  • Great!  Everyone that I dealt with at Sila was friendly, helpful and professional.  They were on time, replaced the old systems - heat, air conditioning and hot water heater quickly and cleaned up the areas.  They were wonderful to deal with on this project.  It's a lot of money for me to spend, but I feel confident that I will be comfortable and happy that I decided to replace the systems before the winter.

  • I called Steve in the morning, completely panicking that our hot water heater had broken and was in the process of flooding our basement. Over the phone, Steve told me where to turn off the water valve and told me he would be out within a couple of hours to install a new unit.
    Steve was running a bit behind schedule and called to tell me his new ETA. I was really happy that he kept the lines of communication open.
    The price quoted for the job was $1495 but the gas line had been installed incorrectly by the builder so that had to be fixed. He also suggested adding a pan underneath the new heater. The job ended up costing $500 over what we were quoted but, obviously, if something needs to be fixed, I want it done right. I did not feel that he was trying to "sell" me additional items. I think he just wanted to do the job properly. My husband watched them completing the job and everything Steve said made sense to us.
    Steve recommended that we purchase a couple of things (like a water censor) and a couple other things to prevent this from happening in the future. I would definitely use Water Heater Express and highly recommend this company.

  • My water heater blew on Sunday 7/5, over the holiday weekend. My home warranty company assigned Clear Flow Water Solutions to come out. I called them first thing on Monday morning 7/6, since the water was still leaking after I shut off the water & tried draining it. They wouldn't come out any sooner than Wednesday, 7/8, even though I told them it was actively leaking. Understanding that they were probably backed up from a holiday weekend, I felt I could deal with the leak until they arrived on Wed. so I didn't make too much fuss but I was not happy. When the plumber finally arrived first thing Wed. AM, he confirmed my water heater needed to be replaced. However, he did nothing else! He told me he would not send in the authorization to my home warranty until the end of his shift, because it would take too long to call it in. Then when the warranty company approved it, they would order the tank and I would have to call & make ANOTHER appt, which would take another 2-3 days even though they had the tank in stock. Any other company would have it authorized right there, ordered the tank, and been out the next day at the latest. Instead, I had to wait until the next week. I made the appt for Monday 7/13, over a week without hot water. They called that day & told me they ordered the wrong tank and I would have to make ANOTHER appt when they got the right one. I told them they needed to get the right one, that day and install it by the end of the day. They refused, and told me the soonest they could come out would be the next day. When they finally arrived on Tuesday, 7/14 a total of 10 days without hot water, the workers told me my tank was still half full. The first worker, could have at least drained the tank to prevent it from leaking for 10 days! They installed it quickly and professionally, but charged me almost as much as it would have cost without the warranty. For example, they charged $99 for vent work which was not covered by my warranty. All they did was remove and replace the existing vent & taped a couple of joints; hardly worth $99 for 5-10 minutes of work and $1 worth of materials. They only reason I didn't give them all "F"s is because they finally did the work and so far I haven't had a problem. Also the office staff was professional, and did call to expedite authorization and the tank re-order. However, the lack of priority for a customer who has already been seen shows a disregard for customer service. Also the complete lack of service by the first worker, is inexcusable. I would not use this provider again and not recommend them at all.
    UPDATE: On 2/17/16 I had to have the venting on my water heater redone due to leaking because of the poor workmanship of this contractor. They did not angle the venting properly, therefore causing condensation to build up and leak back into the water heater insulation and leak onto the floor. The contractor I had come out to fix this through my home warranty company DID NOT charge me for the work he did on the venting. So not only did Clear Water charge me $99 when they shouldn't have, they didn't even do the job properly. They need to refund me the $99 they charged me for venting work. Also, after doing some research on the BBB, they have poor business practices in general. Using the BBB symbol in your advertising when you are not a member is unethical. So I've changed my previous scorings to all F's.

  • Adam arrived at the scheduled time and completed the job in 2 hours.  The job cost ran over the estimate due to the unit that had to be replaced (power vent vs. chimney exhaust unit).  My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the work and the pricing was good.  Highly recommend...

    • Dominic & Dominic did a wonderful job!  Very professional, very polite. 

    The entire project took about 1 1/2 days.  They planned out the project so that we would not lose heat or hot water overnight.

    They repeatedly asked my opinion (while educating me with their professional opinion) to ensure that we were happy with the job.

    Gave me a full tutorial about all of the features of the new thermostat.  Even walked me through the initial programming.

    Very pleased.  Will definitely call back for routine service and repairs if ever needed.

  • The price was higher then two other quotes but i liked the company more. They also offered a free water heater and home surge protector and 1 year of maintenance and a remote for the unit.
    They complete the work in about 10-12 hours.  We got a middle range furnace and AC unit.  One nice feature i like about the unit is that the fan will turn on a couple times every hour to keep air moving.
