During the initial visit, Pierce took the time to hear what I was looking for, answer questions I had, and also ask his own questions and make suggestions where relevant. From that point on he was always very accessible and happy to answer any of the (many) questions that I had throughout the process. The team was able to complete the work efficiently and with minimal disruption to my family or my neighbors. His team members were all great representatives of the company as well, providing quality work and thoughtful suggestions. The end product is such a massive upgrade over what we previously had - it looks amazing, and we're so glad we chose Pierce Shallis for this work. To top it all off, Pierce has been very helpful after the fact in making himself available to answer any maintenance questions and offer guidance where needed. I will definitely work with Pierce Shallis again for any future landscaping needs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to revamp their landscaping.- Matthew A.

ADeckPro Surface SolutionsRandy is a great communicator and gave a thoughtful estimate, explaining his thinking when he first came out. They always made sure I knew when they were coming ahead of time, and then Ryan would also text when he arrived to do the work to again make sure I knew they were there. The work took a bit longer was a little more involved than initially predicted, and they made sure I knew what was happening. And they did good quality, sturdy work on two long-neglected aspects of the backyard. The deck has never looked so good, and the fence is in the best shape it's ever been in.- Adam Z.

ABen and his assistant did a great job. He hauled away the old material and rocks pulled from the post holes. Replaced split rail on 3 sides and red cedar privacy fence along the road. Great job with the gates. Looks awesome and very solid! Highly recommend!

CThe estimator who came out was nice and returned a quote quickly. He was honest about a longer than usual time for supplies and installation due to Coronavirus so I was expecting a 2-month delay. The price was competitive so I hired them. My neighbor hired them about a week later so we were told our fences would be done the same time. It was downhill from there. As we approached the 2-month mark, my neighbor and I took turns calling to see when we would get the fences installed because there was no proactive communication from the company. A crew finally showed up at my neighbor's house almost 2 months to the day since I signed the contract. They installed my fence 3 days later. The fence looks good so that part of the work is fine. However, they tore up my front and back lawn with their machine, leaving large tire ruts and huge mud chunks everywhere. I spent an hour picking up leftover fence parts and nails, filling in gouges around the yard and reseeding where they had torn up sod. The lack of customer service and cleanup are what gives them a C. Spend a little more money and hire a company that pays attention to the details of customer service.

DOn or about 5/14/20 Tony came out and gave me an estimate stating he could do the job "Next Week". My assumption was that Tony would be here to do the job with a helper. His workers did not arrive until 5/26/20. Two young fellows show up in an unmarked pick up truck to do the job. They are not sure what to do. they were just told to install some gates. I have to explain what is required. Unimaginable, but they don't have a post hole digger, a breaker bar, a masonry drill, concrete to set the gate posts, or any hardware for the gate. Fortunately I had the first four items. Then they hang the single gate backwards (opposite from the way it opened before) and set the double gate posts too close and need to do it over. The single gate frequently does not latch correctly it must be checked constantly and they put very few staples in the new pool safety wire that they installed. I have to reset the gate spring so it closes and adjust the latch. It took them about 6-7 hours. The two installers were very nice and aimed to please but were ill prepared. If you use this guy get everything in writing and be specific about everything. I could have done this job, it would have taken longer, but I would have saved hundreds of dollars.

They called me to go over my contract in detail and patiently answered all questions that I had. They met with me the morning of the installation and again answered any questions that I had.
