Do Tire Patches Work?

Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Norristown

We have been customers of Bob Wilson Gulf for well over 10 years.  He and his team do great work and are honest and fair with their prices.  I have had the most simple jobs of oil changes and inspections as well as the big jobs like a shift cable and a Throtle Body Replacement for a rough idle.

Got a deal for inspection and emissions test through Angie's List. Very easy to schedule appointment. They called and said I needed 2 new tires and new windshield wipers. They gave me options for prices for the tires. Prices were very fair and the work was done within hours. Great service!

Firestone has good deals for PA safety inspection and emission testing ($39.99) and Oil Change w/tire rotation ($24.99) w/coupon. They were prompt and polite with my oil change. In addition to requested work, they always inspect your vehicle to identify and provide repair estimates for issues or worn parts, which some people may find annoying.

On this occasion Firestone indicated that I needed rear brakes and new tires. I had already been alerted to low brake pads and worn tires a month earlier at another service center, where the vehicle passed an annual PA safety inspection. Since I was not sure how long it would take me to wear down the remaining 1/32 brake pads, I made some calls and found 3 local auto centers with lower estimates (via incentives / coupons) than Firestone. Ultimately I had the rear brakes replaced for less than half the Firestone estimate, which was $201 w/PA tax.

It went well. The service was fast. They are always helpful at the tire center. The rotations are free and we are always able to bring it past while we are shopping at Costco to have they check the tire pressure and rotate the tires for free. I also love that the prices noted for each tire include any fees or disposal charges so you know exactly what you are paying up front. The staff is helpful and nice to talk with.

The service I received at Midas was very friendly and helpful.  My family and I were all packed up in the car leaving for vacation.  We noticed that some of our tires were low.  We just stopped by Midas and explained the situation.  They told us they would get us in right away.  Just a few short minutes later, they checked the pressure and filled the tires.  There was no charge and I much appreciated them allowing us to get serviced so quickly as we were heading out.  While we were there they treated me and my family very nicely.

Technician called ahead to say he was on his way. Replaced front windshield on my son's car in no time at all. Was very courteous and car and area where he worked was clean when the job was done. Would definitely use again.

I had bought the tires myself as they were special order. I've always gotten good service there and the quality of their work is excellent. Plus, the prices are better than the other dealers in the area. It's an expensive car to maintain, but at the same time they probably should charge a higher labor rate than a lot of the brand shops around. They're usually quick to respond when I've placed an appointment, but sometimes when they say they'll call me back midday to give me an update on the car, I have to call them.

I purchased tires from Costco Tire Center.  They charged me for our tires in the $500 range.  I didn't have any problems, they were fine.  One price out the door.  If you belong there you also have the coupon saving $70.  Lifetime warrantee on flats and things like that.  It's a good deal.  Usually meets or beats any body's price around.

s I called around to different places in the morning to get prices. Sears was the best price. when I got to the shop, the guy behind the counter was trying to sell me tires for 100.00 a tire more than I was quoted on the phone. I pulled out my notes and gave him a name of who I spoke to and the price I was quoted, he spent 20 minutes looking for the tires at the price I was quoted, and could not find them. so it was't until I was ready to walk out that they 'found' the tires at the price I was quoted.
I had to back, a 2nd time to get the tires balanced again, and was told it would take an hour and a half and it took 2 and half hours and my steering whell still rattles.
Sears has been a nightmare to deal with

They keep my 97 T-Bird and 03 Mazda in good shape.  They always finish on time and are easy to talk with.  I usually work with Frank or Steve.  I was recommended to them initially by others in Paoli.  They're easy to get to right behind the Wawa and walking distance to bus/train routes.
