  • I see Dr. Cortini in Denver.  She is a doctor of oriental medicine as well as a chiropractor.  Anytime I go to Denver I am in that ladies office.  She does acupuncture treatments for allergies.

  • I was very skeptical going in, never having tried acupuncture. Dr. Fortune was very frank that the chronic nature (40 yrs +) of some of my problems might interfere with the desired outcome. That was 2 months ago. I started off going 3X per week, and am now down to once a week. We will try to taper off from there.
    Results as follows so far:
Best improvement: My hands are now at 80%, up from 50% strength. Pain is down to a 2 from 5-7.
Issues in my neck and left arm from the cervical foraminal stenosis have been made bearable.
    Gout has not returned.
My lower lumbar issues still persist, but to a lesser degree.
Bottom line...progress on all fronts. More work to be done.
    Take it from a skeptic....give this man a can't hurt....well, only a little.

  • As a female, I would have been much more comfortable with a female massage therapist.  I would have become more comfortable with a male therapist had I been told when I made the appointment that that is who I would have.  I feel that women should be told ahead of time in case they are so uncomfortable with a male therapist that they can reschedule for a different time.  The therapist was prone to some heavier breathing so that I was able to feel his breaths on me.  And unfortunately they were not pleasant smelling.  He was difficult to hear when he was communicating with me. He was yawning throughout my massage. (Which does not make one feel pampered or relaxed.)  I did not come away from this massage feeling relaxed.  I will be going elsewhere in the future for my massages.

  • Michael is simply outstanding on all fronts. He takes his profession quite seriously and considers your health and well being to be his top priority. He is a highly regarded professional in his field and treats quite a few professional athletes. He is easily accessible by phone, text, and email and will do everything he can to see you as soon as possible if you are in pain. Rolfing is not your everyday, sit in a chair and get a back rub type of massage therapy. It is much more advanced and involved than that. I recommend previewing the Rolf website,,  so you know what to expect.  Michael's own website is Two things really impress me about Michael. One - he is absolutely driven to stay on top of all advancements in the field. He attends seminars and classes and is in touch with Rolfers across the nation to stay aware of of any new technique or development in his profession. No one could question his dedication. The second point is he does not "clock watch". I have worked with massage therapists that the moment the clock hits 50 minutes, they stop dead and ask you to get dressed and go. Sometimes, especially, when you are in pain, some extra time is needed to get the job done right. Michael always tries to build some extra time into the schedule in case you need it. He wants you to leave with the job done and you feeling better. Obviously, if you are really hurt, one session won't get everything done. No therapy will. But, at least, Michael will finish the job for that day. Now, certainly, if Michael's schedule is jammed packed and you beg and plead to see him, well, he may have to keep it to an hour to accommodate a previously scheduled patient. We all need to aware that these professionals treat other patients than ourselves and also have lives outside their profession! However, for most appointments set up in advance, Michael does build in the time to his schedule to makes sure you get treated correctly. The lone downside is Michael does not accept insurance. However, since the majority of massage therapists do not accept insurance, this certainly is not a "black mark". It has become the norm, unfortunately. I have be seeing Michael for over year whenever I run into any difficulties and I recommend him highly. He provides excellent service and is truly concerned about making you feel better and getting your body to heal.

  • A bit of a wait at the start. The massage itself was good, better than at Massage Envy. But not as good as some of the private practice massage therapists I've seen.
