    GC Electric Company Inc
Outstanding from start to finish. Very professional employees and all our questions were answered as well as all emails and phone calls were promptly returned. Project Manager, Nate knew all the answers to our questions, handled the permits and was perfect to work with. We would definitely recommend Nate and GC Electric and their employees to anyone that wants a project done right the first time.

    G.A. Electric
I've had Glenn of GA Electric to my house multiple times over the years -- I keep calling him back because he's efficient, friendly, and I learn something from him each time. When we first moved in he did basics for us such as GFCI install, adding new receptacles, and fixing a poorly done junction box. Subsequent visits he added a light to a ceiling fan and hooked up new radiant heat in a bathroom. He has allowed me to linger while he works and talks to me about what he's doing so I get to learn something. He has responded very quickly each time I called to schedule work, and his prices seem very reasonable. I should also emphasize how friendly he is! It's fun to have him in the house.

    Kirkpatrick Generators Inc
Mark and Vicki are a fantastic team! We have been working with Kirkpatrick Electric since 2013 and we are very happy with their work. Mark works with a sense of urgency and has a true passion for his trade. He provides detailed descriptions of the scope of work that needs to be performed, the parts that are needed and the timeline in which the work will be accomplished. He is honest and transparent and that is often hard to come by these days! Since Vicki joined the team, paperwork and billing have been a breeze. We highly recommend Kirkpatrick Electric for your electrical/generator needs!

    Ed Miller Electric

work was exceptional.  Had to run a new line from the main panel for approximately 150 feet, as the sub panel in our craft room was already at max capacity.  Had to remove drop ceiling during install.  Panels were put back and you would never know they were disturbed.  Install looks as though it was original when house was built. He also looked at and repaired my outdoor lamp post light at no extra charge.

Had used Mr Miller previously to install my swimming pool heater.  Again the install was very professional and finished job ahead of time.  Would not hesitate to use Mr. Miller for any future electrical needs.  Tops in my book

    DONE RIGHT HOME IMPROVEMENT, LLC
Was extremely happy with Al, we experienced multiple delays and issues related to the project that were beyond the contractors control and through all issues, Al was adaptable and attentive to all our needs and stayed within our budget as best as possible.  would highly recommend this company for all your general contractor/home improvement needs.

    KMG Electric
Kevin was great. He did a great job installing the tv mount, shelves, thermostat, and reset several outlets in my house. He was very personable and price was perfect. I will use him in the future and definitely recommend him to my friends.

    KB Electric LLC
Keith fielded the initial call, understood my needs and recommended an interlock rather than the traditional transfer switch and panel. This option would allow me to power any switches in the panel - barring load - and was a more logical option for my portable generator set-up. I received a general quote over the phone, had sent a text photo of my panel, and we scheduled for the very next week after the parts came in. This was easier than the second quote I received where I had to schedule an in-person quote.
I asked for about another 100 foot of cable to extend the 30 amp plug across the basement and into the garage, as opposed to an outside plug near the panel but away from where my generator would be. This was a little pricey, but I have little to compare it to.
Will and his apprentice arrived on time and as schedule. Will was very professional and pleasant. The job was done in no time. I received an explanation of the operation and was offered the time so we could run a full test.
I will use KB for all my subsequent needs, especially since we will begin phase 2 renovations at our home.

*Ran a full load test and all worked well, exciting guy-stuff.

**I finally received a belated update from another reputable AL electrician, and their price was 70% higher for the same body of work. I changed the price grade from B to A.

    JOE GRAY HOME IMPROVEMENTS
I cannot be more pleased.  Here is the short version in this first paragraph, reading-on for gory details.

Finally, I've ?got a guy? who acts with integrity, is professional, does a high-quality job, is friendly and, most importantly, is incredibly reliable.  This was no small job. We just moved-in and contacted Joe to help us with windows, flooring and more. No creepy sub-contractors or laborers. Very amicable, extremely reliable and dedicated.  Very fair price, much better than the quote I got at Big-Box home improvement store.  Many handymen have Angie reviews showing that they can do small jobs, and I needed one who could do both big jobs will skill and small stuff with equal consideration and care.  I will call Joe soon for a finished basement, maybe the attic or french doors in my office... likely all of them.

The workers:  Joe takes great pride in his reputation, and that?s how I found him on Angie?s List.  I am a veteran when it comes to home renos, and I had many concerns about sub-contractors, reliability, quality, and transparency regarding pricing and change-orders. First, Joe does the estimate, and he is always on the job as the principal.  Second, if he needs assistance, Joe is smart in that he networks with his fellow contractors so that he gets skilled and reliable help.  This quid pro quo relationship was interesting because I would have thought Joe would want to hire cheaper labor to help with the grunt work, but as he explained ? and demonstrated - it goes faster and better when two people who know what they are doing work together, e.g., installing new construction windows, Joe?s partner knew what was next, what Joe would need, and then worked his side while Joe did the other ? same with hardwood installation, the other guy knew which pieces to pick (the wood colors and patterns are very diverse and need some planned placement) and helped move along installation.  I would trust any of Joe?s network of professionals.

