothers Landscaping is a fraudulent business. Avoid them like a plague!

    Cutting Edge Tree Professionals LLC
We had to have trees removed because of root rot and related problems. One of them was a huge old oak that Penn State's plant pathology department called a "hazard tree." All of them were in our closely planted, lovingly landscaped native plant garden. There wasn't a lot of room to move - and only a fairly narrow passage between houses to take them out. I was expecting devastation: but Cutting Edge did a fabulous job. One arborist - who's taken care of our trees for years - turned down the job outright, I think because of the difficulty of getting the trees down and the wood out without damage. Another arborist simply said, "There will be damage." A few weeks after Cutting Edge finished, though, you'd barely know they'd been here, except for the missing trees themselves and a big stump that we'd asked them to leave. The owners came out and scoped the property carefully, consulting with us all the way - both during the initial consultation and during the process of removing the trees. They "got" the idea of native plants - which not everyone does. They took great care with everything. When an issue arose - for example, at some point they wanted to temporarily move some small shrubs to get them out of harm's way - they consulted with us. We really appreciated their care in this respect, as well. At some point, they spotted a high-up hollow in another tree and, without extra cost to us, called in an expert to consult. They investigated carefully, described what they'd found, and we were able to agree that the tree should be monitored but nothing had to be done yet. Our neighbors were so impressed with their work that they hired them for some work in their own yard. On top of all that, they were very prompt and very professional. They started and finished the job as scheduled, with one exception: they needed a special piece of equipment to remove one tree without disturbing the flowerbed it stood in, and it wasn't available when they expected. They rescheduled that and came back - again, exactly as promised - and finished up neatly. Throughout the process, they were very professional, considerate, and meticulous. I am truly impressed.

Excellent. Despite expected delays due to weather, they kept me informed. With my neighbor's permission, they were able to access the tree from their side and they were careful with their property, They also contacted the company that installed my vinyl fence to come the previous day to remove the one fence panel so they could access the tree more easily. The tree was cut down, the stump was ground, and soil raked over it. They raked and cleaned up all of the debris from my neighbor's yard. They cut the large pieces and placed them in my yard as requested. Then they contacted my fence company to return to put the fence panels back into place. I recently experienced a back injury and was not able to prepare the yard as I had wanted. They were very understanding and happy to help. Cody Kounseski and his crew did a wonderful job! Done in two hours on the coldest day!

Troy cut down two trees and was paid for three with a promise to return to cut down the final tree. After over a year of broken promises, practically on a month basis, he still has not returned to cut down the tree and took us for $400 without offering any refunds. I would never recommend his services as he broke every promise and took our money without providing the service.

    Andrew M Moore Tree Surgeon
Mr. Moore came the same day we first called to give us estimates. He was going to try to fit the job into a weekend, but because of lots of rain this Spring, it was longer before the work could be done. His crew was very professional and friendly. They did the work quickly and their clean-up was terrific.

    Jabco's Custom Lawncare LLC
Charged by the job rather than by hour, and allowed me to pay half 2 weeks ago and paid balance when he was done. He is very accommodating, professional, competent. He is very thorough and I was very pleased with everything when he was done. He had one helper with him. Very meticulous and perfectionist! I will be calling him again for the fall clean up.I highly recommend him for anyone needing lawn work.
