ACedar Hardscaping LLCI've been a homeowner for over 20 years and in that time I've had multiple services and projects performed by countless companies. In that time, I can count on one hand the number of companies who did exactly what they said they would do, in the time that it should take, and did some things even better than I expected. Cedar Hardscaping is on that shortlist. Alfonso worked with us to bring our dream for our backyard to life and displayed a lot of patience as we changed our minds over and over. Alfonso, Jose, Rubin, and the rest of the crew were always timely and never took long breaks or showed up late. They went out of their way to do the little things to make sure we were happy with the results. We have already received compliments on the quality of their work and had someone in construction comment that he had seen others with similar projects pay a lot more. This was a huge project and dream or ours and I could go on and on about how happy we are with the final results and the lack of headaches that I needed to endure. Suffice it to say that we have another project that we are planning to have Cedar Hardscaping do in the near future and highly recommend them to anyone wanting a high quality job for their next hardscaping and/or landscaping project. AGreenstone GardensWe had a great experience with Mark and his team. They were quick to respond to our initial request and come out to review what we wanted done. The team that did the work were courteous and cleaned up everyday before leaving. We had a pretty big job and it was completed in a week. This included building a retaining wall around our patio, clearing some debris from a less used area and creating a garden area for us. Finally, everything was edged and mulched. AHydroscapes Inc.I have used Hydroscapes Inc services since 2012. They installed lawn irrigation and flower planter drip irrigation systems. I had thoroughly evaluated alternatives to Hydroscapes before I selected them, and I found that they were by far the best irrigation contractor in SE Pennsylvania. They completed an excellent installation in 2012 that has stood the test of time, and they perform regular service 3 times per year on these systems. These systems perform extremely well, and Hydroscapes is always very responsive to fix any issues. They have occasionally resolved fairly complex issues that arise and completed the diagnosis quickly and accurately -- and fixed the issue right away. Their prices are fair and the technicians and office staff are a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Hydroscapes Inc for your irrigation needs.- Lawrence O.

AEVERGREEN LANDSCAPE MGMT INCI live at the bottom of 4 hills and have a natural underground spring in my back yard. Between the storm water runoff from up hill and the spring underground, my backyard was a 24/7 swamp. I called a couple of different landscape companies. None of them wanted anything to do with it. One of the companies even told me that I needed a land development engineer. No way was I going to call an engineer. I called Evergreen and Keith came out. He looked at the situation and it didnt seem to phase him at all. He was the first guy to come out whose eye balls didnt pop out of his head. He got back to me with a fair price and was able to start a few days later. He installed lots of stone and pipe. Regraded the yard and planted new seed. Keith literally drained my swamp. I never in a million years would think that I would ever have to water my backyard. I have to water it every night now. I would definitely recommend Evergreen for your landscaping and drainage needs.- Mike K.

APierce L Shallis Landscaping & DesignIt went great. They were responsive and thoughtful. We have worked with lots of landscapers and designers but their creativity and suggestions were great. We requested a unique design. They had good ideas and honest advice. They were able to help us find a great vision for our space. They had some fun plant ideas and their stonework was great. It was completed before I even noticed. We had some 100 year old stone wall and and they fixed it no problem. It looks like it must've looked when it was first built. The stone work was a great and valuable restoration of a space that has a meaningful historic look. They were punctual and deliberate. I interacted with 6 staff members in total and they were all friendly and knowledgeable. Modern billing options. Text Messaging, Email, or Calling were all options with quick responses. I would hire again, but with our low maintenance lawn and garden, I don't think we'll need much help until our next big project. I know they are available though.- Zack H.

FThey arrived on time and installed on the day they said they would , everything worked that first week, the sprinkler heads have a 5 year warranty, they started failing the next week. Now 3 months later 6 sprinkler heads do not work, after repeated calls and texts absolutely no response from the company, and to top it all off , the day they were installing the lines they cut through my sump pump line and did not inform me so I started getting water in my basement during the bad storms we had June and July , I only discovered this when a puddle started forming my yard forming on days it wasn’t raining , I had to trench and replace entire Line . Do NOT use this company

AThe crew did a great job. Removed asphalt and old steps. Graded the area and installed the pavers and build new steps. It took a little less than 3 days to do the work. The crew was willing to answer questions as the project progressed and left things very clean. The new pavers look great and are flush with the driveway and house.

DDuring the quote process the owner was positive and open to the needs of the job, explaining multiple times how comprehensive and detailed his company works citing his years in the trade. He will bring you eggs as a gift of good faith and attempt to build trust. Following this estimate, I made it clear the desired overall outcome and finished expectations of the job to move forward. Multiple estimates were obtained and although this service's quote was not the cheapest, I elected to use them based on the thoroughness and trusting nature of our meeting. On the date of service the owner who quoted the job and discussed the details was not present leaving his crew to interpret our needs. The crew itself was hard working and did not waste any time (the crew's work ethic is the reason this review is not a complete fail). Following the job, the crew was rushing to another location and little time was given to inspect the work and follow up. Afterwards, a call was placed with the owner where I highlighted the incomplete work referring to the details discussed. In true contractor fashion - The owner denied accountability, stating the details were not discussed and the work performed was the highest quality and complete. The owner referred to specific words on the estimate used in the landscape industry. He explained that these job descriptive words should be known by the customer prior to hire (example: "flush" does not mean the same as clear everything out- per my request). The owner also declined to inspect the work himself and stated "his time is too valuable" to check a finished product and he knows the job is complete without being there. He then offered to send a staff landscape designer to quote the rest of my needs for additional charges. Be careful when considering an estimate from this service. The owner will provide an primitive hand written estimate that does not include an itemized breakdown of costs per each step of the job. The short hand noted estimate will be purposely vague in order to use deniability when questioned. Appears this is the age old standard contractor sales technique- promise the world and deliver the minimum.

AI live on a private road with no storm drains, and slightly downhill from other homes. As a result, after a heavy rain, I had lakes of water accumulating on my property, and because of the soil composition underground, the water would remain for many days. Some other contractors came to my property and threw up their hands. They didn't know how to deal with a problem so massive, especially with no storm drains to feed the water into. Some suggested I dump water from my front yard to my backyard (which was annoying because the back was a mess too). Fox Landscape came in and fixed the problem. He did some important landscaping to shield my property a little, and also installed a couple of huge french drains for me. It worked as advertised! Furthermore, George, Cheryl, and their crew were responsive and communicated well throughout the process, beginning and ending the work on schedule. I'd definitely recommend them!
