    Mark and Ryan were great! They reviewed all the jobs I had in mind, and quickly gave me a time estimate (4-5 hours) and rate. We had purchased an Angie's List deal for the first 2 hours, so they were very up front about additional costs including materials. I was surprised they were able to do all three tasks in the time they did. I will definitely hire them again.

    They were able to come out the next day to perform a thorough inspection of the house and they identified the problem as being an iodized line that was coming in from the street.  The technician (Will) waited while we called Peco, and he helped explain the problem to the customer service rep.  Will also suggested we install a grounding package, which we scheduled for the next day.  Peco showed up at the same time the following day, and everything was repaired and the grounding package was installed by Jacob and Will.  They were extremely courteous at all times - taking the time to cover their work boots when they came in the house.  It was a great experience, and I would strongly recommend them!

    When I contacted them by phone, Bill answered the first call and I explained what I needed done.  I asked if he could come on Tuesday and he said that was perfect.  He would be here between 8 am and 9am and would call before he arrived.  On Tuesday, he called and arrived at 8:40.  He and his employee did a great job putting the new receptacles above the garage and on the corner of the house.  Stabilizing the ladder on the corner of the house was a chore but they got it done.  They then put in a new outlet in the basement along with a new breaker and zip tied and organized the wires from the water softening equipment.  They were finished in probably about an hour or so but it felt like they were here and done in minutes! 

    Bill Marsala was great to work with and paid attention to detail and quality.  He also allowed me to buy the spotlight receptacles ahead of time so I got exactly what I wanted.  Marsala Electric is now my go to electrician and I will use them whenever I need an electrician.  Well done!

    The initial job went ok - they showed up on time, seemed to do good quality work, had most of the supplies they needed to complete the job finishing within a couple hours.  They charged me an additional $50 over their proposal, but it wasn't a big deal.  Had that been the entire story, I would have highly recommended them and used their services again.  HOWEVER.... while doing work on the ceiling fan switch in the master bedroom, they poked a hole through the wall into the hallway.  While every homeowner should expect accidents like this to happen, I did not anticipate the workers to leave it like that.  First thing the next morning I called Bill to fix the hole.  It took over 3 weeks, 2 no-show appointments and many unanswered voice mails before be came to finish the job.  Although his voicemail says they'll return calls within 5 minutes, this company never calls back in 5 minutes.  Throughout the entire job and proposal they're follow-up has been horrible.  They made the mistake/accident of putting a hole in my wall, why do I have to continuously call to schedule appointments for them to come out and finish the work?  They don't seem to be in a rush to finish the job, but they were certainly in a rush getting to the bank to cash the check.
    All in all, their follow-up is horrible, lack of integrity is appalling, and sadly would probably have a great business if they cleaned up these customer service issues.  They truly do quality work, it's just not worth the hassle.

    I contacted Deron and two other electricians in the area for estimates. 
    Deron arrived promptly to provide the estimates i requested. The estimates included the following:
    1. replace attic fan
    2. install bathroom fan
    3. install flood lights in our backyard
    4. install high hats in the master bedroom
     I told Deron that we were in the beginning of our project planning and would only be completing two items on the list. Deron was very understanding and he told us that the estimate was the same whether we used him now or in five years. He was not pushy at all and was mostly interested in prioritizing our list in a way that was acceptable for our needs.
    We decided to have our attic fan replaced and have flood lights installed in our backyard. We scheduled a time and Deron arrived on time each day. The work was completed on time and Deron left the work area immaculate. 
    Deron is the only electrician I will use or recommend from here on out. He's incredibly kind, takes pride in his work, and is ultra competitive with his prices.

    Our house had a very old and outdated bathroom and some water damage to a second bathroom's ceiling.  Contacted several places to try and arrange an estimate.  Tom was very quick to return my call and arranged a meeting quickly to discuss what we were looking to do and to spitball some ideas.  Other places either didn't bother to get back to us or seemed pretty disinterested right from the outset.  We narrowed it down to Total Home and another company.  Tom had the best ideas for the bathroom and was always extremely responsive and always available to talk so we selected him and we couldn't be happier.  His responsiveness is fantastic and his guys did a tremendous job.
    A few days before work was to begin, the missus and I discussed adding recessed lighting in the living room.  Tom came out, took a look and had an estimate for us later that day.  The wife and I were happy with the estimate, so added that work to the bill as well.
    When it was time to get down to business, Earl and Quinton came out bright and early and were always prompt, professional and clean.  We have an old house and, as such, the house may not always play nice, forcing you to improvise and think on your feet.  Earl ran into little surprises like this a couple of times and always came to us and clearly presented the issue and the potential solutions for us to choose from.  Earl and Quinton really made it easy.
    My wife and I could not be happier with the work that we had done and with Tom and his crew from Total Home Solution.  We will definitely be contacting Total Home in the future to work on our kitchen and basement when we have the means to modernize them as well.
    I know lots of people who have nightmare stories about contractors --- our experience was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.  I think it was the first time I was ever happy to hand over a check for $5000!

    The first time I called Dave, I needed to fix a problem that I created after doing some DIY projects (changing light fixtures, outlets and switches).  Dave spent a considerable amount of time trouble shooting the mess I had made.  Once he found the problem, it was fixed withinminutes.  I can tell you now that I was not charged for the full amount of time that it took Dave to pinpoint the problem that I had created.  I was so pleased with him, I called him several weeks later for a second project which was to wire the electrical and connect the thermostat for a heated flooring system that was being installed in a master bathroom.  Once again, everything was done top-notch.
    Without question, I will continue to use Dave Marks from Holly Electric for my electrical needs.
