  • The wait time was fairly short, especially as they were running a bit behind and had a full waiting room. The nurses were personable, and the doctors friendly and thorough. I spent over 20 minutes with the physician discussing symptoms and treatments.

  • Midwives at Magee are very supportive and take a lot of time with you to answer questions and things like that. They're really responsive if you call in with questions or problems during your pregnancy, in particular. They take time with you after the birth of the child, too. They're just a really good group of women. They have a much more nature approach to childbirth than traditional doctors. Midwives advocate for natural births and not medications and things like that. But they are in a hospital, in case you need medical back-up during your childbirth. It is good to have the best of both worlds that way.

  • I see Dr. Archer 3 or 4 times a year.  She performs my annual physical and periodic prescription reviews.  The staff is always accommodating and I have never had any negative experiences.  I would highly recommend her.

  • Dr. Archer is a caring person, easy to talk to, and does not make you feel rushed. I did see her at her Allison Park location, and sometimes have trouble getting a timely appointment there, since she is only there limited hours. The only other problem I have had is getting referrals. The staff processes them, but the specialist doesn't always receive them, so I don't know where the breakdown is there.

  • In 2001 I had serious knee pain. The knee hurt even when I was standing still and it also felt unstable. I first went to one of the large healthcare systems in Pgh for a MRI and physical therapy. My recollection is that the MRI indicated that I had a scarred knee meniscus. I went for about 6 therapy sessions at the large facility. I felt that the physical therapy that I received at the large facility was well-intentioned but it really didn't help my knee pain very much. A friend recommended Mary Beach who has a practice in Oakmont. After going there for about 6 sessions my knee was much better. While the previous facility had relied solely upon exercises to treat my knee, Mary Beach used a combination of exercises, heat, deep massge and electro-stimulation. The change was miraculous. I had no further problem with that knee until about 2006. In 2006 I noticed a sharp pain in the same knee when coming out of a crouch position. I was working out of the Pgh area for most of the time from 2006 to 2010 and could not get in to see Mary Beach. Also, I found a way to avoid the pain so it wasn't a pressing issue. But I didn't want to neglect it until it got worse. Finally in July, 2010, I went to see her about the knee and also a wrist problem. She evaluated my knee symptoms and decided that this time physical therapy was not likely to be effective -- most likely I would eventually (maybe 5+ years from now) need an injection into my knee or surgery. However, I had injured my wrist about 9 months previously and she gave me some exercises which now seem to be helping to get my wrist back to normal. In summary, given my experience in 2001 and 2010, I rate Mary Beach as being in the very top group of medical providers that I have encountered. In my opinion she has knowledge, insight and skills that put her at the top of her profession.

  • I started going here after my primary care physician retired. She is on the spot with having tests done, letting me know the results. I have a test for medicine I take, once a month in the morning, and she always calls the next day to let me know of any needed adjustments. Only one time in 2 years has it been more than the next day. She has good bedside manner, takes time to listen to your ails.

  • I have been with this business for twenty one years. They have more than one physician, so it is easy to get an appointment. The parking is good but not easily accessible to public transportation. They are friendly, professional and do not make you wait a long time to be seen. They have a very good list of referrals for specialists. They are very good about getting back to you on test results and are very good about sending requested information to other health care providers. My insurance covers the cost.

  • Very little wait time. Friendly staff. Ingrown toenail was removed and easy after care instructions were given.

  • We requested his medical records so another physician could review them and they then thought that we were going to sue them for some reason. They refused to see either of us after that.