Unexpectedly dedicated to the job: Joe did not fly around from job-to-job, thereby unduly delaying our project?s completion. Joe was here every day at 8 a.m. and stayed until 4:30 for over six weeks.  He was extremely organized and neat, cleaning-up every day.

My family is not too keen on having contractors in our home for long periods ? we?re a bit paranoid that way.  We felt extremely comfortable with Joe and any helpers (again, not just any laborers).  We felt so comfortable that child sick-days or work from home days were no problem.  In fact, with the Christmas and New Year holiday, Joe was accommodating enough to leave us be during our time off from work as we requested, although he was willing to work the day after Christmas and up to New Year?s Eve if we didn't ask.  Joe actually has a Santa-like jolly nature and laugh, and the kids liked him.

Joe communicated the plan clearly, provided the estimate accurately, and charged me very fairly.  Change orders were no problem, and I never felt like I was being gouged when I asked for a modification on-the-fly.  Again, I trusted him ? contrary to my experience ? and he deserved that trust.

Hickory hardwood floors were installed on 1,100 square foot; the challenge was removing the existing hardwood and two-layers of linoleum and glue board in the kitchen.  The original construction carpenters nailed the glue board every 3-4 inches which was secure but a dog to tear-up.  The area was properly prepped, the job logically started at my office, then into the kitchen on a day that was least intrusive, and then onto the remainder.  Without asking, the sub-flooring was screwed down to avoid squeaking ? which it did in certain areas.  Everything was cleaned-up afterwards, ready to set furniture and decorate.  You should see it, amazing.  The Big-Box home improvement estimate was more, and they did not quote removing the kitchen floor because they didn't want to.

New and modified windows installed: We had many windows replaced, but, more challenging, Joe converted one wall with a single window to an amazing 3-window configuration (see image).  Joe properly removed the drywall, had to re-route electric, and re-installed drywall, taping and spakling perfectly ? I painted.  The attic had small windows, and Joe added larger windows requiring proper cutting and trimming inside and out, boy was it cold up there.  A slider was replaced, and Joe detected water intrusion from before and raised and sealed the section to avoid future problems.  I noticed the exterior trim, and boy does it make my home look newer, cleaner and tight as a drum (see image).

Tiles in the mudroom and a laundry sink added: Joe properly removed linoleum and glue board, screwed-in hardy board, and? well? it looks amazing, level, neatly spaced, grouted, and fitted along edges.  All doors were replaced, washer-dryer put back into place and mudroom sink ready was ready to use.

I am writing this because it is important for us consumers to share stories in order that we may find service providers who care about their reputation.  Joe is our family's ?guy.?  There's so much still to do in this home, and with Joe making it quite easy (I hate the prospect of a bad contractor) we will have him back sooner than expected.

    Green Heating Cooling & Electric
I purchased this deal through Angie's List and was told that through Rapid Connect, the company would contact me within 48 hours. I received an email 24 hours later claiming that they had tried to contact me, however were unable to. I never received any calls. When I contacted them on 11/07, they told me that I was outside of their service area and they had no idea how I was able to order this service from them in the first place. I explained that I had paid through PayPal, and would like the money returned since no service would be rendered by them. They informed me that this money was still with Angie's List, and that they did not have it with them. The company has instructed me to contact Angie's List in order to have my money returned. I have also initiated a dispute through PayPal to get my money back.

    KMG Electric
The repair went great. Kevin called me before I could get up from the computer after posting my request on Angie's List. That was on Friday, May 9, 2014. He said he would come to my house at 8:00 a.m.. And that is exactly what happened. He arrived on time and identified the problem as the sump pumps. One was submersed, one was on a pedestal. Both were burned out. One was belching flames and the other was slowly smoking away in a well hidden corner of my basement. Even though he is an electrician, he instantly unhooked them from the electrical outlet and the waded into the depths of the sump pump well and removed the bad devices. He put them in a bucket and removed them one by one. This kept any foul drippings from any of our carpets. Out on the front lawn he showed me the bad sump pumps and asked if I wanted him to go to a local Lowes or Sears to obtain replacements. I approved that and he returned within 45 minutes with the new units and had them replaced quite quickly. He also replaced the PVC pipes which he showed me had been cross threaded upon installation. Kevin is a man of his word with quick responses and working out solutions. That was on Monday. By Friday we had an all day soaking rain and the sump pumps worked great! Thank you Kevin. I will definitely have him back for y further electrical needs.
