Reglazed the bathtub
We were in the process of getting our home ready to be put on the market and the bathtub needed refinishing. Blaise was to come out the previous week, but another job needed addressed before ours. He had called and asked if he could reschedule which was fine with us. He came several days later on 5/20/13 to do the reglazing. The entire process took approximately 5 1/2 hrs from the time he arrived. We thought the bathtub looked great until I noticed flaws the next day in the bathtub. The product he used had bubbled in several places around the drain and there were pits in several areas. I called Blaise Boyko, the owner of American Tub and Tile Reglazing. I explained what I found and he said that he'd come out after he was done at the end of the day. My husband and I waited that day and didn't go anywhere thinking he was coming. He did not show up that day. We called again and again he gave us a date that he would come out, but didn't show on that day either. We played phone tag for several days and he finally came about a month later to see what we were not happy about. When I showed him the flaws, he said and quot;Oh, that's an easy fix. I'll come back when my schedule is freed up and wet sand the flaws.and quot; We waited a couple of weeks and after several more phone calls he finally came out on 7/9/13 to repair his flaws. Unfortunately, he did not repair them properly. The bubbles are still there. He did sand it down a little, but told my husband that he was afraid to sand it down any further because he would do more damage to it. Unfortunately, I was not home on that day. Had I been there, I would have told him to redo it. His invoice states in writing and quot;When You Want the Job Done Rightand quot; along with the following statement, and quot;American Tub and Tile Reglazing Systems (Quality Product - Honest Work). On his website and speaking with him, he mentions how many yrs. experience he has in the field and he also informs the caller that he has 25 yrs. experience working for GNU Tub. The years don't add up. That was the reason that we had hired him. For someone with that many years experience, one would expect a job well done. We did not receive that type of service. Blaise charged us $399.00 but delivered an inferior service. We feel that he should either come back and redo the tub or refund our money. Your assistance would greatly help. Thank you. Irene Wright
