  • I had an unpleasant experience. I didn't want to pay it, but I paid it anyway. They replaced oil pressure sensor. To get at it, they had to move the air conditioner out of the way and in the process of doing so, they broke a wire for the air conditioner, which required me to take the car back the following spring to get repaired. So I had to make two trips, one for the oil pressure sensor and one for an air conditioner that wasn't even broken at all, they broke it by breaking a wire. They're not very professional, they get their work done really quick but they don't care about breaking something to fix something else. I just think they should have taken care of the time by taking care of the oil pressure sensor and not breaking anything else. But they did, things happen and when they told me the price I said, "But wait a minute, I had the oil pressure sensor replaced last year and I understand the air conditioner had to be moved and now you're telling me there was a broken wire on the air conditioner" I said, "Well, why is that something I should take care of? When the oil pressure sensor was replaced don't you think the wire may have been broken at that time?" He said, "Possibly," and I figured, "I'm not going to make a big stink about this whole thing, I'll go in there, I'll get my car, I need it badly and I'll pay the $100 and I'll leave." But, I'm probably a bit more reluctant to take my car up there again just because of that. The workers who I came in contact with were actually not workers, they were the managers and the customer care service representatives, is what they're called. The customer care representatives were very responsive and very polite. They should take their time and make sure that they don't break something else in the process of fixing what needs to be fixed.

  • He doesn't do emissions for my car because my car has very low mileage on it. If you drive less than 3,000 miles a year the law says that emissions testing is not necessary. So he doesn't do emissions and that's why the price is so low. One time he did a tire repair for me.

  • They are very very good. They were punctual and provided a ride for me as I left the car with them. They are very friendly, listen to your needs and are trustworthy. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

  • As always, the customer service was great and the staff, especially Bob, was very friendly.  I needed an oil change and bought an Angie's List deal for a winter seasonal checkup that included the oil change.  Everything was fine.  My only slight question is how thorough the checkup was.  We recently had work done on the car at AAA after hitting a pothole and they had mentioned that the tire treads were getting low and they might need to be replaced soon.  Ramsey's didn't make any mention of that, but I do think they're getting a bit low.
    They had also installed a new (maybe used) window motor a couple years ago.  Recently the window had started making noises as if it might break again when rolling it up and down, so I asked them to re-check it.  Thankfully they have a 2-year guarantee on their service, and I had just made it in that window, so they were able to repair it for free.  It required re-tightening the cover on the motor, though I'm not sure why that would have come loose.  Hopefully it doesn't require tightening every two years.  But it seems fine now and they gave me no problems about fixing it, and were apologetic that there was an issue.
    Overall I am very happy with the service I get at Ramsey's.  I have been using them for several years and will continue to do so.

  • He is generally who we ever dealt with, he's very friendly and very helpful. The only draw back I see is, sometimes he forgets and fixes things without telling you, but he does remember to charge you, and that has led to some arguments, but he's always doing it in your best interest, it's just he forgets and he's supposed to do what he tells in the estimates and follow it, most of the time he works things out with you.

  • The Service deparment is a bunch of bad unprofessional people, they go out of their way not to do warranty work, had a 1 1/2 year old car that the battery went bad, they said they could not replace it, let me ask you something, if you go to Pep Boys and buy a brand new battery and it goes bad dont they replace it? Not Ryan Kia their battery are only supposed to last 18 months i guess-- thats just one story--save your self a lot of aggravation dont buy a car from Ryan--and certainly do not use their service department

  • This is the third time I've used Ramsey's Service Center and I am always pleased with the results. Bob and his staff are very friendly, and this time they didn't seem at all put out that (due to illness) I had to reschedule my appointment 3 times.  They are very accommodating and happy to help.  They truly make you feel like they appreciate your business and value customer satisfaction.

    I dropped the car off in the morning and went to work, and by that evening it was ready. They did a state-required inspection and emissions test, an oil change and a tire rotation as part of an Angie's List coupon (they seem to offer it every year).  My driver-side front window was occasionally having problems and not moving, so I decided to have them check it out, as well.  I assumed it was the motor and told them so but they still made sure to check other components like the switch connection, etc., to rule those out (part of their great service).  It was indeed the motor and they were able to replace it that day.

    I will mention that this is the first time I had any sort of issue with them, though it was minor and quickly taken care of, so I still give them all As.  I had to pick the car up after hours, but they had no problem with that, taking payment over the phone.  The problem was they weren't clear about where they would leave the paperwork and car key, so when I got there I didn't see them in the car.  But that is also my own fault for not thinking to check above the driver-side visor, despite seeing many movies where someone needs to "borrow" a car and the keys have conveniently been left there by the driver.  And I'm sure I had to pick up the car from them after hours in the past, so I should have remembered that leaving things above the visor was their standard policy.  Bob apologized and explained to me that the receptionist was new and still learning, which I completely understood. I would have still taken the car and just gone back to get the paperwork if necessary, but I also noticed that the rubber molding of the arm rest on the driver side door had not been re-attached properly after they replaced the window motor.  So unfortunately I had to leave the car there, which was a bit of an inconvenience.  They were very apologetic and fixed it the next day, so overall I was still happy with the service and would definitely recommend them.  I certainly plan to continue using them in the future.

  • I started taking my car to J and M Discount Tire on the recommendation of a friend whose family had patronized them for years and have been quite satisfied with the service I have received.  They know their stuff, do things properly, and don't overcharge.  As a woman, I've never felt talked down to or taken advantage of.  I can recommend this business without reservation.
