The leg had been broken by carpet installers and was not a warranty issue, however I called Crate and Barrel where I had purchased the desk for a repair recommendation and they recommended David as the local repair person that they like to use. He was on time, very friendly and courteous, and as others stated definitely exceeded my expectations in the repair. David took his time, clearly showed a lot of attention to detail in repairing the leg and touching up the paint, and gave me a thorough explanation of what he had done when he was finished. The result is beautiful - you would never know that it had been broken - and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely call David again for any future furniture repair needs.

I brought the 2 stands to be tightened. The work was great and I have no complaint. I then brought 2 peices of doll furniture to be tightened. After Tim and I assessed both peices, we agreed that they were not suitable for regluing. I stated that I had several other peices that needed some work, and that I would bring them up as soon as I could. I was not able to get there for about 2 weeks. When I called Tim to arrange a drop-off time, he stated that the work had to be done at one time, not spread out and that I would have to pay for additional work. So, I paid $99 for a $200 deal but really only used $106 of that , saving only $7 instead $ 201. That stipulation was never made clear to me by  Tim Nyce or Angie's List. I was so angry about getting short changed that I cancelled my Angies list membership. I had been hesitant about utelizing the Deals for exactly this reason...Won't recommend Angies list to anybody. Probably will never use Nyce again, even though he seemed like a nyce guy. his work was good and seemed reasonably priced. It was not a nyce deal

I purchased kitchen appliances for a new kitchen at a great price for the package of appliances.  The delivery had to be rescheduled twice, but they were very accommodating and went out of their way to get me the appliances in time for an event I had planned.  The girls in the office were professional, knowledgeable and friendly and very responsive.  The installers were courteous and helpful.

The store itself and the customer service was good. However, Home Depot contracts out for delivery and the customer service from them wasn't so good. The delivery was to our rental property but the dishwasher was the wrong size. The delivery company never called us so the tenant called us. I had to call the company but the company said they couldn't really give us information. I had to call Home Depot but they said they don't have the information and that the delivery company has the information. It was more than it should have been.

The sales people at Queen are nice and they make an effort to match or beat best pricing.  Beyond that, I can't say I am overly impressed.  While products arrived on time and were the correct appliances, we are having an issue with our Danby Beverage Center.  The compressor makes a very loud clank when it shuts off.  Getting this resolved with Queen Appliance has been an issue as it is very hard to connect with someone live, and when you leave a message response time is typically two to three days.  When I finally did speak with my sales contact, he told me he would look into it and eventually called me back with the 800 service number for Danby....I could have gotten that on my own rather than wait two days for this informaton from Queen.  I was hoping Queen would help in resolving, but it was clear that this was my problem.  Regardless, I called Danby and they gave me the name of a registered service technician who came out and looked at the product.  He confirmed that the compressor is bad and reported this to Danby who informed me to call Queen to set up a replacement.  So, I called Queen on Friday, March 22nd and was informed someone would be in touch with me by Monday, March 25th to schedule replacement delivery.  Today is Wednesday, March 27th and I have yet to hear anything....I just called them again and left a message for my sales contact.  I have read several negative reviews since deciding to go through Queen.  I wish I had done my due dilligence and researched Queen Appliance prior to deciding to purchase my appliances from them.  While I have not had major issues, I have not gotten any support from Queen in resolving this issue and I have enough on my plate with a kitchen remodel.  If a product does not work properly, the supply store should stand behind the product and replace it without putting the customer through all the hassle.  The impression I get from the people at Queen is that this is a nuisance and they would prefer I just go away.  Before you purchase products through Queen Appliance, I would strongly suggest you read all the reviews you can on this place.  If you decide to purchase through them, understand that they will basically act as a broker to get you the product, but will provide minimal support when you need to resolve an issue.

We needed a new clothes washer and dryer and weren't sure whether to get a high efficiency (HE) top loader or a HE front loader washer.  Mattern's Ridge Appliance were great to explain what the differences were, how the washers worked with cleaning clothes, and gave helpful info on the brands that are good quality (low repairs and/or less-hassle repairs).  They were also helpful with tips on operation and maintaining the front loader washer.
We got a great deal, better than Lowe's and Sears, on a front loader washer and dryer set.  Delivery and install was on time and done right.  Install was harder because we got the pedestals below the washer and dryer.  Glad we got the pedestals to make them higher, less backaches from bending over, and handy storage for detergents, dryer sheets, cleaners, etc.
We started looking at refrigerators since our's is getting old. They gave great info about the different styles, materials and track records of the different brands.  Prices were good, too.  I'd gladly go back to Mattern's.

Diane, the saleswoman, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making my selections. Everything I purchased had rebate offers. Diane checked off the items I purchased on the rebate forms, making it easier for me to complete the remaining required information. Delivery and haul away was included in the price. The installers were professional, on time, and quick to complete the job. They made sure everything worked before they left and showed me how the appliances worked.

I found Rick through Angie's list. Of the companies I looked at, his was the only one to do both refinishing/repair and upholstery. I was surprised that the other companies only focused on one or the other, not both. Rick is a very pleasant, soft-spoken guy and very knowledgeable about his craft and the furniture he works on. He does a lot of commercial work for hotels in the city. I really felt good about leaving the chair in his hands.
I took the chair to his workshop where he assessed what needed to be done. a couple spindles and the chair springs needed to be replaced along the new fabric and stain. We spent a good amt of time discussing the color of stain and type of fabric best suited to our family. He estimated the work would take 3-4 weeks.
Then Hurricane Sandy swung by and they were out of commission for over a week then an injury set him back a bit more. I picked the chair up tonight and I was truly stunned by the transformation. It was absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny. This was his Christmas present and he was more ecstatic than I was when I brought it home.

Skip and his staff know their stuff. I have bought two flat screen TVs, dishwasher, portable ACs and now a washer and dryer. They spend time with you in the store explaining the plus and minus of products, service issues of each and every product you are looking at. They are very patient and will answer all of your questions. I will go back to them for my next  major purchase. I feel in today's times, these are people you can trust.

They were extremely helpful and their prices were good.  I needed a certain size refrigerator and they found it for me.  They were helpful from beginning to end.  Another company was going to charge me for delivery, the kit, and hookup.  With Lowe’s, you buy it and it is all included.  They always have something on sale; mine wasn’t on sale but it was reasonably priced. Everything was done very quickly.
