  • I thought it went great. I paid this company $9,100 CASH ( no typo there ) for their work. 2 Outdoor outlets failed within days. More are failing and it has not been a year. Came out once and completed work and mistake but now that more are failing, they will not return. Hired another electrician this week who replaced their failed outdoor outlets. NEVER AGAIN. Other jobs were done well , but no excuse for poor quality items paid for not being replaced. Blamed what i am plugging in. Yep heavy duty stuff like a Dewalt radio and Christmas string lights. Honestly. Said what I paid has nothing to do with it. **** RIGHT. Should be products that are dependable ! Hire someone else. Can't wait to see the response with excuses making readers believe any of this is the customers fault. BEWARE

  • Chris and his helper removed an old arborvitae tree in our front yard. The tree could have landed on our phone line or on the house, but Chris expertly dropped in in the yard. They chipped and removed all of the debris, including blowing away the sawdust from the driveway. Other than the stump, you can't tell that there was a tree there or that it has been removed!

  • We called Design Group Central and made an appointment to discuss our project. We met with Troy and was very impressed. He was receptive to our needs, listened to what we had to say and provided valuable input. He told us that our project was a little too complex for him and advised that Ron usually goes to the site and completes the designs for our type of project. He then told us to have a copy of plans made and Ron would call to schedule an appointment to come to the house. We made the copies the very same day but waited over 2 weeks for Ron to call but he NEVER did. I stopped by in person last week to see what was going on. Troy apologized and and called Ron right then and set up the appointment for 9:00 AM Monday. My wife took off from work and I stayed home from my Monday flea market to met him. He NEVER showed up. At 9:30 AM I called Design Group Central to inquire about Ron's whereabouts. I was told he was at the office waiting for us. When he got on the phone the conversation went south quick. I perhaps could understand a miscommunication once but twice is unacceptable. When I tried to explain I do not do business this way, Ron said neither does he and hung up on me. I am sure they do wonderful work, but they will never do it for me. If customer service is important to you, I would be cautious.

  • I purchased the $199 deal for a whole house cleaning through Angie's List. I talked to The Cleaning Service and scheduled the service. They NEVER SHOWED! I called them - thinking maybe they were lost and needed directions, but they didn't respond. I followed up with an email and another call. I've never heard back from them. I was extremely disappointed. The thought of a spotless house had me very excited. With three children under age 5 and a full time job, it sounded like heaven - and then I had to cancel some planned activities because I needed to stay home to clean for the weekend. Bottom line - I don't know how well they clean, but they are not dependable.

  • Brian is VERY clever and quick to determine best way to repair things. Very impressive. Have had him to my home three times in two years. Never disappoints ! Cares about doing a job correctly and carefully. Always on time. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  • Brian can work " outside of the box" and problem solve due to vast experience of many kinds and an advanced understanding of how things work and how things are assembled. He can repair just about anything. If the job is too much for one man, he will tell you. He will give you his cost up front. I have had handymen who stand around drinking water or smoking a cigarette. Brian didn't take one break, not even for lunch but worked straight through 6.5 hours and the majority of it outside in the heat and sun. You get what you pay for and there is NO good, experienced, knowledgable handyman who is cheap. Add honest to the list of adjectives about Brian - did you read what I wrote about the leaking faucets ? I was impressed and beyond pleased with his work and am already starting a new " Honey Do " list for him. Other handymen would not like to be compared and I won't be hiring others now that I know Brian. No I am not a family member or friend. Never met him until he showed up to work.

  • Harry and Mike came out to do an estimate for some work.
    Very friendly guys who had some ideas about how to repair the issues that I have on my home.
    They took measurements and lots of notes on what I wanted repaired. I was told to expect a quote in a couple days.
    And then I never heard from them again.
    I followed up with a phone call to see what happened to my estimate, but have not heard back.
    I'm not sure why you would take the time to come out for an estimate and never provide an actual estimate.

  • Ron Doran and his crew were great - from the estimate to cleanup, everything was completed as promised and on schedule.
    Ron came out to do an estimate and schedule the work. He brought photos of past installations on his iPad, explained what might be difficult about the work in our home, and explained the process. 
    I had another quote that was higher and one that was lower, but Ron's quote gave me the most confidence. I felt he understood what needed to happen, would honor our schedule, and had everything included in his number.
    One room was carpeted and there was some uncertainty about a floor repair in this area. Ron put an estimate together for this area. It ended up being more effort than anticipated to repair the floor in this area, but Ron's adjustment to the final bill was completely reasonable.
    Stain samples were put down and made available for our review - it made choosing a color and finish much easier.
    I never heard a foul or profane word from anyone on the crew and they cleaned up their mess.
    I only wish I would have had finish the house and we plan to have them back to repair and refinish the remaining floors.

    He was able to diagnose the problem, pick up the parts, and have the repair completed within another two hours.
