The contract was signed & a 50% deposit given. The job was to have been done within a month. Excuses, excuses & no sign of windows after many texts. 5 months went by. 7 months and nearly a year. No windows. He has ignored notices from the Attorney General. The man is clearly a thief.

    M&K Renovations LLC
We had a ground water flood in August 2018 that created a lot of problems and frustration. Within 72 hours of the flood, Ian arrived and he helped us assess the situation and we went to visit other homes in my neighborhood and asked them how they "engineered out" the problem. We felt confident that the work they were recommending was fair and we actually saved a lot of money and grief by doing the project the way he recommended. Ian was wonderful and we would absolutely use M&K again for future projects.

He did an excellent job. The house looks totally different. All the 1970's paneling is gone . The steps downstairs look brand new even though they are 45 years old. The bedrooms look awesome and the bathrooms are beautiful . He was able to stay on time for the most part . The painting had to be delayed for a few days due to the humid weather. I planned to use him again for the jobs I have upcoming next year.

The room looks great! From the start, Andrew stood out, starting with listening to what we wanted and putting together a detailed proposal at a fair price. Now complete, the craftsmanship is excellent!

    Stippco Construction & Remodeling
Absolutely Terrible quality work. Rob wanted to vent the bathroom exhaust fan directly in to the raw sewage line, the framing was so off that it had to be entirely redone. The walls are not level, the windows are not symmetrical. With the insulation, he kept moving the same 3 pieces of insulation in the ceiling to the area visible from the floor...i.e. he'd put a section of drywall up, move the insulation to the edge so it was visible, remove it, place another section of drywall then move the insulation down. The only way to tell the area wasn't actually being insulated was to climb a ladder and look over the ceiling. And this is just the beginning. The holes cut in the drywall for lights, outlets and such were so poorly cut that every one of them had to have a massive amount of spackle, then be sanded or the drywall sections redone. He used staples to hold the drywall corner beads so, had they not been ripped out, they would have rusted and required removal and repainting.... He claimed to be a plumber. However, the first question out of every plumbers mouth that I showed his work to was "who, did this?" Followed by "Wow, this is terrible, this isn't to code." His solder work on the water pipes was so terrible it had to be pulled out and completely redone. He even managed to take a water line and bend it around a truss rather than cut the connecting pipes to the correct length. I eventually had to fire him and am in the process of removing and redoing nearly the entirety of the work he performed. He constantly asked for more money throughout the job. He wanted a huge deposit, then constantly asked for more money before meeting the goals and payment milestones outlined in the contract. He claimed to be a registered contractor in Pennsylvania, which his is not. He insisted on charing tax on tax exempt work. Here's the sad part. When I finally got fed up with his poor quality work and inability to pass basic inspections and terminated the contract, he decided that literally walking by and tearing out and uprooting my landscaping was the answer... Every single time they finished work I had to go over it and look for things that were not done right, or would potentially caused a massive amount of damage later on had it not been corrected. Buyer be very aware. This guy is a total scammer and is in no way a contractor to be considered. My basement is nearly going to cost double the higher end of quotes I got before hiring Stippco, Simply because contractors now have to remove the work he did in order to do it properly.

    Surefire Construction Inc
Dave was great throughout the whole process and was very patient with our changes. Once the final draft was decided on, Dave had the final pricing within a day. Once we signed on, Surefire had us started within 2 weeks. Their supervisor Steve was involved from the very 1st day and was great to work with. We did change a few items once the layout started in the basement with no hesitation or delays from Surefire. Steve walked us through the process from the framing, a plumbing walk through, electrical walk through, including the surround sound for the t.v's and the bar layout. It was a pleasure to have a company keep us involved throughout the process and let us make some of the decisions, where we could. Once the basement was at drywall, they helped us lay out the rooms for furniture so we could order the right size items. We had custom paint throughout and they were very accommodating when we changed a few accent walls. The covered the hardwood floors once they were installed. The cabinetry at the bar was made easy with their cabinet distributor they used. We went to their showroom and the space measurements were already there. We confirmed several items we wanted to add and chose the cabinets and we were on our way! Once the carpet went in, it was down to the small detail touch ups. Steve walked us through and made notes on any of our concerns/touch ups needed. They completed this in a day and the job was complete. We were recommended Surefire from a family friend. I was previously not a member of Angie's List, but became one so that I could leave this review. Besides the normal construction hiccups, this process and the men that worked on our project we just a pleasure. I already recommended them to another friend of mine. They will be back for the kitchen and bathroom renovations I have in mind for the future. They really nailed this one!

    Edgewater Residential Homes LLC
Bruce of Edgewater Residential was a breath of fresh air with respect to contractors.  He was extremely responsive, adaptable to changes I made during construction, and excellent in making recommendations to make the project even better.  Bruce was able to work with me for the cost of the project and in the end delivered a beautiful basement at a cost that was very reasonable.  I would have no reservations in recommending Bruce for any home remodel job and would use him in the future without any reservations.

WCDB did a fantasic job in renovating the interior of our home that was built in the '50's. It took about 6-7 months from start to finish with the majority of the time in the winter months. I met with Chris Payson and he suggested some great ideas about the renovation, he advised about the dormer addition and we decided to go for it as it will expand the master bedroom and add additional square footage to the house. Below are some of the work done.
    - New Kitchen
    - Total Renovation of 4 bedrooms (dormer addition to the master bedroom)
    - Total renovation of 2 bathrooms.
    - Hardwood floors installed ( 1st and 2nd floors)
    - drywall
    - insulation
    - basement drain system
    - Updated electricals
WCDB was very easy to work with, all of the team members were pleasant and professional. There were lots of communication, most of it were ordering the materials, ie. appliances and lighting. The overall price I thought was a little high, but that all comes from negotiation.

    Millenium Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling
Kip's professionalism is exceptional. From day 1 he was punctual, upfront, and compromising while assessing our most pressing needs for our basement renovation.  We were on a tight budget and timeline-words a contractor hates most!  Kip immediately helped us work through all of our red-tape to get the job started and went above and beyond to make sure our best interests were kept intact. Additionally, he was very willing to work with us while we navigated the tornado-like confusion of using a Renovation Loan from our bank.  Thankfully, when we pulled out of that mess, Kip kept on the job and helped us work through the process of finding an alternative to keep our financial commitments.  Keeping us STRESS-FREE! This was a blessing considering our timeline was paramount due to a new member coming into our family.
Kip's project manager, Greg, was a pleasure to have working on our project.  He was very detailed oriented and open to our fluctuating design decisions. He provided valuable suggestions throughout  this process and was very focused on his craftsmanship.  We felt EXTREMELY comfortable having him in working while we were in and out of our house.
Due to our timeline being hard to meet, Kip worked with us on finding a solution for completing some of the job that we did not want to have worked on once our baby arrived.  We setup up a staggered timeline throughout the upcoming months to have  a couple projects completed.  All of this was immediately agreed to and delivered upon, since most of the renovation has wrapped up this past April.  With all of the mishaps, changes, curve balls, and dilemmas that spring up during a major construction job, Kip and his team have always been easy to deal with and exceptional at delivering what they have promised.  They made it as easy as it could be for us. We highly recommend Millennium Remodeling LLC under any circumstance!
