Appliance Repair reviews in Royersford

The repair man was polite and found the problem. A part is going to be ordered. I'm sure it would be faster to let the company get the part and install it next day but I got the impression that they have to wait for the warranty company to ship it to them first. This repair company, I Repair was out the very next day, right on time.

Perry was great. He responded to my call quickly and found the problem, got the necessary part, fixed it and then even cleaned up the mess. I wish my hubs Teri would do that when he takes on a project.

I left a message for Perry for a squeaky dryer repair visit, not expecting to hear back right away based on other reviews indicating he is a one-man operation, and I was OK with that. He called the next day and we made the appointment for the following day, so that was very responsive in my book. During that call I asked if he also services Whirlpool refrigerators, he said he did, so the visit was planned to repair both the dryer and the refrigerator.

He was a very pleasant person from the moment he stepped in the door. Before starting work on the dryer I asked if I could watch him open the dryer, since I had tried unsuccessfully for weeks to figure it out using web sites and videos. He happily showed me as he did it, then he later showed me which parts needed or should be replaced, all of which I had intended to replace had I been able to open the dryer myself. After about 20 minutes or so he started the dryer and I could hear it quietly running from another room, so I knew that was fixed.

Then he moved on to the refrigerator. I explained that I'd had to run several forced defrosts through the control board, each resulting in successful cooling for a short time only to stop working again. Perry did the same and could hear the compressor and fan running, even though a forced defrost should have shut both down. I told him I noticed the same when I did it. He said he was able to get them both to shut down by tapping on the casing where the control board sits (kind of like smacking the side of the TV in the old days). This told him the control board was faulty, and the relays on the board weren't shutting down all components even while the defrost cycle successfully started. He said this meant the refrigerator was defrosting at the same time it was cooling.

He took the drawers out of the freezer area, removed the back panel, and I could see the significant frost buildup. He used some heat to remove the frost, replaced a clearly clogged drain port, replaced and tested the board, then put the freezer back together with it humming perfectly.

He had every part I needed in his van for both appliances, and was done in less than 2 hours. Considering he replaced seven parts and spent most of the time manually defrosting the freezer, the whole charge was about $400. $200 per appliance repair including parts was a fair deal to me, and I learned a lot in the process. I would definitely call Perry again, and I would recommend him to anyone.

I called Thomas F McParland Plumbing & Heating for garbage disposal repair appointment however my home is located out of their service area, but they were kind enough to help and give me instructions over the phone of how to unclog it myself!

So, as can be seen, I'm a procrastinator and let things go for years.  But we just decided to get the house ready to sell and had a lot of things to get done quickly and neatly.  We used Ron before on a couple of other projects where some 'surprises' came up but Ron always found a way to power through.  So we knew that with a list of 20 items to do, Ron would be the one to see it through again.  Get this guy on your side!

He was able to schedule a service call the next day and arrived on time. He listened to what we had done to determine what was wrong ( another company disregarded my input and inferred that it was probably more than what I thought). He brought the part with him and problem was solved in one visit.

Perry is very honest, professional and his prices are reasonable. He found that there were a couple of buttons / clips / safety pins that had managed to escape the washer drum onto the outside which created all of the noise. The total time for removal was 45 min, and the washer is as good as new.

Note: I wasn't sure if credit card is accepted (still not sure if it is), so I made sure to have cash on hand. However, Perry does bill for service if needed. Additionally, he does not service LG and Samsung appliances.

I called the provider as my washing machine had stopped during the spin cycle and water would not spin out. Perry identified the problem, put in a new part and solved the problem.
He arrived when he said he would, took less than 1/2 hour to fix the issue, was professional and pricing was excellent.
    I recommend him highly.

Kyle was called on 4/23/2013 and returned the call and showed up on 4/24/2013. After looking at the refrigerator he indicated that the ice maker wasn't cycling and that the ice maker needed to be replaces. He got the parts and installed them on 4/25/2013. He them said it was fixed and left. That evening we called and told him it still didn't appear to be working. He came back and looked at it and said that the unit (replacement parts) must be defective and that happens. He installed another unit but that didn't work either. He called us and indicated he would be back to look at it again. We called him 5 times since May 3rd and he never called back. Our most recent call to him was on June 19th but he did not return that call either. I then contacted Aand E Factory Service on June 20th online and they came out on the morning of June 21st. The technician opened the freezer and in 10 minutes told us the problem was the sensor which controls the ice maker in the door. He replaced the sensor which included two pieces on each side of the freezer, gave us a 90 day warranty for parts and labor and told us to call if there were any problems. This repair service cost me $300 which was only $50 more than Kyle but now the ice maker works perfectly. We had used Kyle previously and were satisfied but when he just stopped returning calls it was extremely frustrating. So we are out $250.00 from Silver Lining Services for a repair that wasn't successful. We will never use Silver Lining Services again.
